Crab cake envy. First time at Bonefish and I’ll be coming back. The crab cakes look small but are 100% tasty lump crab meat with no filler, I absolutely loved it. The surf and turf burger was very spicy and hit the right notes. The key lime pie was more lemon custard tart than anything else yet very pleasing. Careless lunch service for a Friday but good value.
Great Starters make Dinner!. 1st time . Wanted to try tastings. Happy hour Specials $5 Bang bang Tacos, ceviche & lollipop sushi!
ALL were perfect as was the service! AND there was room for the Orgasmic Chocolate Creme Brûlée !!!
The BILL was even more perfect...under $30 included 2 beers!!!
Seafood lover's place!. Of all the area's chain seafood joints, this one is at the top of my list... especially this location. Clean, relatively quiet considering it size and openness, service has always been exceptional when I've gone, and their food... so far, of the dozens of times we've visited is consistently very, very good. I have both simple and discriminating taste and I have found their fish & chips to be the best anywhere in NoVA! A little more upscale is their tuna - WOW! And my wife and I totally enjoy the Ahi Tuna Sashimi, it's terrific. Whether you want to lounge at the bar, or dine in the restaurant, we highly recommend it!
Consistently good. Have eaten at the Kingstowne location several times, and although it can get crowded, if you have reservations it's not a problem and there is always plenty of parking. Love the crab cakes and bang bang shrimp, other fish dishes have always been good. Highly recommend this location if you have the urge for good seafood.
Awesome, perfect portions! Ask for Jonathan if you want an awesome server (that's if he hasn't started his career yet)!
A model in value and consistency!. Bonefish Grill offers the most consistently excellent food at a terrfific price for the quality and service that is almost always first-rate. My wife and I have been dining here for years, starting in Florida and now in Alexandria, and it's far and away our favorite "chain" restaurant. The Ahi Tuna appetizer (full order) is the finest Ahi Tuna in the world. Okay, maybe I haven't tried all Ahi in the world, but I have never found better. BG has our highest possible recommendation. If you haven't gone, and you love seafood, what are you waiting for?
Great Time @ BFG in Alexandria. The Boss and I are big BFG fans of the restaurant in Weston, FL, so when I was in DC area for work for a couple of weeks and co-workers suggested a trip to BFG around the corner, I said sure.
Same Bang Bang Shrimp, Crab Cakes are a little different than FL as they are more Maryland style with less bread crumbs.
The staff at the bar is great (Thanks Jennifer).
Bustling bar business but in four weeks, I wound up going to this BFG three times (twice with co-workers flying on my wing and one solo flight) and was not disappointed.
You know what you are getting at BFG. Good food, good drinks and good service.
A perfect dinner for me and my gf. She had the salmon from the specials menu and I had the Fortino Pork chops. Both dishes were so delicious with a combination of suculent, tender meat and a fabulous sauce to compliment the meat. The fortino pork chop was also topped with sauteed mushrooms. We had a creme brûlée for dessert and boy was it delightful. Our bill totalled $63 and that included one mixed drink and two glasses of wine. The wait was long but it was worth it.
Surprisingly good. Last night was the first time my wife and me had ever eaten at a Bonefish Grill (we usually avoid chains.) I must admit we were surprised, in a good way. Atmosphere & lighting was good (we had a window booth - note: the middle tables looked a little close together.) I was surprised at how tasty the bang-bang shrimp were, and there must have been 24 shrimp in an $8 appetiizer! The fried oysters were very good also (12 for $8, also surprising - some were small and some were quite large.) The grouper with mango salsa was excellent, and the special mahi-mahi was very good. Wine wasn't priced too high, and the $5 martini and $5 house wine was another nice surprise. We told them we were not going to see a movie next door, so don't rush us, and they didn't. We'll go again and try the different sauces!
Everyone says "go for the bang bang shrimp",while this is true, we also ordered the calamari with the sweet and spicy sauce, which I thought was just as superb as the shrimp. I ordered the chef special which was some salmon dish and the wife ordered Lillies Chicken (some chicken dish); very well cooked and delicious. Best part of the meal, the bread and oil dish served as small appetizers.
Great service. Bang Bang Shrimp is a must try item.
A Real Catch. We came back to Bonefish because we really enjoy the food and the service is always above par. The waiter Tom was attentive and personable. I had ordered a drink and when asked how it was and I didnt like it - no questions - he brought a new drink at no extra cost. Even their music in the background is fresh and not over bearing.
