The BEST bagel I've ever had. I basically order the Sliced Nova with no smoked salmon which took my bagel from $11 to $5. I asked if I could have the salmon seared a little and was informed it could not be done which is the reason I got it without the smoked salmon. The bagel I chose to eat this delicious concoction with was the Jalapeño bagel. It was the best choice ever. From first bite to last crumb, I was on a cloud of blissful happiness. The texture and flavor of the bagel alone was the best ever. I am so happy I stopped here. From the outside, the restaurant looks small but there is ample space on the inside. They have a diverse menu and even sale homemade soaps. The bagels are made in house and have the golden touch. Stop by and let me know what you think. They are located in the Akers Mill Square located off of Cobb Pkwy.
Great atmosphere. Good energy. Convenient store hours and location. You can watch them make the bagels while you wait. The service is fast and friendly. Easy to read digital menu. Decent sized coffee cups. Have you ever heard of Coffee juice...
There are very few negatives so let's start with those first. Do not order according to the pictures on the menu board as they differ from the actual contents of the product. I am a huge fan of green bell pepper so I was a little upset when The Denver did not have any although it shows in the picture. I can see how this might be a problem for someone that orders via visual aids. Also, pictured is roasted ham however you receive standard processed sliced ham. Last of my negatives are the portion sizes in the bowls and the distribution of ingredients. As you can see from the picture the bowl is not filled to the top as shown on the menu. And the cheese is just simply a slice on the top, not melted. Okay that does it for the negative so let's move on to all of the awesome positives. First and foremost the staff is wonderful! We were quickly greeted by three smiling faces. This was our first visit therefore I had a few questions about menu items. Each one of our questions was answered with wonderful descriptives of contents. Request to substitute, such as cream cheese and avocado on the side, we're willingly accepted. I have questions about the flavors of coffee and was pleasantly surprised to find out that coffee flavored ice cubes are used for the iced drinks. Our meals although lacking in quantity as mentioned above were absolutely delicious. My daughter is a little finicky when it comes to certain textures and flavors so I was very happy that she was pleased with her bowl. She said the hash browns and bacon were crispy and the eggs had a really good taste. My significant other, that dined with us, also enjoyed his California bowl stating that the eggs were very fluffy and he wished that there had been more. Lastly the Denver with the missing bell pepper was still delicious. A little heavy on the onion for my liking but still an equal amount of ham, tomato, cheese, and egg. Our meal, for the three of us, was around $40 (not including tip) so unfortunately I cannot say the food is a good value for the money however if you're wanting a breakfast treat for yourself 101 Bagel Cafe is a great option. Plus side is there is a game corner that kept the 9-year-old entertained while we waited for our food. Game of Hungry Turtles anyone? Rainbow and pumpernickel bagels a great start to the day. Generous cream cheese spread
Best bagel I’ve had since moving from NYC 10 years ago. Not quite NYC level but definitely tasty.
AND they have delicious Taylor ham/pork roll! I smiled so big when I ate it. I got a plain bagel with bacon, Taylor ham, and egg.
Also cashier was funny and nice
Legit one of the best bagels I’ve ever had. My order is super simple. Just an everything bagel toasted with butter. It was phenomenal. I should also say I grew up on NJ/NY bagels and this is on par.
5 star SOLID Bagels, seriously. The reason I'm giving it the four star treatment is the death by a thousand little issues problem. The bathrooms were very dirty and the towel dispensers didn't work, the floors were sticky and the tables weren't very clean on top of the whole place needing a fresh coat of paint. Solid food regardless but the place needs a little TLC and then I would say it's a solid five star bagel spot.
Pretty good bagel place near the ballfield. They offer more than just bagels and deliver up some awesome ice coffees with coffee ice cubes. I would recommend hitting this place up if you need a little breakfast brunch option before the game.
Came in a day they really were low on staff. The line was a bit long, but as soon as we ordered, we were greeted amazingly and the customer service was extraordinary. I really enjoyed the food and coffee and will definitely come back again.
I have been coming to this location for years but just decided to leave a review after I had a wonderful experience the other week when I went in on a busy weekend. It’s wild seeing some of the negative reviews on here when I’ve never had a negative experience with the cashiers, but have absolutely witnessed them displaying more patience than I could hope to muster with various rude, entitled and downright aggressive customers who will see the employees working their butts off running back and forth adeptly to tend to one person or another’s needs, and then turn around and get rude with them because, surprise surprise, your food won’t be out in five minutes when you were the tenth family in line. From where I’m standing the staff are saints. Sadly, reviews are usually driven by those same rude and entitled people with a vendetta. On to the food: The bagels never miss, always great taste and texture as close to New York as I’ve ever gotten in Atlanta. They have a great deal on the dozen on Tuesdays, and their Reuben and sliced Nova are excellent. Never been disappointed. They have surprisingly good coffee which you wouldn’t really expect for a non-coffee shop. I don’t know if this is a mom and pop but it doesn’t have that cold hyper corporate feel. You can literally watch them make the bagels from scratch and bake them, and I think the cashier said they make the cream cheese too, but I don’t know for sure, don’t quote me on that, but it tastes fresh. They don’t wear nametags but I wanna give a shout out to the cashier with glasses and the one with pink hair they’re very accommodating. And everyone in the kitchen churning out the food constantly. Saw them put out maybe 20-something sandwiches in the middle of the lunch rush for one order once. There have been a lot of other great employees over the years but it seems like they turnover often.
Delicious breakfast Sammie’s and iced coffee! It’s very basic inside with not much as far has decorations but there are a tables and they have board games. The staff was friendly and answered the questions I had. Plenty of free parking. Happy I found this breakfast spot.
