This is such a great shop! I wish I lived closer so I go more often. The owner is a gracious woman with a heart for our global village. Go have a great cup of coffee, shop for beautiful things, and have a positive impact on the artisans who make the products the shop sells.

Love this place. Looks messy on the outside from the construction, but inside is a thoughtful shopper's paradise. So many great choices for gifts that make a difference.

Trade Roots has an astounding variety of unique and excellently crafted items from all over the world. The customer service is fantastic. It's truly the most wonderful independent store in Arlington.

Trade Roots is a beautifully organized gift shop and sorely needed in Arlington. It's the perfect place to find birthday, hostess, and holiday gifts -- there is something for everyone. Give yourself some time to browse; there is so much to look at and discover! The people who staff the shop are great, too...friendly and helpful. Trade Roots has been a wonderful gift to the neighborhood!

I own several pairs of Trade Roots earrings (most under $15) and I get compliments on all of them! By far, my favorite jewelry store!

I love this neighborhood treasure! I come by often just for the lavender lemonade. And I love all the unique gifts. The food is always great too!

It's cute locally owned shop that needs to decide what it actually is. Reply to owner: After rethinking you're right -- sometimes one gets stuck into modes and models of defined meanings. It is nice to see that you don't have a need to fit into anyone's model. Bravo!

Very nice neighborhood gem. A little coffee shop, bar, tea house, eatery, and craft shop all in one nice little old building. Nice staff too. Also a nice place to just sit outside and watch traffic and people go by. Will be coming back again…

Specialty coffee and homely ambience. The clocks in seating area are delightful. Wish the cappuccinos were a bit larger.

So glad I found this store! Great selection. I got a range of items: socks, carved salad tongs, candles, chocolate and earrings. I received my items promptly and I was happy with everything (sometimes hard to tell online). I actually bought my items about a month ago. Knowing that I have helped artisans from other countries still makes me feel good. Will definitely shop here again!
