I love coming to this place. I’ve been going here for years and the pastries are delicious. I always want all of them. I think price point is fair. The one complaint this place gets is the service, which in my experience has been overall ok, once in a while it gets spotty. I also love the corner location of this cafe, it’s very open and has a chill vibe. I recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth.
I see that this place doesn’t exactly get the rating is deserves due to many not enjoying the hospitality that comes from this place. When it comes to their desserts everything is delicious, I can see how people could feel the service is not up to par and alot of that has to do with the fact that the family that owns this place comes from abroad and their English is not that good. If you want a high quality selection of fresh dessert you will not be disappointed coming here.
The owner is obsessively clean and organized, and it shows. She's been in the business forever. There's a big variety of cakes. It is one of the better modern Greek pastry cafes by Astoria standards.
Excellent Café! I enjoyed the service, the stay and the food. It was quite delightful. The servers were very friendly and attentive in their service. They strived to give my friends and I the greatest service. I liked that. The food was pretty good. I’d visit here again.
Street could be an issue. If you search enough, you can find one. I was here over the weekend.
Rare for a pastry store to have table service. Usually you buy the pastry and sit down. There the waitresses waited and gave us a menu, was courteous and the Napoleon was delicious. I did not see or interact w the crazy old lady owner but the staff I interacted with was fine
When you crave BAKLAVA, you get 8 of them at once 😂 📍Lefkos Pyrgos Cafe, Astoria, Queens NY
Walked around Astoria NY to explore the endless street filled with Greek cafes, restaurants, and bakeries
Bumped into this gem 💎 that had loads of reviews and a huge selection inside. Lefkos Pyrgos Cafe started in 1970s and I would say has a mix of both a traditional and modern approach to bakery items. When you first walk in, you can't help but notice a huge baklava cheesecake 😂who thinks of these things?
Moving down the line, they have some chocolate domes, fruit tarts, and cookies. By the counter , you'll see more traditional Greek pastries such as BAKLAVA.I'm happy that they had both smaller bites and also larger baklava for you to choose from
Others include Bougatsa (creme custard filled filo pastry), Greek custard pudding, loukamadis (Greek doughnuts), and more
Here you can see a few selections from pistachio, mixed nuts to, kataifi bites (stringy pastry). All of them were wonderful, quite sweet actually.
For me, it wasn't crispy enough. Nor did it have enough nutty flavor. Overall I'm still glad we got my cravings fixed!

If you’re in the mood for some Greek pastries (and French and Italian and English ) , you will find them all in Lefkos Pyrgos Cafe. I got the almond macaroon (one waitress told me first that it was pistachio) which was different than usual but was still good. My British friend got bread pudding and my other friend got tiramisu Unlikely to others I didn’t find service kind Nor friendly . There are lots of place to sit and dine in, we did take out .
Clean ace w/lots of bakery products to choose from. They have fresh bread as well. We had some Greek pastries & Greek coffee. Delicious!
I will start by saying that I am usually happy with the experience at LP.....not so much the other night , the 2 waitresses seemed annoyed that we asked for a table of 8 ,like we were taking them away from doing their job , it started bad and went downhill . Our orders were very basic, 3 frappes 2 iced teas ,2 greek coffees and waters ....plus 6 glika, couple of cheesecakes and greek pastries 🍰.
Brought over and just placed on the table , no attempt at handing the individual their order with a sour puss ,
And the check dropped laying against a cheesecake....and that was the last we saw of the waitress , My wanted to take some of the unfinished pastry home ,tried for a few minutes to get someones attention to no avail... got up, went inside to ask for a take home cover plate and rudely met with "what do you want? And How many do you need?
Such a great late night spot of you’re in Astoria, doing a round of drinking and have a sweet tooth. Pretty nice Greek Bakery, with undoubtedly the best Baklava I've ever had. super clean spot and super nice people. 10/10 would do again, thank you for the pastries!
I've been a customer of Lefkos Pyrgos for over 20 years, and each year I feel the pastries and cakes get better and better.
With 2020 being a challenging year, and with the holiday season upon us - now is the BEST time to enjoy the delicious sweet treats - to satisfy even the sweetest tooth!
I enjoy all of my Lefkos Pyrgos treats - and recommend you all do the same!
🍰 Happy Sweet Holidays! 🍰
