You can find this location of Galla's Pizza at 1155 Mount Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30338 in the shopping center at the intersection of Mount Vernon and Perimeter Center West (right where it transforms into Abernathy). It's at the end of the building on the upper North side.
While Galla's to me isn't fantastic pizza, it's definitely worth trying as I think many will like the options and ability to order slices - something you don't see much outside of Fellini's. I like to experiment with slices to find that just-perfect combination. Try a slice of sausage, jalapeno and pineapple, for instance. Or do something basic if that's your style - it's all available here. You'll get a hit of pizza and parmesan when you open the door - love that.
I've tried some of the other menu options, like the wings and subs. While they are all good, basic fare, the lemon wings are exceptional (if you like that style) - they'll do them up crispy. I'm usually more of a buffalo style guy but the lemon here are the bomb.
I basically work across the street a block at Northbrook so this is an easy walk. You order at the counter at Galla's and the pizza comes out quickly. It can get a bit messy at busy lunch times as there isn't that much space up front but you get that at Fellini's too. I've only been here once in the evening and it was very laid back - not a bad place to get snacks and have a couple of brews.
Philly and fries are delicious. Fries are not overly salted, and were fresh. The Philly did take some time, but that's because Galla's bakes it as they should. The result is bread had a nice soft crunch to it, beef was seasoned nicely. I would have liked a little more onions, but that's my preference on a Philly. The sandwich was good and people in the office we're eyeing my Philly! Yesterday the office had ordered pizzas and the chicken mushroom pizza was delicious, the crust is my favorite. I spoke to Steve, the owner, due to a previous experience, it's clear he values his customers' opinions and listens. Definitely come check out Galla's and continue to support small businesses.
I am from out of town and I choose this place cause it had good reviews so I came to check it out, everything was wonderful I got cheesey bread and Buffalo chicken pizza (if you don't like spicy don't get it) both where tasty and the place was nice and clean and the staff was really nice
This review summarizes my first dining experience at this restaurant. Overall, the food was fine, but with prices a bit higher than what I expected, I'll likely try something different next time.
Walking around the Perimeter plaza housing this restaurant, I strolled in ready for a bite to eat. The lady at the register was helpful in pointing me to some vegetarian-friendly pizzas, and so I ordered a Mini 9" Veggie pizza and a drink and proceeded to pay at the register. Taking a look around the restaurant after I seated myself at the bar counter, the restaurant appeared unremarkable but certainly looked clean and in good order, which I appreciated, though I didn't like that it was very dimly lit closer to the back in contrast to the sunlight coming in through the front. There were a few other customers sitting in too having lunch, so it didn't feel too lonely where I sat.
A short while later, my pizza arrived fresh out of the oven. With it being fresh, it was refreshing to chew into. Though the flavor itself was nothing memorable, I appreciated how it was neither too cheesy nor too oily, which I find major turn-offs when having pizza at other establishments, so the experience was a welcome departure from other pizza experiences. Afterward, I quietly left the restaurant and went about my day.
Thirteen dollars for a nine-inch pizza was a lot higher than I expected (I thought seven to ten dollars max for a nine-inch pizza was reasonable), but two dollars for a drink with free refills was appreciated. I look forward to returning next time, but I'll make sure to order bigger pizzas which seem to better justify their price on the menu.
The pizza they make here is incredibly cheesy, like cheese bridge when you bite it cheesy, and the atmosphere is very family friendly, and if you live in the area, they have great delivery service. It's like a sports bar pizza joint and on a Friday night you'll see lots of young families as well as young singles and people on dates. It's a great place for anyone in any walk of life. They also have good crispy chicken wings and my coworkers and I also enjoy coming here for lunch from time to time. There's typically some sort of lunch special deal. It's usually pretty quiet and the service staff is attentive and polite. Their salad is the only area that is lacking. It's pretty good but not great. The 3 times I ordered salads, they weren't cold, but room temperature, and I ended up with an upset stomach. This is a great place to have a slice and a coke on a workday for lunch or enjoy an evening brew and some wings with friends and family.
We've enjoyed several family meals here at this location. The pizza is great and the service is pretty efficient. We typically call ahead to place our order and then dine in since we have young toddlers and it makes the wait for the pizza to cook more tolerable. There are a number of booths and patio seating available. We've seen several small parties hosted here.
Great pizza, real cheese, fresh ingredients and dough. Their salads are also great! Staff is very warm and inviting. This is coming from a New Yorker that has very discriminating taste when it comes to pizza. Will definitely visit again.
Galla's is our go-to pizza place! The pizza is fantastic! We always get something different and are never disappointed. I also love their calzones. The staff is efficient and kind. We will grab a drink at the bar with some apps from time to time too. Great place, great food, great people!
We ordered from here a couple random Friday nights and every single time the food was great. We loved each of the pizzas we got and would order here again. One stay was taken off due to the slightly above average wait times we have had. All in all , great prices, great staff, and we would come here again for dinner.
Had an issue that was promptly responded to by the owner and will definitely try again based on the response I got. I appreciate the time taken to respond and mistakes happen.
Garlic rolls and Pizza Frita were great. If the sauce with the garlic rolls is any indication, then the pizza sauce should be great!
I used to order take out and delivery from Gallas all the time from the Chamblee location in 2009 and LOVED the wings. I recently visited this location and happy to say it's just as delicious! My favorite wings! The pizza's good too, but I go for the wings.
They have the best Philly cheese anywhere around, hands down. As to the reviewers whining about delivery, please note that Gallas does not do their own delivery. You should take your issues up with the delivery service. All meals are made to order, so this isn't the fastest place to get lunch, but the service is friendly, there is plenty of parking, and did I mention that Cheese steak? You have to try them.
Being from Buffalo I have to show my fellow Buffalonians love. Galla’s Pizza has great food and it feels good to bite into delicious Authentic Buffalo pizza, wings, and subs. I will always support you guys. Think about opening another location somewhere in the Cobb Galleria area!!!
Pulled up a nearby restaurant on Google & read some reviews and said let's check it. We ordered the Chicken parm pasta, & the lunch special with 2 slices of pizza. As we sat n ate our meal a man asked us was were we first timers I said yes. I was impressed with the fresh 4 ingredients cheese & 3 ingredient sauce. I can tell he has a passion for quality food. We will be back the next time we are in ATL GA. We are from TN; this place know how to show some southern Hospitality. Special thks to Barbara & Steve
