We love Salt and Straw. This one is in Downtown Disney and you have to pay to park. It can get crowded, but the line moves pretty fast. They have a huge selection of ice cream, cones and other things made from ice cream. You can also buy their toppings, like sprinkles, to take home with you for later use.
All of their ice cream is great, so order what you want.
The place is kept super clean and it is a happy environment. They have flavors you will not find elsewhere.
The prices are just a tad high, but the ice cream is worth it.
The service is really nice and you will be happy.
Now serving Limited time Fall flavors! I tried a few of them but my favorite was the Pumpkin Tiramisu, if you like pumpkin then you have to try it. Be forewarned, VERY strong pumpkin flavor. This place has some very unique flavors, some of my favorites are the coffee nut (which I had today) and the boysenberry coconut flavor. I feel like all flavors have a very strong taste which is great. If they sy it has a specific flavor you will get a good punch of it with every taste. The cones a good and crispy. They're usually busy but today was pretty empty. The employees at the counter are super nice and will assist you with taste testing any of the flavors they have. Highly recommend for anyone that loves ice cream with unique and strong flavors.
I had to stop in and try such crazy flavors - Pear & Blue Cheese, Honey Lavender, and Creepy Critter. Ok I didn’t try Creepy Critter because it actually had insects in it -but I did sample quit a few and they were all delicious. The employee was friendly, helpful, and didn’t get annoyed that I asked for multiple samples. I settled on the Great Candycopia and it was super creamy and full of homemade candy bar chunks. Well worth the $8 and the 500 calories.
Came here with my fiance for dessert. I got the pear and blue cheese ice cream. It's actually really good! Right on par with the artichoke and cream cheese ice cream from Ted and Wally's for the best weird ice creams I've tasted.

These flavors were so unique. Love the concept. Definitely a dupe for Jenis Ice Cream when it comes to cool inventive flavors. They do let you sample which is so nice. They have vegan options and dairy free options which is superb and unique sorbet choices.
Overall we loved the olive oil ice cream and the peach and blue cheese. The flavors together worked well.
As for the price -- while this location is in downtown Disney, $10+ for TWO scoops... is way unaffordable. We are not normally one to complain but we felt as if this was ridiculous. I don't really care if the ice cream is made in store and gourmet. That's just not reasonable.
Anywho - we will most likely not return due to the price, as we can get the same type of creamy ice cream elsewhere.
The line was long and the staff were not super friendly, probably from being inundated from the long lines constantly but still, it is again, on Disney property.
Try it once, maybe not twice. Depends on how much you go crazy for it.
Amazing ice cream and fun, unique flavors. This place always seems to be PACKED! The service is great and the line moves pretty fast! The waffle cones are fresh and delicious. You can’t walk by without being mesmerized by the smell! This is a must if you are in the area!
We visited Salt & Straw after spending the day at Disney. Coming from one of the ice cream capitals of the world, we were not disappointed. The staff is friendly and waiting to help. They'll give you free samples of anything from their unique menu. They are also very knowledgable with the flavors. We settled on the chocolate brownie and sea salt and caramel. I absolutely loved the sea salt and caramel. It was the perfect blend of salt and caramel. The chocolate brownie was good as well. My wife thought the flavors were almost overpowering but I disagree. I think they nailed it. Pricing is average for an ice cream shop. We'll be back the next time we visit Disney.
There is usually a bit of a wait here but it is really worth it. The ice cream is really good. Not only is it amazing ice cream, but the flavors are very exotic and unique. I haven’t seen half the flavors here anywhere else and they really work. The customer service is great, again you may have to wait a little bit but it’s totally worth it.
