It’s rare that you can go out for dinner and drinks and everything is absolutely perfect. This place literally eats and breathes perfection. Chris was our bartender and he made our special occasion even more special. The elegant decor, the classic approach cocktails using to fresh ingredients with a contemporary twist around every corner, and the food was divine. I have a new favorite bar in Atlanta.

By far the best place in Atlanta. Drinks are amazing, food is out of this world, service is on point and staff know what you want before you realize you want it!

The most stellar experience you can have in Atlanta...or in any city for that matter. From the decor to the cocktails to the staff, my expectations were exceeded at every turn. There truly is no other place like Himitsu.

Exotic. Exclusive. Would definitely recommend for a refreshingly ambient experience in Buckhead Atlanta.

I’m a sucker for anything with shiso leaf and they've utterly mastered the shiso leaf cocktail with yuzu. Phenomenal rock shrimp. Addictive.

This is a beautiful place with an excellent ambience. Bartenders are knowledgeable about their craft. Brandon provided fantastic service. Great place to celebrate or bring a date. It's very expensive. My 12-year whiskey was $45 a pop. My friend and I walked out with a nearly $200 bill. So this isn't your everyday drinking hole. We came last night on a Saturday evening and it was not that busy. I hope the place doesn't go out of business. I think they went overboard on pricing, thus 4 stars rather than 5. This was my second time here. The first time I was here Chops nearby caught on fire in this bar filled with smoke and we all had to evacuate.

Himitzu, Atlanta's hidden gem of a lounge, is celebrated for serving some of the city's finest cocktails, a perfect follow-up to a superb dinner after UMI. This speakeasy distinguishes itself with elegant decor and a cozy atmosphere, providing a unique setting for socializing with an impressive crowd. It's a must-visit destination in Atlanta. Secure a dining experience at UMI first, then politely request the secret code for Himitzu access. If it's a quieter night, you might just get the code, or alternatively, you can make a reservation via email. A little charisma can go a long way while making that reservation :) Cheers, BN

Feels like a speakeasy bar. Good vibes and great drinks. Getting a reservation was a task, was it worth it? Absolutely yes. The decor and ambiance is very classy and dark. They have bar food, nothing fancy. Their espresso martini was amazing. I would recommend reservations ahead. Parking was easy and they have valet as well.

We were here Friday night for a corporate Christmas party. We started with cocktails then our bartender gave us about a 30--45min mixology class which was cool...after we headed upstairs for "snacks" from Umi next door & more drinks. I was very impressed with the attention to detail, awesome staff, the beautiful interior & the drinks were really very impressive. We really enjoyed the sushi plates from Umi. I think everyone really enjoyed themselves!!

A Japanese speakeasy? Yes, they really do exist. And they have a strict dress code. And you need a reservation. But don't let that deter you. The place is pretty pricy with each drink running about $20, but it's a great place to take a date. I think I tried almost every non-Gin based drink on the menu and each one was as good as the last. The desserts are also very good. For a special treat get the smoked Whiskey drink!

Brilliant concept, but can be very noisy at full capacity. Come early and enjoy one of the more fun-decorated speakeasies in Atlanta.

This was my first Speakeasy and I had a great time! I went for my best friend's bday (it was 11 of us in total) and we had a ball. The service was superb and the drinks were great! I also enjoyed the music, which was not too loud and played at the right decibels. This place is for a mature crowd. People were dressed well and friendly. I definitely plan to go back for a date night. I hope someone can get me in again 🤞😊

Not even sure who we ended up here last night but it was so fun. The music, drinks and vibes were immaculate. They also have comfy seats in the bar/lounge area. It’s small but you won’t feel cramped. Their bathrooms have $4k toilets with heated seats. That was delightful.

Majority of the one star reviews are from public outcry about an event from over a year ago at the restaurant it’s next to. Nothing really to do with this place or the quality of the drinks and atmosphere. Public relations aside. Best cocktail bar in Atlanta next to Red Phone Booth. As for Umi, anyone who claims it’s the worst food in their life I suspect would prefer hibachi from Benihana or Publix California rolls. You can’t teach taste unfortunately.

Great drink selection, great atmosphere, perfect place for a date. Cocktails were all great (pretty sure we made it through the whole Signature menu) - I recommend the Tiger or Monkey. Unfortunately after getting home I realized the waiter had run my card 4 times through for our bill.... but putting service aside for the sake of the review, this was a fun, unique spot.

Went there for a birthday. Sent an email and got a code to get in the door. Drinks were good, vibe was fun. They try to maintain a certain level of dress code, which I totally appreciate. If people want to wear tennis shoes and sweatshirts, they need to go to Applebees, not an Asian inspired speakeasy. Would go again!

I like the fact that there's a certain crowd that's allowed in here. Diverse (in age and ethnicity which is always nice in my opinion) but still grown and sexy. I've been to a few speakeasies in ATL but I think this one is the best that I've discovered thus far. You get the exclusive feel w/ tasty drinks and nice little tapas that are pretty flavorful. I arrived early so my friend and I were the first ones there.. the crowd sure does pick up though and the atmosphere does a complete turn around (in a fun way). The choice of music is my taste.. The customer service is nice as well.. and of course, the ambiance is PERF; the dimly lit lights help!

One of Buckhead's best-kept secrets. Love the dark, intimate setting and creative drinks.

This is might be my favorite exclusive lounge in the city. If you have the opportunity to go here, it is a must. The drinks are fantastic, and the atmosphere is very top-notch. I love to stop by here either before or after I grab a bite to eat next door at UMI, which has the same ownership. You can get some of the food at UMI served to you at Himitsu, but I recommend just having a reservation at both. As for the drinks at Himitsu, I always forget the name of it, but here is a drink with Japanese whisky, a little sherry, and it is served in a smoky glass. I inevitably get a little toasted every time I go there because of that drink. Amazing. Be sure to check this place out.

Great place with superior food and drink. Table service quality could improve, but overall, one of my favorite spots in Atlanta. And I am discerning. Take a seat at the bar with a date and split the yellowtail dish and the rock shrimp. Proceed to have the night of your life.
