The place is not that high rated as expectations are when googled it. It is located in the beautiful area by the lake so I’m surprised that the cuisine and the design are not the high end. Basically design wouldn’t be needed better due to natural beauty around but menu definitely require attention. Not much stuff to order, just regular fast food. I can’t say that food was over fried or not fresh, I guess it tasted best for what it could. The bar is pretty big so I would recommend this place for drinks rather than having some lunch there.
Great bar/grill right above the water. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great views of the lake and canyon walls. Waitresses were friendly and knowledgeable. We got there at opening time (11am) and had the Reuben sandwich. Took maybe 15 minutes or less for our food. Good selection of local AZ craft beer. They even have growlers to go.

Great place with a full bar and great views. There is a campground nearby and a large boat where you can take a lake tour.
Food and service were decent and prices were not that bad.
Will definitely go back.
We always have a wonderful time at Canyon lake and love taking the boat to Well Done. Always great food and atmosphere plus they have a dock you can tie your boat to then go right back out to the lake after lunch. 10/10
Stopped in before and after boat tour of Canyon Lake. Our server was awesome, going above and beyond with information about the area and its amenities! Food was great, good selection of local beers. Prices were very reasonable. The view from the bar is incredible! Will visit again whenever we are in the area, great place!
Wonderful wait staff and bartender. The ladies had a warm and funny sense of humor. We enjoyed our evening there watching the sunset over the water on the deck.

We rolled in here on a Saturday afternoon here after visiting Tortilla Flats. We waited for about 5-10 minutes for a table. The food was decent and service was great for what it was. The outside seating had a pretty nice view of the also.

This is a really good restaurant. I had fish and chips and my wife had a patty melt and both were excellent.
Given how out of the way this facility is, my expectations were not that high but I was most pleasantly surprised.
Definitely recommended.
We had the lunch special, brisket fries, these were without a doubt the best fries I have ever had. The dining area was clean, our waitress was friendly and on top of everything. The view of Canyon Lake is awesome. We will definitely be back.
It was really great food, awesome atmosphere, and friendly staff. The view of the lake from the bar is perfect. The only down side is the menu falsely advertises a "house special beef patty." When i asked it cane to my attention it wasnt a special beef patty. There was nothing different from that meat to the regular meat used. Other than false advertising it was a great place.
This place has improved leaps and bounds since the new owners took over. It is one of the cleanest places I have eaten. You couldnt find dust even if you tried. The food is always good. The wait staff is friendly and professional. If you are up at Canyon Lake then I recommend you stop and grab a bite to eat and enjoy the scenery.
We had a great time at the well done grill!! We started off with drinks. Wife had the last cactus standing drink and I had the mudshark vanilla carmel beer. Wife had the special of the day.. the cuban sandwich while I had the chicken sandwich. Finished off the afternoon on the steamboat on the lake.. looking forward to next time!!!

We had a great time with our family on the same day as the jail inmate post. We also had two children and two elderly parents that would have been impacted by the cold weather. However it went very differently as we didn’t expect restaurant staff to deal with the situation for us. We expected them to provide good service during our meal and good food. Both of which they did exceedingly well. We waited in our cars during the wait as the restaurant is quite busy during this time of year. We have been a number of times and will continue to return. The drive from Tucson is worth it every time.
