The Natural Pantry has, by far, the best selection of organic, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan foods in the city. They are conveniently located in midtown and boast everything from prepared salads and a bakery to vegan makeup and aroma therapy oils. Their fruit and vegetable selection is varied and they carry several Kosher products as well. Even though the store is the same size as a chain grocery, the staff make it feel like a small local market. The are running a clothing drive (for new sweatshirts, boots, gloves, socks, etc.). So if you are headed that way during July 2020 bring what you can along.

Natural Pantry has a great selection of health foods, particularly certain specialty items not available in the health food aisles of some other grocery stores. They have a well stocked bulk goods selection as well as a large variety of freeze dried items (fruits and veggies mostly.) They also have other non food items as well. I love the little chocolates they have by the cash register.
