When Javy says, “Taste The Meat, Not The Sauce,” he means it! While the sauces are incredible, the meat, by itself, is EXCELLENT!

Tried the tri tip and ribs with the mashed potatoes..meat was nice and tender and ribs were fall off the bone and full of flavor. Will go back soon.

Prices and portions are proportionate. The meat is smoked very well, and I'm digging the bbq sauce. The sides were great, especially the beans and greens. I caught a meal at the farmers market at Twila Reid Park earlier in the year. I'm not sure if they're still there weekly, but I definitely need to visit again. So should you.

As a relocated Texan, this place is a an answered prayer. One of the best beef ribs (think Flintstone's sized) I've ever had. Smoked beans, homemade coleslaw and cornbread only add to the amazing BBQ. Top it off with a down to earth and humble pitmaster and I feel like I'm back home. THANK YOU JAV!

*Update* after coming here for the second time. Once again the Brisket was much more dryer than the first time I had it smoke flavor was definitely there. Ribs is still my favorite thing to order here. Perfect smoke flavor. Cooked to perfection fall off the bone. The spicy BBQ sauce is 🔥 too!

We visited on my Birthday with my Grandchildren that never had Brisket before, youngest is 3 and said it was delicious! I have to say all of the food was top notch and reminded me of Texas home cooked Brisket by our family. Perfection in my opinion.

They are definitely open even though the building doesn't appear to be, Grand Opening is February 10th, 2018.

The wife and I love this place. Friendly staff. The pit-master knows what he's doing. The the nacho fries (sub brisket) are great. haven't had a bad plate here yet. But out everything I recommend the beef rib. It had the perfect smoke ring when I cut into it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s all the way. Doesn't hurt that they shares wall with a wine bar and brewery.
Nice and friendly staff. Ordered Pulled Pork fries and Mac & cheese. Took like 30 minutes, but everything was fresh, well cooked, very tasty & delicious.
Wow, that was really good with generous portions. The brisket was probably the best I have had so far. The coleslaw has a really good and unique taste. The sausage was spicy and very tasty. The tritip is done just right. I will definitely be going back to try other meats.
My husband found this place on YELP since we where looking for a place to eat near Disney before we headed back to SD, I ordered the pulled pork fries and they were DELICIOUS!! My husband ordered the Meal with the Ribs and the meat was just perfectly made, not to mention the atmosphere is great!! Def will be stoping by during my next visit near Anaheim.

These people are surely doing Gods work. Tucked away next to Anaheims Packing District at Make. In between a wine bar and brewery, Jav's Bbq serves some of the best meat I have EVER had in my mouth. I got to enjoy the brisket and tri tip on their 2 meat plate with sides of mac and cheese(a must have) and mashed potatoes. The brisket was like meat butter melting on my plate and mouth and the tri tip had a delicious smoke ring flavoring the meat to the core. Thank you, please keep doing what you do.
I'm in heaven. I come here just about every week and can't get enough of their food, I've tried everything! I appreciate a place that puts so much love I to their craft. Please support this business because I guarantee you'll be back. Come early on a Saturday and try the ribs!

Food is very delicious. Wow green beans are the 💣💥. It takes a little while to get your food but once you take the first bite , oh man it was worth the wait.👍👍👍👍
Definitely best BBQ in town hands down! Me and my coworkers keep coming back to this place on many occasions and we always leave here extremely satisfied.
All the meats i tried are so full of flavor, tender, juicy and perfectly smoked. I mostly get their briskets and their baby back ribs. Briskets are just crazy good and the baby back ribs just melt right in your mouth! Their spare ribs and pulled pork are excellent as well. And their spicy BBQ sauce is just perfect!
My favorite side dish is their honey-glazed brussell sprouts. I don't know how he does it but side dish doesn't get any better than this! OMG
Javier and the lady staff are very courteous and professional. They make us feel welcomed and the restaurant has great ambiance too. Plenty of space in between tables.
I love it so much I plan to bring my family here one of these days. A must try!
We ordered lunch for our hard working staff and we had a set budget so they suggested options to keep us within budget but definitely did not skim on portions or flavor! The entire staff was commenting about the delicious flavors and were all so grateful we found Jav's right down the street! This will be on our regular catering list! The jalapeno cornbread was out of this world, the pulled pork was juicy and full of flavor, sausage, baked beans (NOT from a can!) and ribs were big hits with our guys! Delivery was on time and the owner was very friendly. Would highly recommend!
Ordered our Thanksgiving Dinner from Jav's this year which is something I would never have considered in past years. I am already planning on ordering again next year! The turkey was the best I have ever had! Sides were equally delicious! Thank you Jav's for doing all the work. I know there were some challenges with the power going out however, you and your team did an amazing job! Thank you again, much appreciation to you all!

This was a memorable experience. This hidden gem in the beautiful city of Anaheim, was a great find! My daughter had the brisket nachos and I had brisket and chicken platter. The food was delicious, the portions were sufficient to take home for dinner, later. The mac and cheese was flavorful and cheesy- reminiscent of southern styled mac and cheese. The meats were seasoned well as the small cup of sweet and tangy bbq sauce was barely necessary to accompany the brisket and chicken. Yet, another location we will revisit when we are in town again!
One of the best meals I've ever had in my life. I ordered a half-rack of ribs which were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Both sides were surprisingly amazing too, the green beans which were sautéed with onions and had a kick to it, as well as the steak fries which were awesome.
Service was very friendly and excellent as well. I will come back here again for sure!
