A good choice for Indian food. Clean place and we'll maintained over the years. Buffet is excellent though at times the consistency is missing but never had any major issues. There are other choices close by but this one falls in a different league of higher end Indian choices and they charge accordingly as well - so expect to pay more than usual. Buffet service is good as well. Dinner is ala carte and has good service. Decor is good and brings memories back from old South Indian movies. This is a South Indian chain - expect spicy choices.

Best south Indian restaurant in the city. Authentic south Indian cousine.Everything was super tasty. All Vegetarian and non-vegetarian both variety dishes are plenty in the buffet and the taste is awesome. It is very rare to find everything in buffet with good taste and quality but in the whole city that's been achieved by only Godavari. Buffet is not too pricey too. Great value for the money. Traditional south Indian desserts along with modern are my favourite Some of the items are too much spicy especially the hyderabadi biriyaani and some items are oily if you reduce them a bit it will be awesome. And please add little more seafood varieties.

Very unique food here. Madras Chettinad used to be my favorite place, but this buffet offers some different tastes and very good dishes. It's basically a tie in my book. Nice, varied, high quality food. Lots of Indians dine here, which is a good sign! Will be back!

I celebrated my son's first birthday at Godavari restaurant on Oct 20th On Sunday Evening . It was a fabulous Experience. i was first skeptical about the place and whether they could serve such large number of guests . But Guys they nailed it . Mr Prat thoroughly customized the menu and provided the best suggestion for the items that should go into the menu. He was very accommodating. On the day of the Event , I am so nervous , but the chef's team was so well prepared. They served on time & guests were so happy with the service. I was glad that my guests liked the food and Godavrari team refilled the items very quickly and always promptly responded . Mr Raghu made us felt very comfortable. He interacted with us from time to time to check on us if Everything was good well and do we need anything . Over all Nice food , Nice customer service. Great experience Regards,

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in town! We've tried most of the restaurants in the Alpharetta area and Godavari is the one to go back to. I love their buffet because you can try a little bit of everything and its delicious! Its perfect for someone who is trying Indian food for the first time. We were also pleasantly surprised with their dinner service - a menu full of intriguing entrees, the food we ordered was excellent food and my girlfriend says its pretty much spot on for authenticity. The service has always been very attentive. As for value, entrees apart from buffet are about $10 for Veg and around $12ish for the NonVeg but in my opinion WELL WORTH it for the crazy foodie fans, we've left full and very satisfied. I've been craving their lunch buffet for awhile now so we plan on stopping in over the weekend!............. highly addictive.. TIP:Take Out containers are bigger....LoL, you get more food for your tum tum ;)

Wow!! The Most Amazing Indian Food in Alpharetta!! When we first entered, the foyer was small but opening the door into the restaurant made me realize how much room was in the restaurant. It is a nice atmosphere. They do have a buffet and according to the other reviews, you got to get there early for lunch. I came for the evening and there was no buffet available. When entering the restaurant, we we're greeted and given the option of a booth or a table. While we sat, our server gave us water and promptly came back with lentil chips with a tamarind sauce and a mint sauce. The atmosphere is very fancy and the walls have many black and white pictures of famous Indian actors, actresses and singers. There is also a large screen TV for patrons to watch. We were watching a Bollywood movie which seemed interesting. We got a great serving of rice and chicken masala. It was amazing and used the freshest ingredients. I also got plain naan bread and that was so tender. I used it to sop up the sauce from my regular dish. The servers checked on us to make sure we were satisfied with the food and service. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant since it not only was decently priced, but it has great staff, great amosphere and amazing food. Our family will be coming here more often. Thank you for the fantastic experience.
