Moonstruck has been around for many years. Patrons keep returning for their fabulous food. I have so many favorites, so I keep rotating what I order. Sometimes I convince my family to do family style, that way I can have a bigger variety. The clams, eggplant fries with drizzled honey and their mezze platter are the way to go for starters but I do enjoy the rack of lamb and their pasta dishes too. My ultimate favorite thing on the menu is their pralines and coffee ice cream dessert. All I can say is wow!! The restaurant is on multiple levels which can become difficult with those with physical limitations. The atmosphere gives off the vibe for more mature folks. I would call it a classic and not trendy. Food is delicious, staff are friendly and mature.
The food is really good, I really liked the pesto pasta - so fresh in flavor. The eggplant fries were a great suggestion, we enjoyed all appetizers, this place has great seafood options. The staff is superb, and helpful. The dining is a minimum $30 per person, so be prepared to eat more!
Had dinner after my daughters wedding. Food was very good Christian our waitress was amazing there was 12 of us and she was very attentive. Made sure all the meals came out together and our drinks were full.
Such an amazing experience ! Be sure to make a reservation in advance, and you may wait inside... but it worth it - for everything ! Our waitress was perfect. Service was on good timing.
Cocktails delicious - potatoes leak soup was amazing ! sea food was delicious. The chicken was perfect as well.
We finished with a very good dessert...
We recommend the place and we will come back 100%
Went for dinner; first time; w my wife. Very nice atmosphere. My server, Stan?, was excellent; pleasant, knowledgeable & attentive. We both started w salads & they were good (Caesar & house). I had pasta w shrimp & clams. Shrimp was fresh & plentiful enough. Clams were not plentiful. Sauce was very good. Wife had scallops & shrimp over risotto; she loved it👍🏼 Had cappuccino (very good) and shared a bread pudding w fresh cream & ginger ice cream; enjoyed it👍🏼. Wife had a martini & it was quite good! Moonstruck overall, highly recommend👍🏼
Saturday night dining was busy but perfect. Wait time at 545-6 pm was only 20 mins. Sat at the bar and ordered stater drinks and an app. When it was our turn to head upstairs, the hostess took our drinks and app to our table. Constantly had our water refilled and the server was very tentative! Tried the sangria, fried artichokes, and eggplant fries. For dinner, we split the specials, which were tomato salad (jersey toms) and short rib. So good! Ambiance was beautiful but could be a little dark in certain spots, and unfortunately, ppl pulled out their phone flashlights that were very bright. It's not a jeans type of environment but also not a black tie location. I definitely can't wait to go back.
Moonstruck is a great restaurant with amazing customer service. Our waiter, Ken and server, Sarah took great care of us for our anniversary weekend. Such attentive and caring staff!
Moonstruck is a staple in Asbury. Great Italian food with some Mediterranean Greek influences. It’s a big place with a small feel. Tables are spaced nicely and there are bars on both levels of the restaurant. The food was excellent. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed!
Hidden gem! I’ve been to asbury numerous times and finally stumbled across Moonstruck and I’m in love.
Variety of food, all delicious. Old school, homey vibe.
Had the restaurant week dinner. Food was delicious with generous portions. Service was outstanding and very pleasant. Water glasses were refilled promptly without having to flag any one down. And a pretty place. PLUS and this is amazing -- there were 4 of us trying to figure out this uncooperative parking meter and someone from the restaurant came across the street to help. A wonderful experience all around.
