I was super excited to try this place out! Not many places really capture the savory aspects of five spice seasonings, and this was right up my alley flavor-wise. I come from a Filipino family in the Chicago area, and the Cities are definitely lacking when it comes to that flavor palate. Before I walked in, I didn't see any pricing online. I included pics of the menu that was available on a Sunday afternoon during lunch. I was really impressed that they have a gluten-free sub for just about everything. Even the soy sauce selection has swaps. They said they make a lot of their own sauces so that everything is gluten free. The place was clean and had nice MN touches throughout. My husband ordered the sesame bowl and I got the 5 spice pork burrito. I LOVED my burrito. It's the perfect combo of flavors. It's got a touch of spiciness that might be too much for the MN crowd, but feels just right to someone who prefers a little kick. I will say that I thought it was a little on the pricey side for the size. I mean, over $9.00 for something about the width of my wrist compared to Chipotle burritos which are about $0.50 cheaper. There was avocado in this burrito, so I guess it kind of evens out. I liked that the spicy mayo was on the inside but also came with a little extra on the side. Great call for the range of spice that MN can tolerate. My husband got the Sesame chicken bowl. We both thought it was good. It tasted fresh. Because the teriyaki sauce is Glutten free, it's housemade. Personally, I think it's a little too sweet, but tolerably so. My husband thought it tasted fine. We didn't think there was enough sauce for the amount of rice in the bowl. Maybe ask for extra sauce if you get a rice bowl.
I did not order raw fish from this restaurant. I have a strict rule that I only eat raw fish from sushi or poke bowl places (where raw fish predominates the menu). There were cooked rolls here that I'd be interested in trying. There was another couple that got sushi and they seemed happy with their order.
been driving by this place for a while. my son and I stopped in for lunch. a very unique menu. by unique I mean interesting and exciting. not your every day stuff! the place was clean, bright and comfortable, the guys working were kind. both of our meals were EXCELLENT! made to order, fresh and incredibly flavorful. the portions were good and the prices were a good value. sorry it took so long to stop in, I missed out lol.
definitely will return! super flavorful!
Food was very pretty. Man behind counter was great. Food was really expensive and beef and broccoli wasn’t great
I will always choose this place over other fast food. They're quick and delicious. Reasonably priced. High quality product. Rolls are usually giant. Poke bowls are delicious. Not much like it in my area.
Very Good! have drove past this place for a while and decided to try it out.
We ordered the Chicken Teriyaki bowl and Sesame Chicken bowl. Both were really good. The vegetables were cooked right, not mush but not raw either. Will be keeping this place in my rotation.
We enjoy hanging out. Yesterday we found this magnificent restaurant which we didn’t know before. We enjoyed a delightful evening there with superb dishes and a well-trained stuff and a great chef. We added this place in our list and we will surely go again soon. Highly recommended.
I mean it most sincerely when I say this is, bar none, the single greatest quick bite place in Apple Valley. This place is so fantastic, there really is no other comparison in the area. Period.
I suppose it goes without saying that, if you like Japanese food, you’ll just adore this place - but, even if you’re a bit wary of sushi or sushi-like fare, I PROMISE you, you’ll find something you love here!
Outstanding service, superb atmosphere, exquisite food and a super interesting drink menu! This is a MUST VISIT if your stomach needs some filling!
