Since moving to ABQ almost six years ago, I have been searching for a good, dense whole grain bread that rivaled my fave from Texas. I had lots of recommendations, but they all proved too wimpy. Today, my search ended! At the downtown grower's market, I picked up a loaf from Bosque Baking Company, and it was exactly what I had been looking for. Wish I would have found it sooner, but it was worth the wait!
Hands down, THE BEST artisanal, homemade breads and other goodies in the entire city! Possibly the Best in the State.
Food made with heart and soul. Crazy delicious. Thank you!
Coming from the East coast, this is some of the best bread I have ever had. It's what bread should taste like!
Always been a fan of the bread here but the scone and cookies we just had knocked it out of the park. Phenomenal.
I am beyond thankful that I stumbled upon this local delicacy! The walnut sourdough is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The old world rye is PHENOMENAL! Plainly speaking, I continually look forward to the Downtown Grower's Market each week for a tasty loaf from Bosque Baking Co.
Yum! Reminds me of my childhood--delicious, wholesome goodness..and ginger molasses cookies?! Yes, please.
Amazing savory empanadas - AMAZING!!
My husband is obsessed with the green Chile sour dough bread from Bosque Baking. It makes super delicious warm sandwiches sandwiches like a turkey melt. The shop kind of blends in with the surroundings so it may be easy to pass by, but if you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and take home some.
Fantastic lighting, wood everywhere, plants, gorgeous environment. Really big selection of cookies, breads, and unique pairings. Had the mini pecan and it was perfect; not too sweet but that perfect pecan goo that's just lovely butter. Finally a place that doesn't cut crust with lard! Just beautiful flaky dough. Also had the red chile chocolate and quintuple chocolate cookies. Really nice, great prices, really nice service. Just lovely.
WOW! I've driven by this place, literally, hundreds of times, today was my first stop. How did I not know this was here? I got a delicious cherry empanada with wonderfully flavorful, light, flaky dough and the best peanut butter cookie I've ever had. The green chile sourdough is incredible, also! Don't sleep on this place, if you do, it's your fault.
I found this bakery on Google Map. I must say it is very much like European bread. It is tasty, right consistency inside and out. I bought a green chili, rye and olive. Yum, yum, yum. And the price is also fantastic. Go get some.
Great bread and have always had friendly service. Love the cookies too.
Everything I have tried is amazing. I showed up 5 minutes after they opened and there was a line out the door. I almost don’t want to tell you how good it is in order to preserve the green chili sourdough availability. The savory empanadas are so good, their cookies are great the vibe is wonderful. I literally plan trips around their opening hours.
I love this bakery, I always buy the Green chile sourdough, the red chili pecan cookies, and I love every single thing I have tried. If you have a specific need you can call and order ahead. The staff is really nice and the atmosphere is interesting
Really good bread and pastries! Definitely worth stopping by. The Red Chile chocolate pecan cookie was amazing.
What a hidden gem!! The burnt honey latte is good enough to change your life. The green Chile croissant was our favorite pastry, but the sweet pepper, ham and cheese and eggplant focaccia were all delicious. The staff at the window were so cheerful and just made you feel so welcome.
Bosque Baking Company has the Best, Green Chile and South Valley Sourdough Bread!
I’ve Ever Tasted!!!
Francesca is Great and so is the Atmosphere!
I have been visiting the area for years and never knew this place existed till this month. I picked up an order for family and tried a chocolate chip cookie, well I placed three order's after that. I am back home in upstate NY and only have one cookie left, I wish I could place another order because those cookies are soooo very good but I don't think they ship cookies.😔 The best chocolate chip cookies I ever had.
We happened to be in the area on a Saturday morning, and stopped by. Oh man, the empanadas were wonderful and the loaf of green chile sourdough was out of this world. We do not live nearby, but this place alone gives us reason to head out of our way to return in the future. The best bread in Albuquerque!
A local Treasure. Seed bread best I've ever tasted. Red chili, garlic sourdough astonishing creation. Get there early, make friends as you stand in line, support this local bakery and your good taste/health...truly the art of Baking.
I have travelled the United States extensively, and I make it my mission to try every city’s sourdough. From every single loaf or slice I have tried, Bosque Bakings sourdough loaf is the absolute KING of sourdough. It is PROPER sour and could go on for paragraphs about how good it tastes. Everything from texture, texture, aroma, flavor and anything in between is divine! I would only like a loaf more suited for sandwiches, just because my sandwiches get pretty small towards the end of the loaf.
We had the sweet empanadas, the savory empanadas and oatmeal cookies.
They all tasted fresh and flavorful. Service was quick and friendly.
I refuse to tell the name of the most delicious cookie I ever ate and will only reveal that it was in fact from here. Mostly out fear that they won’t be there when next I go. It was made by a genius and caused a panic in my mouth. Confusion swept over me for I had never tasted love in cookie form. The softness melted to granules of sweetness evaporated to a memory that lingered well into the next month. I went back. I got to the car and the sack left a grease stain on my seat. Did I care? It could have set the car on fire if I could have one more of those cookies because I ate two before I got home. The other two were surely quaking in the kitchen reading my sinister mind. I am sure other places in the world have cookies with similar ingredients, but why bother?
Smells so good all of the time. They often have fresh loaves coming out of the over, and I got one today! When I cut it open it was steamy and soo so good. The cookies and empanadas are incredible and well!
