Stopped for take-out breakfast this Halloween morning. I was greeted and served by two very nice, friendly, and helpful women. I had the Philly Omelet and my wife had the basic eggs and bacon. My wife liked her meal, although it was a pretty basic order. The Philly Omelet looked just OK (might have been because it was in a take-out container), but when I are it I found it very tasty. The bill was easy to handle as well. Bottom line, good price, great food, excellent service!
I have to say, I've eaten in 5 star restaurants and had worse food than this place. The staff was attentive and the facility was reasonably clean, aside from the pricey gift shop portion which needed a good wipe down because of all the dust coming in from the entry. Everything was prepared wonderfully, including our steak and shrimp. If you get the chance to try their tempura shrimp, do so! Everyone at our table awed at how crispy yet moist the gigantic shrimp were.
Hot Spot has delicious food, great service, friendly atmosphere, and an extensive menu. For a appetizer try there stuffed spuds with sour cream. They are delicious, sort of like a oblong tater tot stuffed with medium spice jalapenos and cheese. Not to hot for the sensitive, and not to bland for the heat seekers. Give this place a chance, you won't be sorry. Try there moist delicious pork chop dinner , or the all you can eat cod dinner on Friday. Yum, yum, you can't go wrong!!!!
Will be back! Stopped here on our way home from the campground. The employees were great and hospitable. The food was great, pancakes are delicious! Menu had a great selection and the kids loved the food! Great family restaurant.

The pancakes at The Hot Spot are the best I have ever had. They are fluffy with the perfect amount of crisp on the outside, almost like they are cooked in a cast iron skillet. They are also gigantic.
Aside from the pancakes, I've never had a bad meal here. I've only gone for breakfast but it's all been tasty. The staff is also attentive and kind.
The food is very good. They have a vary good cook. Nice clean place,and they follow CDC rules wicth I like.
First time for my husband and I being there, great service, the food was awesome, the chilli was just perfect, not to thick and not spicy enjoyed our food will be coming there again.
