Everything was delicious! The samosas had a nice spice that lingers after you finished eating for a few minutes. The Naan 🫓 was really well made and had a nice fresh crunch to it. The chicken 🍗 dish was full of flavor. Family owned since 1994 and had a Tibetan unique decor inside.
I loved the experience of having a dinner in the Kathmandu restaurant. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The attention given was also unique, thank you Daniel. Great cost-benefit. I would definitely come back and recommend it.
Great find with this tiny place, we had a delicious meal of two lamb dishes and one salmon, plus a starter that looked like a veggie omelette covered with sauce but was a "rice" dish that was really very good. I look forward to eating here again! The only downside was they didn't have any bottles of red wine, just white.
Most of the soups and noodles are really good, but the barbecue paneer is disappointing (they have a plate of veggies with 1 piece of paneer). Super friendly wait staff, and the rest of the food was amazing. Clean location in a convenient venue as well - absolutely will visit again!
We had a fun group dinner via Google hangout and a delicious meal from Kathmandu! We had a menu from the chef - chicken and lamb curries, dal, naan, momos and delicious sauces (tamarind, cilantro and hot sauce) and Kathmandu special! Thank you! We loved it.
My favorite local Indian and Nepali spot! Even with so many excellent places on solano to choose from, this special place stands out with its cozy atmosphere, delicious food and friendly family service — plus a few dishes I haven’t found anywhere else (the jhasa shamdeh yogurt-sauce chicken dish stands out as a favorite) and the best freshest naan around, sooo good!!
Great Place for an Exotic Spicy Treat. I've been going to Kathmandu since 2000. Good for a party of both vegetarians and meat eaters especially if the meat eaters like spicy lamb. The vegetarian items are all clearly marked on the menu which is great. The food is on the heavy side, so I need work out extra hard after eating there; but wow does it taste good! A family run place, I got a kick out of watching the kids grow up over the years. A tip if you need to stay up all night for your job: forget ordering extra shots at Starbucks -- instead order two pots of Chai with dinner; guaranteed to keep you awake all night. I regularly ate at this place when I was working at a "startup" tech company and needed to put in 18 hour days.
Food was great. It has a very nice environment. A little pricey but completely reasonable for the quality.
When I think pad thai I think a dry noodle dish, which doesn't sound appealing. Got the pad thai for $11 or so as it was one of the cheaper options. It was very well flavored. It looked a little oily but tasted perfect and fortunately not dry.
