Not my first time but I could not think of a better Restaurant to go to for lunch with my daughter on my Birthday thanSix Feet Under. The food is excellent along with the service you get. Our server was very attentive, kept table cleared of used glasses and dishes and showed you that she was glad to serve you. I will recommend this place anytime. A+
Great food and great atmosphere! We were able to be seated fairly quickly and had great service as well. Highly recommend this place!
very fun place to be with your family and friends food is great the staff is polite will be back and tell friends the good news of a fun place to be
The food was excellent , margarita was good and the service was great. We were even offered iced lemon water to go .
We have been through 4 states on our way back home and this is by far the best place we ate in our travels.
I enjoyed the food and services. We ordered blackened fish collard greens, shrimp & oyster po-boy, fried okra in a Ice-tea. I enjoyed the environment family-orientated. Very pleasant I will be returning back very soon!!! Not too many restaurants remind me of our food from, New Orleans! But this one comes very close to it yummy
well we were excited we got a appitzer and drink then the waitress about half hour later came back gave us our bill we never got to order it was 1 oclock on a sat.
Six feet under is a great place to sit on the porch with a spectacular view of downtown. They serve seafood which is some of the best I've had in Atlanta. The price is a little steep but worth it for the experience. The first time I went I got the steamer with my family which was perfect variety of shellfish and crabs and great for a family of four. The gator bites and oysters Rockefeller are fantastic and highly recommend. The last time I went with BangersBeansandMash we got the oysters and then I got the crab cake sliders which I enjoyed very much.
One of the best seafood spots in all of Atlanta. Both the Westside and Grant Park locations are superb. Each locations has a great rooftop patio with terrific views of Atl. There are plenty of tv's and seating with a decently priced menu to choose from. The oyster rockefeller and gator bites are great appitizers to start off with. I went with the shimp po boy sandwich which was delicious and everything I could have hoped for. Make sure to look at all their wonderful side items before making a final decision. Fatjewboy
What a view from a roof top! The wait staff and bartenders are fabulous. The food is delicious and the appetizers such as gator bites and oysters are my faves!
Dined at this location the other night. The fried calamari tacos are delicious. My boyfriend got a trio of tacos, fish, shrimp, and chicken. Very delicious as well. Prices seem to match the quality of the food delivered. It is a bit dark and drab in the restaurant. The seats were also dirty and sticky. But the food was pretty decent for the price. Would return.
Wahh to the other posters. It's an amazing restaurant with an amazing view if you sir on the deck.service isn't the best but the food makes up for the shortcomings. Fish and ch
ips were great, tuna cooked perfect, poboys, cranked were all good. Margaritas are a define.Just white the ambiance
We came In for the bloody Mary's, and we will come back for the food and quick service.
Food always well-prepared and delicious. Even all the fried food tastes light and flavorful. Drinks are inconsistent enough that I find myself bartender shopping.
Great atmosphere, easy valet parking. Large beer menu. Food menu is mostly seafood. Service is lacking on timing and accuracy. 7/10
Absolutely loved this place! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. The view of the city made it that much better. I have blogged/reviewed this restaurant and have recommended it to my friends every chance I get.
Disappointed in the changes.... Has always been one of my favorite places for seafood in Atlanta but beware, their prices have increased around 25% over the past year and the portions seemed to have shrunk. I have been coming to Six Feet Under for years and have always ordered the Spicey Rat Toes (old $6.25, new $8.00 a 28% increase) and the Six Feet Under Steamer (old $36, new $43 a 15% increase). Plus the parking has been contracted out to a valet service which charges a mandatory fee (tip not included) to park at the restaurant. I don't know if the increases are due to Six Feet Under passing the new Obama Care costs on to the consumer or changes in seafood prices. Which ever it is I won't be coming back here very much, if at all anymore. I still love the food, just not the changes in parking and prices.
