If the weather permits, I recommend sitting outside. We just wanted a snack and drink before going back to DC before the rainstorm arrived! The staff seated us right on the sidewalk, but I felt our picnic table gave us enough space between the pedestrians and the cars passing by. I ordered a bubbly rose and a Bavarian pretzel while my husband ordered a Weissewurst with red potato salad. He said it really hit the spot! The staff were friendly and allowed us to relax and just enjoy our time. I would definitely return to Village Brauhaus again. There are several eateries nearby, but this place was relaxed and a perfect afternoon snack! Nothing fancy here, but that's the charm too, We just wanted to rest our legs and not feel pressured.

I really enjoy this place. Having moved to the area from some time in Germany, I missed the delicious German draft beer. Bottles are OK, but they just don't hit the spot like a draft. This place has multiple German beers on tap, including one of my favorites. They also sell growlers or will fill your own. While I have only eaten a couple things here, it is quite tasty as well. I'd call it a more German themed menu - it generally is much more flavorful than "real" bland German food, in my opinion. Definitely give this place a try! I live in Baltimore now, but still make the hour or so drive monthly to get me German beer fix.

The most authentic and delicious experience you will have in Old Town. I will keep coming back here as many times as possible it is absolutely amazing. I've had schnitzel before but this is very good schnitzel. #spatzle

This restaurant got the stamp of approval from my German husband. We shared the potato pancakes as an appetizer and both got the wiener schnitzel. There was only one waitress working the entire room (how very German!) and she did a fantastic job. I was shocked to see Bananaweizen on the menu as this is truly something I’ve never seen offered in the US before. I was also able to get a non alcoholic Radler (they also had a non alcoholic Hefeweizen). The restaurant offers beer yoga classes which piqued my interest….may have to go back to check that out one day!

A co-worker suggested this place and I re-visited a few days later during a business trip. I usually only order Wiener Schnitzel at a German restaurant, so I did here as well. Served only with garlic parmesean french fries as a side. The Schnitzel was decent size and is genuine veal (not pork). I found the breading pretty "mealy" and not to my taste, but refreshing to have a hot schnitzel. Bar area and dining room were decent size and average service. Staff wear somewhat traditional clothes for Bavaria. German beer on tap with plenty of sizes and I think I noticed Bier in a glass boot as well. I'm used to choices of sides (especially on business travel with attempts at somewhat healthy portions) and would have preferred to have to option to include a salad, vegetables, cucumber salad, etc. instead of only french fries (although tasty!). I feel like the price was on the expensive side, although it is veal which is not so common. There is a create your own platter for Wurst. I think this is a great idea and will consider this next time I visit. Still a bit pricey, but willing to try it out. Prost!

Awesome. I've been to the actual Hofbrauhaus in Munich and while it's not the one in Germany, it definitely reminded me of it. Ken was awesome as was the rest of the staff. The atmosphere is great and it's off of King Street. I would love to go here when they have live music. The food was amazing. Great place overall!

Came to Village Brauhaus on a whim for lunch. Tried beer from their Oktoberfest menu- great selection. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Jagerschnitzel which was HUGE and absolutely worth it. The fries are wonderful as well! *Side note all the leftovers were great just popped them in the air fryer * We want to come back for some of the entertainment that was being advertised like “open mic night” and “live music”.

Holy excellent and authentic German food. The wursts are amazing, beer pretzel with its cheese and mustard options are super delicious, and I highly recommend the seasonal flight of beers. The staff were very courteous and attentive. Upstairs seating is more casual than downstairs and has live music some days-definitely worth checking out. Had a great experience here and can't wait to go back.
