Decent Mediterranean cuisine. I enjoyed the lamb gyro sandwich I ordered with the Portakalli Gazoz soda (orange). I requested feta on the lamb sandwich and it was delicious. The pita bread was well toasted as well. The lamb meat was perfectly seasoned to my liking. Not at all bland nor spicy. And it definitely wasn't that cardboard looking gyro meat that some places pass off as lamb..Oddly enough but true..lol.. They have around 10 tables there of you want to enjoy a meal there. Again, I would order the same thing again at this Sip Sap (Astoria) location. They have a Sip Sap in midtown as well. Genuine review here...More positive Google reviews than negatives about this place. You be the judge. šŸ‘

I finally tried this place. I had a plate of beef gyro, rice, and salad. It was delicious. The beef was crisp and savory. The rice was perfectly al dente. The salad was fresh with a hint of mint. They gave me Turkish tea for free. I highly recommend people go here and give it business. It was reasonable. You could sit down and didnā€™t have to throw out plastic. I would like to eat here more!

Worth the trip out to Astoria! No liquor licence yet but there is BYO. Get the scallops and shrimp (specials off the menu): two different dishes with seafood pan seared in a cast iron pan dripping in butter, garlic, lemon and parsley. Lamb was tender and not overly strong. We came for the manti, which was drowning in sour cream. It wasn't my favorite but that's subjective since I don't like manti that much. Definitely come here!

What a pleasant new restaraunt. Turkish food presented very pretty and more upscale than I expected. Staff very friendly, well lit room, clean linnened tables. I wish they had a lunch special. We got two appetisers for lunch as the full meals were more than we wanted (or wanted to pay). I would go back again.

I came with 7 people for dinner. The space is beautiful. We shared labne, cheese rolls, muharamma and turksish salad to start. Everything was wonderful. I had the Mediterranean sea bass special and enjoyed it. The shrimp casserole was amazing. The Lamb and Okra was great too.

A restaurant that is increasing the level of the game for the mammoths of Astoria. This brand new restaurant with great interior design has healthy and flavorful dishes served by very friendly staff. I am so happy that the monopoly of the old but no more good restaurants is OVER!

Good was delicious, service was great but the price was too much for lunch in this area. It would make a lot of sense for the restaurant to offer lunch special deals during lunch to to promote traffic. I won't be coming back here for lunch for would definitely choose this place for a celebration dinner.

Excellent Turkish food. The shrimp and scallop appetizer specials in a lemony garlic and butter sauce was outstanding. The baked sea bass entree was really good, as was the rice pudding dessert. Service was also very good, friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Nice atmosphere, if a bit noisy when the restaurant filled up. Will go back for sure.

The food is authentic, flavorful and delicious. The roasted lamb and rice dish melts in your mouth. The eggplant salad is rich and creamy and the yogurt sauce was perfect. The staff was friendly and their service was impeccable. The owner was present and stopped by to greet guests and spend a moment talking with them.

This new Turkish restaurant has lived up to the hype. Really good food I donā€™t think you can go wrong with anything there and we tried a lot of things on the menu. One of them was a lamb dish and we both enjoyed it and neither of us particularly like lamb. We happened to get there when there was just one table left and as a heads up Iā€™ve noticed they sometimes have a wait. Service was excellent. Decor is nice. Iā€™ll definitely be going back.

I have been dreaming about this restaurant since I went a few weeks ago. Excellent food, beautifully decorated, great staff. We had the octopus appetizer which was cooked juuust right, and was served in a delicious broth. My friend had the roasted lamb and rice which he loved, and I had the baked sea bass which was perfect. Portions were large and it was hard to finish everything on the plate, but we stuck around until we could clean them. Will definitely be back here, and it was worth the 45 min subway ride.
