We had a wonderful dinner last night. We were greeted warmly and the service was very attentive. The atmosphere was lovely and upscale without being stuffy.
There were at least 5 or 6 TVs to keep up with your favorite game or news around the nicely appointed bar area. Our food was very good. We had the house made chips and onion dip, Caprese Elena, Wood fired pizza, and Chicken Piccata. Chef Ed came out to make sure we liked our food and we of course loved it. Jodi also checked in to make sure we were happy as well. You can tell they really care about their customers. Back to the food...the chicken was so juicy and the pizza had a wonderful smoky flavor from the wood fired pizza oven.My daughter said we have to come back again just so she can have that pizza again. It was worth the drive and we will definitely be coming back.
This was some of the best food we have had, and we are complete foodies. My 21 y/o son is a self-professed pizza snob, and stated that this is THE best pizza he has ever had...and he has had pizza just about everywhere in the Central Florida area.

I was sad to see Taverna go because of the awesome pizza, but Tavern was impressive. Food is better than ever, attentive staff, and great prices. Happy to have this place in the neighborhood! Would recommend you check this place out, good people, good food!
Taverna Italiano is one of the best Italian restaurants in Central Florida. Chef Ed Hollingsworth prepares classic southern Italian dishes with the authenticity of a Sicilian grandmother and created his own versions of classics that will leave your mouth watering. I highly recommend Taverna Italiano to anyone who enjoys amazing food and world class hospitality. Ask for Z as your waiter. He's hilarious and Makes you feel right at home.
Our first time to Taverna... loved it! My husband had the NY Steak, child had the brick oven pizza, and I had a special pasta dish with pesto and salmon. We all shared the lemon-something-or-other dessert as well as a chocolate lava cake. Everything (and I do mean everything) was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, proportioned perfectly, presented perfectly... de-lish!
Our server, Audrey, was fast, professional, attentive, and made our evening. We'll definitely become regulars. Thank you, Taverna!
Well done all around! Our first visit since new ownership. Great food, personable service, excellent drinks, and the place was packed. Oh, and a very reasonable bill: $40 with 4 drinks and dinner during Happy Hour. Highly recommend.
Some of the best pizza I've ever had and the wait staff were very accommodating; Should be an awesome place to catch the football playoffs coming up!

I will have to say. When visiting Florida with my mother we stopped into the Tavern and the place had great appeal, great food, great people. I look forward to stopping by on my next trip to Florida. Would not miss it!! Looking forward to next time sitting out on your amazing patio overlooking the green belt, sipping on my special wine, enjoying the view, and having some of the Taverns appetizers.

Fantastic meal with friends again last night, my only complaint was that nobody was shown a dessert menu. Quite frankly I'm uncertain if they sell dessert but it would be a great end to a meal if they did. Great food, love the chicken parm.

Dude, this place is fun and GOOD! I was surprised to find Rock and Roll bingo this last Sunday, which happens to be a regular event. I had a great time. Alone I couldn't order the pizza, so I got pizza pinwheel appetizer. Boy was it a delicious representation of their wood fire pizza. The wings and drinks were also top notch. I see myself becoming a regular. Must try!
The food and atmosphere was awesome. I'm happy to have such a good place to eat so close to home!
