We decided to order from here on Thanksgiving, and we were treated to a truly delicious meal. Although the meat dishes (the Shawarma and the Kibbeh) were good, the dishes that really rocked were meat-less dishes…. The Falafel Arabe (aka Falafel Pizza) and the Stuffed Grape Leaves.
Falafel Pizza: The Falafel was delicately spiced and served as the bulk of the dish. The tomatoes gave it a nice sweetness, and the pickled cucumbers added a bit of briny sourness. The thin, crispy pita on the top and bottom rounded out our favorite menu item.
Stuffed Grape Leaves: Like the Falafel, this dish was not over-spiced. Rice and herbs were tightly wrapped in a perfectly cooked grape leaf. Great finger food.
The staff was friendly and courteous when we picked up our order, and they even helped bring it out to the car. We will definitely order from here again.
It's wonderful to have authentic Syrian food in Appleton! This place is great. All new businesses have small issues in the beginning. I would rather eat here than at a boring chain restaurant any day. The food is delicious.
A few friends and i came in and i had never had shawarma before. I ordered the italian shawarma(solid decision!) If you are a fan of anything spicy ask for the spicy sauce on the side. Its hot but with awesome flavor. Seriously, such a good place for the money. Cant wait to make this my regular
The food was delicious! It did take a while to get food, but I know it was the opening weekend. Staff was great and super apologetic. Thrilled to have a great shawarma/falafel place in Appleton! Happy for the new owners!
This place is on point. Service is exceptional, nice, polite, and quick. Finally an authentic shawarma joint for Appleton.
So much better than the other options in the Valley and convenient to get to. I loved the falafel, both as a side (round balls) and in the sandwich (patty). Tabbouleh was heavenly. Shawarma was so flavorful! Generous portions, affordable prices, friendly people.
Ate the Arabic Shawarma, small falafel and tabula salad. Soooo worth the drive from Madison. Welcome to Wisconsin and may Allah bless your new restaurant!
Stopped in today, it is awesome The menu doesn't have a description, but at the register they had a description of the items. I got the Arabic shawarma, so good and so filling. I also got some falafel it said it was 5 pieces and thats all I thought I would get, but I got a pita, sauce, and vegetables. They had problem with thing that heats the shawarma but was told it would take a little longer. It was worth the wait.
My partner and I wanted takeout for dinner tonight and decided on trying this spot. I had the Arabic shawarma (chicken) and a small order of falafel, partner had the falafel arabe. The shawarma was delicious and the garlic sauce on the side was AMAZING. We both loved the falafel as well. Partner said the hummus was the best they'd ever had. There was a small mix up leaving us short one meal, but I think I know what happened and it was just a misunderstanding with our order (we ordered 2 falafel items, I think they heard it as 1 item). No worries, those things happen - we went back for it and the food was well worth it. I'm already excited to go back again!
Amazing sandwiches! I highly recommend Turkish shawarma and Falafels. They both are out of this world!
Amazing shawerma and falafel sandwiches. I recommend it.
Simply amazing food. We tried the falafel, chicken shawarma and the fattoush salad - all were outstanding. This is exactly what the Appleton area needed!
Was my first time ever having Shawarma, and was not disappointed! Only waited about 5 minutes during lunchtime. I had the Arabic Shawarma with fries and pickle salad. Very good! Excited to explore the rest of the menu. Thank you for bringing a restaurant like this to the Fox Valley!
My friend and I came here for lunch today and it was incredible. Only a fool would give this place anything less than 5 stars.
Been born in the middle east, I have been trying to find the best falafel wherever I go in the USA. I was super excited when I found out that Superior Shawarma had opened right here in Appleton. After seeing the videos and photos posted on Facebook I was pretty sure that this place was an authentic joint.
The restaurant is obviously new, very clean and has plenty of outdoor parking. The menu is very clear with ingredients mentioned next to it. The price is great as well.
Now coming to the food..... I LOVED it! After eating falafels all over Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay to mention a few, I can confidently say that this joint here serves the tastiest falafel there is. Their tahini is awesome.
Sam - the cashier is lovely person and takes the order with a smile. The cooks are very pleasant and always greet you with a smile.
Highly recommend this place and you will not regret it. I come here every single time I miss authentic middle eastern food.
This place is amazing! I love their food, always fresh and tasty. Everyone is friendly in there, i feel like i am in my home. Plus, i am proud of them! They have a war in their country, but they didn’t give up, coming here and introducing middle eastern food with locals is an absolute success! Thank you guys for this glorious story!
This is by far my favorite restaurant. You can taste the fresh ingredients used, like lemon juice from actual lemons. The portions are large. In college my Egyptian friend regularly made me the best falafel in the world. I've searched high and low for a similar falafel - crunchy and dark on the outside and perfectly seasoned. I finally found it at Superior Shawarma! I'll be back again and again.
I'll be honest, I stumbled upon this place when I was looking for "The Windy City." They had such good Chicago style food... but I thought "Hey, what the heck, I like trying new things. I'll try middle eastern shawarma!" The first one I got was the Arabic chicken Shawarma for around 9 bucks and it was so much food I couldn't finish it! It came with fries (haha) and a pretty good dipping sauce. I've been back 3 times since then and I plan to get food there in the future. Fresh and tasty is my experience!
Taste great, it is definitely different than I am used to but that’s a good thing! Service is nice, and they are very discriptive of their menu! Definitely worth a try.
We had the Arabian Shawarma with steak. Spot on with seasoning and flavor. Good portion size.
Very tasty, generous servings, neat variety of choices. We’ll be back to try the made-to-order salads!
Never had a Shawarma before and really enjoyed it, will definitely be going back sooner than later!
