This is the best Mexican restaurant you’ll find in Louisiana. They offer several dishes you won’t find at most other Mexican restaurants around here. I highly recommend the “street corn” and mole. The mole recipe comes from the hometown of one of the chefs and is authentic as you’ll ever get. Thank you guys for a great experience!

Tamales was hot and fresh, guacamole very tasty, food was awesome, delicious and seasoned perfect. Our family will continue to bring our business to Mi Tierra in Alexandria and Forest Hill. Good luck Irma!!!! All the little hiccups will work its self out as everyone gets the hang of things.

Loved the food! Everything was so fresh! Hands down the best chips, salsa, pico and guacamole I've ever had. We had the most delicious fajitas and street tacos. Beautiful place and very clean too.

Awesome atmosphere and the food was delicious. Lunch for two people with chips and salsa and water was $25, not bad in my opinion. I will definitely be back.

10/3/21 Came in around 11:40: there wasn't a crowd. The chips and salsa was very good! Great queso dip served here, too. This has been the only restaurant that I have seen empandas on the menu...ever! I don't see myself returning soon, but it is a good spot to enjoy some Mexican food. The waitress was very cordial.

Loved this place! Got the flatbread and the starburst margarita. Both were very good and the service was awesome! Will definitely be visiting again and will recommend it to anyone!!

I love this restaurant. The decor is so pretty. It was our first time there. We were expecting high prices by the look of the inside. But the prices were on point. And the food was so authentic. It was amazing. You couldn't ask for better service either. I highly recommend. An see us going back. If you have never had authentic Mexicano food, then you need to go.

Food was good, could be a little more on the plate. Margaritas are so good!!! Queso is some of the best I have had. The staff is the most polite in alexandria. Will become a new favorite and will go back.

7 months later edit: The wait isn't a problem at all here anymore. And it's my favorite Mexican food place in Alexandria. The queso is amazing --------------- The food is excellent, but the service is a work in progress. The wait, even at 2:30pm, is pretty significant...about 30 minutes. And several fairly straightforward parts of our order we're incorrect...and the food took a long time to come out. But, when the food did come, it was so good. I had enchiladas topped with queso, and I wolfed it down. Definitely the best tasting Mexican food in Alexandria, even with only one try. Hopefully they work the kinks out with the service. Use Texas Roadhouse next door as a template, because it's one of the very few restaurants in Alexandria that has it down well.

OMG! This place is completely awesome! I simply want in to retrieve an order that was placed prior. I've always been wanting to go even the day that it opened on Saturday but I've never had time. When I entered the restaurant I was not expecting what I saw and I was so impressed and overwhelmed that I caught myself pulling out my camera and taking pictures. As I was doing this the manager approach me and actually offered me a tour of the restaurant and allowed me to meet the owner. This really impress me further as this is a practice that is not normally done in little towns like this. I've lived in California South Beach Florida and New York and have traveled extensively yet only in New York and South Beach and it fine restaurants in Los Angeles was I ever introduced to the owner simply from walking in! Now for the best review... The food supersedes the restaurant! The food was awesome the salsa was perfect the chips tasted like they came out of the oven! I love this restaurant I love the people there I love the atmosphere... There is something for everyone! I'm not one to write reviews but this place Mi Tierra...! I suggest you go and believe me if you have to wait a few extra minutes for the food then wait! Because it is so worth it! This isn't fast food this isn't a buffet this isn't a drive-thru! LOL! It is a restaurant a restaurant that can get every dime I have!
