The miso butterfish bento is the best item on the menu. I also like the potato salad and the kinpira gobo. Donโ€™t forget to get a stamp for every bento purchased. You get a free bento after you buy ten.

Everything looked so good I couldn't decide what to get. The food was delicious and the price was good. Definitely going back to try the other bentos.

A solid bento spot. A good selection freshly made. They even give you a bottled water to go. Will stop again if in the area.

Good bento shop, they have a variety of bentos. You can order online if you want to ensure they will have the kind you want. Everything Iโ€™ve had has been tasty.

The bento's are very reasonably priced and very ono. The only thing is the ala cart price of $9.99 per lb.. Little steep. But over all, the bento's are plenty for the price. Free miso soup or bottled water with a bento purchase. Going to be one of my favs in Kapolei.

It was good. I enjoyed the shrimp and spicy ahi handrolls. System is simple and straightforward -- walk-in, pick what you like, take it to the register, and then walk out to a place to enjoy your food.

Been coming here for over two years, mochicko chicken is best i have tasted, not oily at all, always consistent taste. My fave is the Katsudon with multi-grain rice and at $6.99 cannot go wrong. Also Mon-Weds, senior citzen, 10% off. Excellent service, friendly staff.

Open early! Yummy bento to pick from. But the shrimp roll is the best, no need shoyu cause they already have a sauce and mayo inside the roll! Great place for vegetarians too.

Japanese food is not usually good and inexpensive but Mamaya has definitely achieved that rare balance! First heard about it on Cheap Eats with Guy Hagi and now we're regulars, but get there early or all the best items are gone!

A place for good quality centos at a reasonable price. Miso butterfish is delicious. And there is a selection of entrees to choose from and build your own combinations for $8 per pound. All combos come with complimentary miso soup while supplies last.

Best place for bento lunch! Large variety of options and always consistently quality food. Come early as they do sell out of some options.

I love the flavors of the food Mamaya offers! Really tasty, homestyle Japanese cooking. The multigrain rice is ono, too! Went in for a late lunch on Sunday (they close at 4PM) to find the hot/cold make your own bento service line already closed (at 2 PM), so was disappointed in the small selection of bento, donburi and musubi (minus one star.) Bento purchase includes a choice of miso soup, or mini bottle of water. Loyalty card available. Small place w/limited seating; I recommend "take out" to eat in the comfort of your home, or at one of the nearby parks in 'Aiea. And go early before they run out of food!

Great for a quick bite. Just be careful if you get from the hot bar. You can easily spend a lot because it's tempting to pile on food. They charge by the pound for the hot bar. They also have a microwave available for premade food that you might need to warm up.

I remembered coming here years ago when I lived on the Westside and they first opened. I'd since moved so I forgot about it but saw a friend post a pix on IG. We drove out to Mamaya today. We all loved it a lot! ๐Ÿฅฐ I purchased the large misoyaki butterfish bento ๐Ÿฑ to eat there and spicy ahi inari and crunchy ume musubi ๐Ÿ™ for tomorrow. Everything in my bento was delicious! I just ate one of the spicy ahi inari as a snack and omg... so yummy! ๐Ÿ˜‹ We all agreed that the rice was cooked to perfection! ....my cousin had the dynamite bento and some fried ika and said 2 thumbs up!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ ....my friend had food from the okazu bar and was pleasantly surprised!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ I just wish the not so busy counter person would wipe the tables and clean up around the okazu bar as there was a blob of potato salad from the fine we came until after we left... she never moved from the register... BUT!!! We'll definitely be back! I wish it was closer to town...๐Ÿ˜•