Good "toes". My wife and I ordered all of the "toes" on the menu - shrimp stuffed peppers wrapped in bacon - the mouse were sweet peppers, rat-jalapeno, and dragon-habenero, all were outstanding, also had an oyster shooter, was ok.
My wife ordered a combo plate of tacos, shrimp, catfish, and one more i cannot recall, all of them were good. I ordered the crawfish booil, it was ok. the highlight of the meal was the toes and i was glad i was in the mood to have appetizers.
Always great. The food is awesome, but start with some oyester shooters and a beer from a good beer selection. The gumbo and the crab cakes are great starters. Get there early on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, because the patio fills up fast!
This is the absolute worst experience at a restaurant that I have ever had. When 3 of my friends and I walked in, we were told the wait would be 45 minutes. 20 minutes into our 45 minutes they seemed to misplace our name on the wait list. We patiently placed our name back on the list and proceeded to wait another 45 minutes. 1 hour later, they had misplaced our name on the waiting list again. At this point the manager came over and proceeded to tell us it was our fault our name got misplaced in their computer system. He was rude and entirely disrespectful towards customers that had waited an hour and a half to eat in this establishment. Needless to say, they will not be receiving my business again. Definitely a downgrade compared to the other restaurant.
Pleasantly Pleased. Great place to go and hang out with friends! The atmosphere is laid back, has friendly services, and good food. If you never had fried green tomatoes...get it here.
Really liked the diverse menu and I know there are a few things I would go back to try. I got the spicy rat toes which were jalepenos stuffed with shrimp and wrapped in bacon. They were good and came with ranch for dipping. I stole a few of the spouse's chips and dipped them in his tarter sauce - very good. I was talking as i was eating so I don't remember the hush puppy I stole, but it must have been good as I ate it all. Neat place - a hit for me.
Good place.. I have been there a couple times for lunch with coworkers and I have to tell you this place has some darn good food. Try the alligator bites you will not regret it!
I love the rooftop seats!. Good food with a great view. A great place to go after a football game ---- Gooooo Jackets!!!!
Yum! Nuff said. Scallop and calamari tacos awesome. Shrimp boil is really good. Fried okra amazing!! Service can be slow but have a beer and chill out. Worth the wait
Success!. Nothing better than the 1/2 off appetizers during football season. not to mention that they are really, really good.
Love It!!!!. Great little place to grab a little bit to eat.
Pat and Nancy Mitchell's dream of creating a coastal pub in ATL is alive with laughter, friendly chatter, and an energetic staff. Yes, Maria this is a Westside story. The building sits atop one of the few hills in downtown Atlanta, creating an absolutely
This location is very well run! It's pristine clean and organized and the food is just fabulous. I love the menu. The staff is also great. The only thing is they added a tip on to my bill without telling me. My wife and I are big tippers so we added a 30% tip onto an already added 20% tip. So we paid 50% in tip unintentionally. This is the only issue. I would encourage the staff to make it clear that the tip is included. Everything else is wonderful and we will be back.
This is a decent pub with plenty of room and options to sit (indoor, roof top, outdoor). Their service is pretty fast. We were a group of about 12 and one server was able to manage us all. She did feel a little puzzled and I felt we all would've benefitted from an additional pair of hands. Specially when the tip of $200 + was pre-included.
Their dragon feet is very popular, I don't do bacon so won't be able to comment though one of my team member was literally in tears and still eating. I felt their calamari was oily and so were the blacked shrimp tacos and the home made chips. Taste wise, the shrimp tacos were OK. Bathroom was clean and well decorated.
The service provided by Kyler was excellent! He was professional and very kind. The oysters with Parmesan cheese and garlic were good. The shrimp and grits were mediocre. The crab cake sliders were okay. The baked shrimp and scallops were delicious. My peach martini was superb!. I will definitely return.
I’ve been here many times, but this was the first time in a long time. We chose to come here for the rooftop and its views. Unfortunately, they planted some trees since the last I was here because there is no longer a view of the city. Boooo.
