My 21st birthday celebration at the Italian restaurant was a delightful experience that left a lasting impression on me and my big family. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming ambiance that set the tone for the evening. The restaurant's cozy and intimate setting provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Dimmed lighting and rustic decor created a charming and authentic Italian atmosphere, making us feel like we were dining in a quaint trattoria in Italy. The staff were attentive and courteous throughout the evening. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, helping us with recommendations and catering to our dietary preferences. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the exquisite Italian cuisine. Every dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavors and made from high-quality ingredients. We had the Tortellini all hanna, Rigatoni al rage, Liguine also scoglio, and the 14 oz Ribeye Steak. Each dish was a delightful journey through Italian gastronomy. The menu boasted a diverse selection of Italian classics, ranging from pasta to fresh seafood and delectable meat dishes. There was something to please everyone's palate, making it easy for our group with different tastes to find dishes they enjoyed. The presentation of each dish was simply stunning. The attention to detail was evident, with carefully arranged plates that looked as beautiful as they tasted. It was evident that the chefs took great pride in their craft, and it made our dining experience even more memorable. While the prices were on the higher side, the exceptional food quality and overall dining experience made it well worth the splurge for a special occasion.
Very authentic Italian experience here in Atlanta. Staff is very friendly and provided solid recommendations. Will be coming back!
We were in Atlanta for a conference and needed a dinner reservation for our party of 20. We had to cancel our other reservation and reserved this place via OpenTable only hours prior and were so impressed! They took us downstairs and we had the whole room to ourselves. Two servers gave us near constant attention with grace and friendliness. The food was fantastic and our group had an amazing time. Bravo!
I have been hearing about this place for awhile, glad I finally got to go. The atmosphere was really nice, great spot for a date or special occasion. I really enjoyed the octopus and the bruschetta. The lamb was too salty for me, that maybe due to me not using too much salt in my food.
They had a prix fixe menu for Valentine's day. $100 a person is fine in this case because the food was phenomenal and reasonably portioned. Service was just right as well, attentive and kind. All 3 courses were absolutely delicious.
Spent my most recent birthday (November 2022) at Antica Posta… and I am still telling people about this visit nearly a year later.
Definitely THE best Italian food I’ve had.
Not the most attentive waiter..but couldn’t remove more than 1 star for my overall experience. Will not disappoint.
The food was amazing! We came in very late to the restaurant and the staff welcomed us just the same and gave us incredible service! We would definitely come back!
By far one of the best meals we've enjoyed out in a while. We drove up to Atlanta from Columbus for date night. My husband had the pleasure a few weeks back to have a meal here at Antica Posta during a business meetings. He enjoyed it so, he wanted to bring me since I'd never been. The Sea Bass was AMAZING!! We took advantage of the black truffle availability, I ordered it with Scallops. Simply the best!! We had appetizers also, the grilled Octopus was great and my husband thought the Foie Gras was one of the best he'd had. Definitely a family friendly place for upscale dining. We will visit again and will bring friends.
From the get go Aneesa welcomed us with warmth and the restaurant had a great upbeat vibe. Josh made everyone at the bar feel like family. Happy to have found my new favorite buckhead neighborhood restaurant!! 🙏🙏🔥🔥
The food was excellent and the servers were attentive without being intrusive. We dined on a Sunday evening and there was not a lot of action in the dining room which did make us feel a bit "on display."
Really good food and classic Italian specialties. The ambience is nice and the basement area is very cozy. Prices are reasonable. My major issue is the parking situation for the restaurant almost forces you to valet way the restaurant
I'd give this place a high 4 rating if I could, and I definitely recommend it. Food was amazing and service was good. Price was very reasonable considering I essentially had a four course meal (bread, appetizer, meal, dessert AND two glasses of wine for less than $70 before tip).
For an appetizer I had prosciutto with buffalo milk mozzarella. Delicious.
For main course I had veal tortellini, also delicious but a disappointing portion size.
For dessert I had the parmigiano reggiano. I thought it was delicious, especially with the wine. Approach with caution though, it's not for everyone. Most people probably would not consider it a dessert in the traditional American sense.
Here are my two gripes that kept me from giving a 5 star
1. My main course portion size was disappointing, especially considering how delicious it was. I had the veal tortellini and it was fantastic, but it literally maybe had 15 individual tortellinis. My companion had the veal round and his portion size was fine. He also told me about when he took his wife here and she ordered a spaghetti meal and she had leftovers for two days, so perhaps my experience is not the normal or I just ordered the wrong thing.
2. The atmosphere while not "bad" is definitely strange. We arrived early and we were the first group sat upstairs overlooking the bar area down below. They were playing very loud rap music at first in the bar area that you can hear throughout the restaurant which I thought was strange considering my expectation going in was a upscale Italian restaurant classical Tuscany style. Don't get me wrong - it is that, however they definitely seemed to be catering to two different audiences; the "upstairs" crowd and the "bar" crowd. As the dinner service went on, the music seemed to change from rap to a much more enjoyable house type of music which I imagine they change as their crowd at the bar changes. While this experience did not necessarily bother me, I could imagine certain patrons would be off put by it.
Overall I would highly recommend trying Antica Posta out. I will be back, and I am already planning on ordering the veal shanks.
This restaurant is spectacular. The foie gras was perfectly seared, the pasta was covered in truffles, and the Panna cotta was silky perfection. I'll be back to try more dishes!
GREAT restaurant and service. I have food allergies (dairy) and they were kind enough to help me with the menu, and even made GF bread for me. I had many choices for a meal. Choose the lamb chops which were phenomenal. Absolutely recommend and will be back.
Dining experience is always great from the hostess to the valet. Food is truly authentic Tuscan and is always served in a very professional manner. Have been dining there for over a decade and will continue to do so. Marco always makes you feel welcome.
