Great food as always... the steak pie is most delicious and one of the few ones that actually have excellent flavor in each bite... it’s easy for pies to on the bland side but the pies here never disappoint my daughter or I.

Absolutely love this place! Hands down best place in town to grab a pint and homemade pie!

Loved it! Loved everything about it. We stopped in here after long drive and enjoyed pies for dinner and some light drinks. My friend enjoys the peas and mint, which is a flavor I've never had before. It's lovely. My only complaint is that my server didn't know what kind of meant it was. I'm going to try speriment when I try this at home. This place is a terrific combination of comfort food and a semi- Renaissance atmosphere. Try it!

A friendly atmosphere. The dark wood and in general reminded me of pubs we went to in Ireland. Great food. Male server was really good.

I had the curry chicken/rutabaga/mango chutney pie. It was the first *real* meat pie I've ever had, and it was awesome! The curry wasn't too strong. The mango chutney wasn't as sweet at Trader Joe's mango chutney...which was a good thing in this dish. The crust was browned to perfection. And a pint of Guinness to wash it down! The staff was awesome, helpful, and friendly, too.

I’ll only eat their fried chicken from now on. Great service, and good people as well.

We had the chicken, bacon, cremini, and leek pie- there are no words. It was simply incredible! Great selection of beer on tap and extraordinary local wine. We will be back soon.

Full disclosure: I visit this place almost every week after an afternoon run. It's a habit I got into for a few reasons. They are close to my house; they serve hard cider on tap; and the pub pies are truly magnificent. I've been to my share of British and Irish bars, and like any type of food, the quality has varied from place to place. To be fair, the only thing I ever order from Smithfields is the pie. But here's the thing - it is unparalleled. Truly. The crusts are homemade, the fillings are delicious, the flavors are creative and the menu changes from time to time. So by any measure appropriate to a pub that serves pies, they are at the top of the game, every time. ORDER THE PIE.

I come here as much as I can! It is relaxed and yummy! The menu includes the most wonderful pot pies you could imagine plus many other fantastic choices including salads and apps. I love that it is a full bar with local brews and spirits such as 3 spirits whiskey of Talent and Apple Outlaw ciders in Applegate. This is a relaxed spot that does not disappoint for the discriminating palate. A must GO place!!

Everytime I come home to Ashland, I'm depressed that everything seems to have turned into a soulless sports bar, but this place bucks the trend. Original, unique, memorable, and flavorful. It has a few variations on the concept, but still has some more traditional pies if you want. Would definitely go again. 4 stars for great atmosphere and flavor.

A real hidden gem! Being from Australia, naturally my husband and I are willing to try any British pub we come across. Their pies were amazing, especially the steak and mushroom (I had massive food envy, having ordered the cottage pie). The pastry on the steak pie was flaky, buttery and moist, just perfect. Unfortunately they were out of the sausage rolls and scotch eggs, otherwise we would have tried those too. A good selection of beers (including Guiness of course), British condiments such as HP sauce and a few cocktails. I wish they had more British food instead of offering fried chicken and American biscuit burgers. We had fun playing trivial pursuit while we waited. They lose a point for the long wait (about 50 minutes), even though they were not busy.

Small, casual pub style dining with really good food. Stopped in for lunch with a few friends and each got something different. One had their version of a burger and it was delicious and cooked perfectly. Another had one of their specialty pot pies and was raving about how good it was. Another had a fancy salad and was ready to go back the next day. My own sandwich was very good and not a thing to complain about. Prices were fair and while the atmosphere is a little cool and pub like, it was fine for a casual meal out. Our wait staff efficient and pleasant. All in all, it was a quaint little lunch that we all enjoyed and we'll be back in our next visit in the area. Street parking.

We enjoyed our supper. Lighter food, burgers, sandwiches, English meat pies and chicken. A good beer list including local drafts and bottled beers, wines and cocktails. A nice intimate atmosphere with brick and rows of tables. Recommended!

Came by this place randomly after our first choice was closed already. Lucky for us! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We had the sweet potato pie and the chicken curry pie with mango chutney, and both were very tasty, and I would definitely recommend them. Good beer and wine selection. If you like stouts and porters, try the Devastated Dry Stout. By the time we left, we couldn't have been happier that our first choice was closed and that we found ourselves a great pace to come back to next time!
