We ordered the Porky Pony, Sea Foam, Ms. Sandy and Cow Tail. I've never had a donut made fresh and eaten it hot out of the fryer. Incredible. We both agreed, too, that it almost didn't matter what was on the donut because the base dough was so light yet with a good "bite" and a hint of a little crunch at the edges. That said, the flavors were fantastic. Super fast and friendly service, too!
The batter itself is some of the best I have ever had! And I love that the fun flavors don't overwhelm that but are just an awesome fun addition. Maple Bacon, Yabba Dabba Do-nut and the classic sprinkles were my top pick but honestly, they're all worth waking up at 730am to get!
Went to the Bethany Beach location for lunch. Had spring rolls from Wang's World truck and an acai bowl from the Sandy Pony truck. Everything was phenomenal. Wonderful job Ben and Brea ! !
Seriously the best doughnut we have had! I got the classic Ms. Sandy and Cow Tail, my husband got the Strawberry Stallion and Aw Shucks and my Dad got the Seafoam and Banana Coconut. I would take a picture but they are gone! Chincoteague's customer service is wonderful, they even brought out a freebie doughnut for our Pomeranian, Ginger with peanut butter and bacon. She loved it! We will be back soon!
Porky Pony is to die for. Definitely recommend to Atleast try it. Even my mom that doesn't like donuts fell in love with it.
The first donut I'd ever eaten from Sandy Pony was...BY FAR...the best donut I'd ever tasted...EVER!!! Each donut after has been even better. I'm sitting here typing this and my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Well worth every minute of the 4 hour drive to get em! You can't just eat three!
Yesterday was my first time to visit Sandy Donuts. The gentleman behind the counter were great. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area.
Always a treat to stop, while on vacation, and grab a delicious breakfast! Yum!
We had 12 dozen donuts for our wedding and they were a hit! As soon as the donuts were brought out, everyone rushed the display lol. We even had a few on our honeymoon and they were still delish 3 days later. We will be back for more of these delicious donuts.

Tried the newest location in Bethany Beach today. Oh my goodness, so good! The Charlie Brown and Banana coconut are A-mazing! The staff was friendly as well. Definitely going to have to try more flavors.

The fruity pebbles on the Yabba were still crunchy!! It was like magic!
I got a half dozen with the: ms.sandy, blue moon, strawberry stallion, dirty, sea foam, and yabba
I also got an açaí bowl (on the Uber eats app the toppings weren’t really worth it at 50 cents a piece - I like it when stores allow you two or three included in the price) but! the açaí was so good! It’s got a subtle sweetness to it! I ended up adding my own honey, coconut flakes, and granola to it at home and it was amazing!
My Acai Bowl was delicious & Was very full (in container!) Great quality and so yummy. The donut was smaller than expected but so tasty!!! Will be coming back again !!
BEST GLUTEN FREE DONUTS ever!!!! Like your not missing out on anything, they are delish!!!! My family raves about their regular donut also. So the wait on weekends can be ridiculous though. My advice is place your order online if possible.
My husband and I were introduced to Sandy Pony Donuts at the preview screening of "Dune" at Columbia AMC a couple of weeks ago. The "Dune-nut" was very tasty and we made a note of the business name. Fast forward to 10/31, we stopped by Sandy Pony Donuts in Annapolis to pick up some post-race treats (Hubby ran the Bay Bridge Run). I stayed with the classics: Glazed and Big Pearl. Hubby got the Blueberry Pie, Sand Dune and Misty Mint. The donuts were made-to-order, warm, tender, slightly chewy...mmmmm! Very friendly staff, quick transaction - we would absolutely purchase from this business again! P.S. the donuts were consumed in the car on the drive home. :-)
I've had donuts all over the country, and these are the best. Fresh fried, melt in your mouth chunks of heaven. Never too sweet, perfect size. We love going to Chincoteague for them, it's become a tradition. There will probably be a line, as there should be with all the best things. They're worth it!
Hot, quick, perfect! I just wish you could make your own flavors. You have to order from the menu that has premade flavors/toppings. Very good though, fresh, and can't beat it!