However, the food and drinks were really good. Drinks were not watered down and delicious even for someone who doesn’t like to drink like me.
Tacos could’ve used better presentation but they taste a lot better than they looked, which I’m pleased about.
Delicious catfish! Corn was not seasoned but they give you some butter and just add salt👍🏼 drinks are good too, they don’t skimp on the liquor and reasonably priced. Customer service was great too. Rooftop view is awesome!
😁My overall experience was pretty cool. Me and my friends pulled up to the spot and was greeted by two valet gentlemen. Walked in and got greeted and then shown to our section. We went to the rooftop and enjoyed ourselves. Food was on point. Only downside was the waiter brought my lady a dirty glass but it was immediately fixed.👌
We had the Calamari it was fresh HOT Crispy sauce delicious. The drink Cemetery Sour is pretty cool with splash of Vodka. I come at least 5 times a year always a pleasure!
We were on the hunt for fresh air dining and decided to try the rooftop at Six Feet Under. We arrived just after 5PM on a Friday and got seated on the rooftop as we had hoped.
We had eaten here several years ago and were not really impressed but we had not dined on the rooftop then. The view was just what we needed and the temperature was a perfect 80 degrees with a slight breeze.
We started with an order if catfish fingers which included a cucumber wasabi sauce and sweet chili sauce. The catfish was OK, the wasabi sauce was great and the okra was exceptional.
My wife ordered the fried catfish which came with fried okra, hush puppies, coleslaw and corn on the cobb.
I ordered the blackened catfish which came with fried okra and I substituted hush puppies for the coleslaw.
Both the fried and blackened catfish were boring. The coleslaw was ok, the okra was awesome, corn ok, and the hush puppies were soggy.
For restaurants that may be listening, hush puppies should be crispy (not burnt) on the outside. Soggy hush puppies seem to be a standard these days.
Our waitress was outstanding and quickly exchanged my hush puppies for corn on the cobb.
Overall, we would go back only if we could get a rooftop table. We would also try other food but easily order the okra.
I should also mention that parking is a challenge here. When we came out, 4 cars were waitng for us to pull out so they could get a spot. There may be valet and we were just too early since we got there around 5:00.
What an awesome birthday experience! I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars for the service. Sitting upstairs at the rooftop Steven and Jalen stayed on top of our orders, never had to wait or flag them down for attention. I didn't have a large party or try a variety of foods. Best Caesar salad I've ever had in a restaurant. Delicious drinks.
This location was awesome! I’ve been to the other location hundreds of times and it’s great. However, location is in the city and has outdoor seating as you walk up and upstairs! People had their pets with them in the downstairs outside area. The view of the city from the rooftop was fabulous! The service was great! We had an awesome server! They offer additional complimentary parking across the street in a lot. The food was as awesome as expected!
At random we wanted to find a good place to eat after visiting the zoo. After a Google search and several choices to choose from, Six Feet Under was chosen. It's 1.4 miles down the road from Zoo Atlanta. Lots of great choices on the menue, so tried whatever sounded good. There was a 15 minute wait if you wanted the regular dining area. The rooftop dining was the preference and it made the entire experience even better...immediate seating. Great food, great service....go check it out!
Good place for seafood. Everything came out hot. Our server Still, was attentive and great. 4 stars because the table was sticky and the fried okra had several that you couldn't bite through, too hard/ chewy/ stringy.
This is a great pub to hang out with friends or bring a day to! Great atmosphere, great cocktails and nice food! The Rooftop has a nice vibe, with its own bar and a nice view of the Atlanta skyline. The staff takes orders at the table , but you could also order food the rooftop bar if you need it faster. Glad I found this place.
This was my first time eating here. I came here because the reviews said the food was good and this place didn't disappoint. From the valet, to the hostess to the server. We had a great experience. The Ambiance is really nice, and the food is Really Good!!!! Can't wait to come back when the weather is better to sit on the rooftop deck and enjoy the views of the city.
