The food is always made to order and served hot! It is also very flavorful. I have a difficult time choosing what to eat because everything I've tried is great. I do love the egg drop soup, egg rolls, chicken (or beef) with vegetables, chicken (or beef) with broccoli, kung pao chicken, General Tso Chicken, and fried rice. I have not tried any seafood dishes only because I cannot eat seafood. My kids love to eat there and always ask to go. The customer service is awesome and our food is ready pretty quick considering that it is a sit down or call-in restaurant. The prices are reasonable.
Great food. The price shocked me. Very affordable.
This is our favorite place for Chinese food. Consistently delicious and inexpensive! Love it!

Food ALWAYS consistently fresh cooked to order, great flavors, and waiting staff friendly and accommodating... Don't each real spicey, they will make sure its not.
Exceptional. I have Celiac Disease, and eating out can be a nightmare. However, I have been eating at Rose Garden on Universe & Paradise for the past 7 years, and I have never gotten sick, nor have I had a bad meal. The food is always very fresh and the prices are extremely reasonable.
The restaurant is family-owned, and the entire staff is very attentive and helpful.
One gripe: they charge an additional $1.00 for brown rice -- which is ridiculous. On top of that, the brown rice is the only thing that is not fresh (they keep it in their refrigerator, and warm it up once it is ordered). While it doesn't taste bad, it does not taste fresh and it does take away from the overall meal quality. As such, I order the white rice.
We have eaten at Rose Garden since they opened and have never hss a bad experience. The food has always been top quality, prepared quickly, and presented well. The staff are very efficient but still courteous. I recommend Rose Garden to folks in this area all the time.
Yum!. I started getting take out from here when I was in college for lunch, a ton of food for under 6 bucks and it sure beats a greasy burger!
Very decent! Could use one more employee in dining area during dinner time. For the price you get a lot of food. I wouldn't say it is the best Chinese food but definitely the beat I have had in a while in abq.
Excellent, affordable Chinese food! Always fresh and fast. You can't go wrong there. I love the egg foo young and my honey loves the Kung pao chicken.
Best you will find in Albuquerque. Before moving to Albuquerque I basically lived on Chinese food. Once I moved here I realized that there was not a single Chinese restaurant that I would consider going back to. I tried the places that were rated the "best" in Albuquerque and came to the conclusion that I would only be eating Chinese food twice a year when I returned home for visits.
My husband came across this restaurant one day and insisted on going. I was extremely hesitant, but he was persistent . I was so happy I almost cried at the table when my food came. It was by far the best I have had in Albuquerque to date. Being skeptical of the consistency of the food (another problem I have come across in Albuquerque) I waited to write my review until I had eaten there a few more times. The quality of the food is pretty consistent. I am not claiming that this is the best Chinese food I have ever had, and would compare it to take out Chinese from other cities, for Albuquerque though it is great!
The service is really good and the waitress always recognizes us. They are friendly and attentive. I have never had to wait long for my food, refills, or check. If I lived on the West end I would eat there weekly.
I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. Especially if you are a transplant craving decent Chinese food!
GREAT FOOD EXELENT STAFF. This has become a regular meal spot for my family even though we dont live close to it. the 15-20 minute drive is worth it. we always get great service and wonderful food. we have tried almost everything on the menu. my favorites are the orange chicken(just enough spicy) and the hot and sour soup. i have eaten chinese food from philadelphia to san diego and this is one of the best i have ever had.
Fast and good. Rose Garden is very close to my house, and I have ordered take out from there quite a few times. Usually I get the combo selection, which includes a choice of soup and an eggroll, along with the entree.
The food is quite good, and always satisfies. My only complaint is that the spicy labeled items aren't always spicy, even though you can see the chilis that were cooked in the meal.
The price is quite reasonable, and just the fact that I can order and pick up hot, good tasting Chinese food in 10-15 mins, is a huge plus for me.
I would recommend Rose Garden to anyone. Give it at least a chance, you might make it a regular haunt.
Great Food, Good Prices. The Chinese food in ABQ is notoriously bad, but this one is different. It is more like a Chinese restaurant that you might find elsewhere in the country.
The food quality and flavor is good. In another place, I would say that it was a standard to above average Chinese place, but it is probably the best in ABQ. I have tried most of the places that have received decent reviews online, but this one is the only one that I actually looked forward to revisiting.
Best Egg Foo Young in New Mexico. Wonderful and attentive staff. You will love it!
AMAZING!!!. This is the perfect place for inexpensive but delicious chinese food. I'm a pretty broke college student, but i can eat there when ever i like and not regret spending the money. YUMMY!!!
This place was great for takeout. The food was above average and when we were there, only a short wait. This place was super close to where we were staying, so I can see it becoming one of our favorite grab-and-take-home places.
Always consistent, the cashew nut chicken no baby corn add bean sprouts. Both locations are great! I love the fact it’s a family business- Howe do we know this? The youngest does her homework right there during the evening rush! Now that’s a family business!! Keep up the great work.
Delicious food. Great for takeout. The shrimp in lobster sauce was some of the best I've had. And the egg drop soup was perfect. Can't wait to order sgain!
I’m for sure not a regular here because it is way out of my way, but is consistently worth the 30 min drive (one way). It’s always delicious and the staff is very friendly and efficient. One of the best things is that the food is so piping hot that it is still fresh and hot when I get home 30 minutes later! I’ve been going to both locations for about 15 years and I have never had a bad experience. Best Egg Foo Young I’ve found in Albuquerque, love the hot and sour soup and my son loves the Orange Chicken. It’s an order at the counter or take out type of place so definitely not the spot to go if you’re looking for a table service atmosphere.
Best Chinese take-out in the area. Their extensive menu and very consistent quality make this our go-to choice. They have recently reopened the dining room for in restaurant dine in. They have two locations nearby. If it is Monday or Tuesday, be sure to choose the open one.
First time here, and I wasn't sure what to expect. It is not a traditional sit-down Chinese establishment nor fast food. The service is excellent and the food is tasty. I had the pepper steak and it was really good. I cannot tell you the last time I have seen pork fried rice on a menu.
The food here is always good. Made to order. Dining in is not great. Food comes in to go containers. You se a t yourself and get your own drinks, which are not in the dining room but the lobby area.
When we want Chinese food, our go-to now is Rose Garden. They are reasonably priced, the food is really good, portion sizes are enough for a couple meals, and the service is always great. The crab rangoons are to die for just have to put that out there.
I deducted a star on the food simply because of the containers they use that don't allow any moisture out. When you order for delivery, expect none of your main courses to be crispy and order your food accordingly. This won't apply to the fried rice, egg/spring rolls, crab rangoons, or their amazing soups, but any of the battered chicken and beef it most def does apply.
I personally just take-out now and when I get in my car. I crack all the dishes tops and carefully place them where they won't get tipped over. This allows them to keep a lot of the crispy.
All-in-all a great place to eat and wonderful people serving you. Just wish they would get containers that let out some moisture.
With the exception of their pot stickers, dumplings and egg rolls, which are very good, their fried fare is average at best (think sweet and sour shrimp or orange chicken). But their other offerings are excellent. Their kung pao is possibly the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked protein and vegetables every time, just the right heat, not too greasy, no skimping on meat, and more than enough to feed two. Portions are huge and very reasonably priced.
Good food! The lunch menu is where it is at, for the price you get a ton of food!
