This was a great find. The pizza is awesome and the beer selection was good as well. I highly recommend the spicy sausage pizza, you won’t be disappointed!!
Being a native from Italy, this place has one of the best pizzas around! My parents and I went there for the first time and we sat at the bar. The service was great and the bartender was very attentive. The quality of the ingredients to make the pizza were fresh and delicious. You could tell that they put a lot of thought in the pizza pairings! Great location for a date night or a night on the town with your friends! The pizza dough and crust were cooked to perfection. The sauce was seasoned just right. I recommend asking for the mozzarella di bufala rather than the regular mozzarella. All in all, this was a great outing and I will be returning again soon!
This is a great little place! We had the Funghi pizza and the Mushroom soup. Both were really amazing! As an appetizer we had Bruschetta and although it wasn't the best I have had, it was pretty darn good! I sadly did not have any of their beers but I have heard they are excellent and are alone, worth coming for. We sat out on the street tables with a 5 year old, 3 month old and our small chihuahua and they were more than accommodating to us! Wonderful and prompt service! I have to say, for a Saturday night we made it just in time because less than 15 minutes later, the wait time skyrocketed to over an hour. It's a happening place but well worth it if you have the time to spare!
The food here is delicious. We had a hankering for Naples style pizza after our trip to Italy and this place hit the spot. Recommend calling ahead on Friday nights.
RedRocks was the perfect choice for an evening patio spot on King Street, and it was evident that everyone else thought so too as the place was continuously packed. If you’re in the mood for great atmosphere and even better pizza, head to Red Rocks in Old Town, or find them Arlington and DC on H Street and in Columbia Heights.
Had the margharita pizza - flavor was excellent, but crust was soggy! Overall experience was good enuf to give a second chance.
For lunch, this place is great! They were quick for service and very friendly. The food was really good as well for the $10 lunch. Recommended if you have a quick min to sit down and grab something to eat or linger people watching.
Love this place. RedRocks was the first restaurant I tried when I moved to Alexandria a few months ago... and even though it is a pizza place, it is still my go to place for a casual night out. The cheese is what does it for me, fresh and high quality. The crust is crunchy and delicious ( try the spicy olive oil with it yumm). The Caesar salad dressing is light and to die for.
Ive read other reviews about service... I have never had a bad service experience. If anything they were extremely pleasant, knowledgeable about the menu and gave great advice of what to order.
And lastly, I have read other reviews about the bottom of the pizza being soggy... in retrospect I guess it is soggy... but I have been to some of the best pizza places in New York and Chicago where the crust was soggy and people loved it. I think it is just the amount of fresh ingredients they use in combination was the chunks of fresh mozzarella ( vs cheap shredded cheese.)
All in all, it is a great place.
Awesome pizza. We were going to go to the other pizza place with 180 craft beers, but the reviews kept us away. Boy, we're we glad! The service was awesome, the pizza better, they have a wood fired 900 degree oven that puts out pizza in about 6 minutes. The salad with their house sliced cheese and assortment of fine cured meats was unbelievable and a few craft beers at a reasonable price topped it off. If your looking for a neighborhood place to have pizza and beer (or wine) in old town, this is your place.
Thin crust, spicy marinara (you have to ask for spicy), ample amounts of pepperoni with the just-right amount of char. Perfect balance of dough, sauce, spice, cheese, & toppings. I loved it. Was in Alexandria for 2 days and ate here both days.
If you like a lot of crust, this pizza could be the best ever. Man! So good!!
Absolutely loved it! We had the pepperoni and the flavor was just the right bit of spicy...fresh mozzarella and crispy crust made it perfection. Will be back!
Loved it. I got hooked on Neapolitan pizza in Italy, and can honestly say this is the best I've found outside of Italy. The crust texture is perfect. I love the "kick", as it is called, where the outer crust puffs up during cooking. This is required of certified neapolitan pizza even. Superb.

Solid Neopolitan pizza. Red Rocks makes a very good (but not perfect) traditional Neopolitan pizza. Better than most but not as good as 2Amys in DC or BIanco in Phoenix. Their crust is a little too crispy and a bit thicker than most. But if in Old Town Alexandria - not a bad choice for a meal.
Tasty crust and some creative topping combinations. Not the best, but still worth a try! Downside: lousy service - slow, impersonable (may have been just our server though)
Fantastic! The Cippola pizza was a perfect balance of sweet, caramelized onions with ground sausage and anchovies. Rabbit entree was smaller than expected but so rich it didn't matter. Only slight disappointment was the olive appetizer, which came out so hot we couldn't eat it until we finished the entrees! But even they were good :)
