Excellent food, great atmosphere, knowledgeable staff. Parking is kind of a hassle, but alas, its midtown. Highly recommend.

First visit to Wagaya and it was fantastic! Great location, just a few blocks from my office in Midtown. Parking was scarce but we managed to get a spot behind the building--otherwise there is free on-street parking in this area. The menu was packed with Japanese rice and noodle dishes, as well as a full array of sushi options. I'm a big noodle bowl fan, so that's on my list for next time. On this visit I got the traditional lunch, which included miso soup, chicken teryaki, and two sushi rolls. Everything was excellent!

I was so happy I found this place 😊 This is my first week in Atlanta & I know I’m definitely going to go there A LOT now that I know it exists so close to my work! I want to eat the whole menu... except for dishes with natto 😑

I love how they decorate the restaurant. When you step inside, you can feel like you're actually in Japan. The staff is really friendly. The food there is perfect. Sometimes, they turn on vocaloid, which is perfect for anime fan (otaku).

Finally got the chance to go to WAGAYA last night, pre-ASO concert. Really loved the 'shibui' atmosphere of the place. Ordered the 'udon and chirashi-zushi teishoku', and it was great! The 'udon' noodles had just the right texture (歯ごたえがある)and the seafood on the 'chirashi' was really fresh. The amount was just right for me (I was pretty hungry), but may leave some folks (like my students) with bigger appetites wanting more. Went back again (!) post-ASO concert (べつにはずかしくない!)and shared a 'shoyu-ramen' and 'agedashi-dofu and mochi' with my friend. The ramen was also really good (I'm kind of a 'menrui' snob), but the agedashi was a bit too 関東風 (ie, a bit strong) for us. (I was really in the mood for 'yaki-onigiri' but it was not on the menu.) Oh! And the staff was also very good, not constantly interrupting our meal to see if everything was OK, yet keeping a watchful eye out for us and our needs. I will definitely share this place with my friends and students. Congratulations on the open of this top-notch restaurant, and keep up the awesome job!!

DELICIOUS! The ramen was incredible and the cocktails are super too! The Japanese beer selection is awesome. Great lunch grab or for a low key date night.

I liked this place. The waiter was absolutely excellent and on point. The hostesses were chill. The food was good. The place has its only little vibe. I see no reason to not go again. Parking was tricky but it all worked out.

Went here around lunchtime about an hour before they closed for lunch in prep for dinner. There were a couple of ppl there aside from me. As a result, the hostess was able to sit me quickly, and the server was ready to hand me a menu and take my order. I tried to order the matcha ipa, but they were out, but I imagine it's hard to keep in stock. A lil disappointed but there's always next time. Anyway, I ended ordering one of the lunch specials, which I thought for you got was a good deal. I got the Salmon Teriyaki , the spicy tuna roll, and the salmon crunch roll of which the combo also included a miso soup. The miso soup was very flavourful and nice and warm. Both of the rolls were great, and I really enjoyed the crunch of the salmon roll, which the mix of the soy sauce and Wasabi made it delectable. The salmon Teriyaki was good. Not too sweet and the right amount of flakiness. Overall, for $20 I was quite happy and look forward to returning for another meal

This restaurant is superb. The friendly staff promptly seated us and took our orders. Our food arrived quickly, and it was both fresh and delicious. Since being in Japan, it's been challenging to find something as good, but this restaurant really satisfied our cravings. I highly recommend going early as it fills up fast.

Service was quick and friendly. Tonkotsu ramen is second to none. Just amazing with the depth of flavor and quality of ingredients. It is why I visit this restaurant. Tried the Devil’s Breath sushi roll and was entertained by the torching at the table. Cannot recommend more highly.

Affordable and casual spot for a quick ramen dinner and okay sushi. By no means fancy and doesn’t have much of a wait, which is nice. Parking is free and in the back of the building. Ramen- great broth with rich flavor and perfect noodles. The star of the show. Sushi- creative rolls, but not done as nicely/neatly as Nakato on Cheshire. Agedashi tofu- weird flavor and some of the pieces were chewy (almost like a Boba texture 🧐) would not order this again.

In Atlanta for work and decided to try this place on a whim...dang! It was amazing! We ordered the lava roll, the onigiri, gyoza, the curry ramen + katsu, and the hitsumabushi. Everything was great. The service was outstanding, and we stopped in the store afterward to get some Japanese treats. Do youself a favor and try it!

Great food, really good prices. Something that I don’t often see is that they offer set plates for a good price. It’s a lot of food though, so be mindful of that.

Small place that resembles a real Japanese restaurant. Very clean and nice inside. Service was great and food was pretty good. The curry pork I have posted a pic of is about 20 bucks.

Very delicious sushi and a beautiful presentation. And the coolest part is there is a Japanese grocery store underneath the restaurant! So cool. Felt like I was walking into a tictok.

I am so glad we came to Wagaya last time we went to Atlanta because the food was superb! They weren’t able to accommodate food allergies but we had our medication on us and I’m so glad I did because the sushi tasted very fresh and the ramen were perfectly seasoned. We ordered a few different menu items and nothing disappointed. I wished the Onigiri had more salmon but the rice was very tasty so it was fine. The staff was also friendly and the restaurant had a very chill vibe. Definitely coming back!

Wagaya by far has the best (and most authentic) sushi I’ve ever had — the quality is insane for the price. Thick pieces of sashimi, softest tuna I’ve ever eaten, nice presentation. Highly recommend the Treasure Box! (it comes with a smoke reveal which is really cool)

I was surprised that the atmosphere was so good, and there were a lot of people even though I went a little past lunchtime. Parking is free behind the building but limited spot. Black tonkotsu ramen was delicious but a bit salty. I want to come back again to try another menu soon :)

Wagaya is a hidden gem. This place is very underrated for how fresh and traditional the food is. Fish is top notch, service is great, and although small, the dining area has great ambiance. I’ve had sushi in much more expensive places but just a few are at this level.

Service was great, ambiance is great. All the decor and seating style is very unique and authentic. Had the takoyaki and nigiri platter, it came out promptly and was very fresh. Complimentary miso soup was great as well.

Wagaya has always been one of my go to favorite spots. They are parking in the back or you can park along the street and they serve lunch and dinner. I usually always go there for dinner, but today I decided to go there for lunch and I was very happy with my choice. I got the traditional lunch set, which comes with miso soup, California roll, tempura (shrimp, Japanese y-am and pumpkin), and teriyaki salmon with rice. (you can also choose teriyaki chicken). I’m always full when I finish my meal. I also can say they have an impressive drink, selection of imported beers and other beverages as well. The one thing I also really like about this location is the store underneath I quickly also got supplies of chinese cooking, furikake and wakame. Definitely check out this place if you haven’t already .

This is my new favorite spot. I loved everything about this place. Great service and atmosphere. But the food was the star of the show. Incredibly delicious sushi and sashimi, crispy veggie tempura and amazing ramen. The broth was packed with flavor, and I added more pork - totally worth it. I really enjoyed the Japanese sour drink. I also love how they have a grocery store attached to it, which was also wonderful. I purchased more of the sour drink that I had at the restaurant there. This place is 10/5 solid gold, and I can't wait to come back!
