We arrived at 430 hoping for an early dinner. Dinner menu not available until 5. We both ordered off the lunch menu and we're not dissapointed. Food was abviously prepared with care and the customer in mind.
The wait staff was very efficient and attentive. We will return for the dinner menu selections.
always good food and great people . been eating at Ellie's for years. not to much later the weather will get better and you can eat outside and watch the planes.
The service is absolutely the best!! The food and the view are amazing!!! My favorite place!!
Friendly welcome, great food, good value, great view of the field - I loved it!
Great diner food, staff was great and very kid friendly.
Amazing Breakfast!! We love Ellie's in Smokey Point and this one was even better. Great food and atmosphere at this location at Arlington Airport. The kids loved it and watching the planes land and take off in the morning.
My family always has such a great experience! Such great service and awesome food. Our son really loves watching the planes!
We went there hoping to eat outside on the deck but due to the wasps it was closed. We asked for a to go order so that we could find a place to have a picnic. The waitress was very friendly and suggested we use their picnic area down in the grass that didn't have the wasp issue and we were more than pleased. It was right by the run way and you could see the planes up close. It was an amazing experience and service. The waitress went above our expectations making sure my granddaughters first picnic was exceptional.
This place was suggested to me as a great breakfast place, and it definitely didn't disappoint at all.
I came with a group of five and got a variety of things, yet mostly breakfast items. I had the Danger Zone, biscuits with chicken fried steak and country gravy, with country potatoes. Someone else ordered The Maverick and they were in heaven. Another person had the fish and chips, they said it was alright, they just weren't excited about it. The next person had the mini breakfast and said it was just perfect for them. The last person had an individual Belgian waffle and was divine for them.
The ambiance of the place was pretty nice and I can only imagine it's even better come summer tires and the clouds part. I'd highly recommend someone go here if asked because for the most part the experience will be good to wonderful.
5/5 For atmosphere 5/5 Food Quality 4/5 Price
First time trying a egg Benedict with Hollandaise sauce. Taste was pretty flavorful. Eggs were a little runny for my liking but surprisingly I got past the texture. Hash-brows we’re ordinary. Coffee was strong but good. Creamer selection was half&half soul sugar and no calorie sweetener are available at the table. This establishment is super busy Sundays, not sure about prior days and times. 2 cups of black coffee runs $5.38. 2 egg Benedict’s were roughly $17.00 + TAX brought us to a grand total of $36.44.
I ordered the Ellies Club with fries. This is easily a item you can split between 2 people or, if sharing in a group, 4 people.
Service was good, friendly staff. Clean tables and you can watch planes take off and land
The food is amazing the people are fun the atmosphere is unmistakably amazing. It is so fun to sit and watch airplanes and gliders take off and land while you eat. The coffee is very good too.
I am a big fan of breakfast ok I’m a big fan of eating lol. I moved to Arlington last year and couldn’t find any good breakfast place in the area until someone recommended Ellie’s and I went and it was so good. The location is great and the service is good. If you do come here try to get there early if not you’ll have to wait.
Update 06/11/22: went back for lunch and my goodness it was delicious and big portions. I got the fish and chips and my bf got the Ruben sandwich with a salad. Service is always amazing.
Read their reviews to see the plates that might entice you the most. You won't be let down! They get pretty busy every Monday during brunch/lunch visits i've had (regularly for past few months), but it's worth the wait. The staff and FOOD is awesome!
Such a cool spot for breakfast, lunch or brunch! Right on the airport grounds, watch planes land and take off.
You can tell a place is good when there's a constant wait. Thankfully our brunch timing was on the tail end of the Easter Sunday rush and only waited about 10 minutes. Larger parties after us weren't as lucky. They seem to only be able to accommodate one 6+ group at a time. The minus one star is for the wait time on server greeting and food. They were winding down from a busy surge, which I can understand, but saw a single diner get his food 15 minutes before us when he was seated a good 15 minutes after our party of 2. He seemed to be a regular, so that could've also had something to do with it. We will definitely be back, hoping long service times aren't the norm.
Menu options were exactly what we were looking for which made it difficult to decide which to indulge - breakfast or lunch. The 'Sides' menu allowed us to try the biscuits and gravy without committing to a full plate, which we found the gravy to be bland. However, we were not disappointed in our final selections of the Seafood Benedict and B-52 breakfast. Poached eggs in the benedict were perfection, and they did not skimp on the hollandaise. The B52 is definitely the cure for both starvation and hangovers, with its 6-piece serving of 2 humongous pancakes, toast, bacon, sausage patty, hash browns and 3 eggs your way.
Aside from watching take-offs and landing of various aircraft, it was super cool to see tables walk over to the adjacent airplane parking lot and take off into the sky after their meal. Clearly this place is frequented by patrons and pilots alike!
Really cool breakfast spot with super friendly staff. Good portions of good food, and on a nice day, you get to watch planes take off and land. Highly recommend!
