You can find Pancho's Mexican Restaurant and Cantina at 2641 Buford Hwy NE, Atlanta, GA 30324 near the City of Brookhaven Municipal Courthouse and just east of the North Fork of Peachtree Creek. Parking is in the lot out front or to the business that close in the evenings (provided your visiting during the evening).
Panchos has huge, affordable pitchers of strong margaritas, an excellent patio atmosphere and friendly service. Their fajitas are fresh and loaded with veggies and generous portions of meat. None of my experiences (and I visit at least once a week) has been consistent with the negative commentary below; perhaps there have been changes in management or service standards. In any case, it's awesome and my go-to spot.
Great chips and salsa and the margs are the bomb. Service can be a bit off but it's usually a pretty busy place.
Ohh yeah!. Excellent Mexican! Pancho's is a must try!
Pancho's is really glorified Taco Bell fare. I went to this place a lot after soccer games and in college. If you want authentic Mexican cuisine you'll be better off going to Zocalos. Having said this I like this place. The patio overlooks 85 and is great for meeting with friends and having a few Margaritas
Food is good but not the best Mexican in town. The drinks and atmosphere are what makes this place so good. It makes a good place to sit and talk there's a tree in the courtyard providing shade it's lit up at night witch has a beautiful ambiance. Wide selection of liquors and tequila.
Had a super great time at this place! The service was great and it was a fun Mexican restaurant. The area by the bathrooms/kitchen smelled like old fish and it made me kind of nauseated, so I used the bathroom really fast.
My steak tacos were AMAZING. Wish the meal came with rice, but otherwise, no complaints. I got the passion fruit juice and the initial taste was delicious, but the aftertaste was like sweat, so... it was not enjoyable.
The chips and salsa and also the bowl of queso I had were sooooooo yummy.
Overall, a great place.
Outstanding Local Mexican Restaurant
I chose to eat at the bar. The service was simply outstanding. The chips and salsa was authentic and full of delicious flavors. The fajita quesadilla was excellent choice with refried beans instead of guacamole salad.
My only suggestion is put more cheese on the quesadilla to fully enhance the authentic flavors which it offers.
Prices are moderate yet not expensive
I went to Panchos for the first time yesterday, and I was greeted by an energetic lady who seems to be the owner or manager. Her staff was also friendly and attentive.
I had a great meal and I walked out with a smile on my face.
I recommend if you live in the area to check it out if you haven't done so yet.
Sept 2022 Update:
Visited for dinner. Service was extremely friend and attentive. Parking lot was full, we luckily found the final parking spot.
Do not park next door at the shooting range because they will call to have car your towed.

The menu is awesome, I love the variety on traditional Mexican fare and other items you do not typically see.
The Margaritas rock! We ordered a picture of the house margarita and was great.
Great food, just a little saucy...you can ask for sauce on the side.
I had good service and good food on my visit. Presentation was better the second time around.
The place was not busy and I was able to immediately grab a seat at the bar. Bartender was serving multiple tables but they were able to get to me quickly.
I ordered the Frozen Texas Margarita which was stronger than I expected (in a good way). You can tell they added an extra shot of peach schnapps. Tasted sweet. Bartender asked if I wanted a rim of salt or sugar.
I ordered the Taco Tuesday. It is 2 beef tacos, 2 chicken tacos, and 2 chorizo tacos. There was a lot of food but the taste was lacking. It definitely needed the salsa.
I once lived in the area and would frequent here often. This time I filled up on the great salsa and light crispy chips but the tacos al carbon were flavorful and made a delicious lunch the next day. Also had the biggest jumbo margarita I have ever had!
I love the tree in the back patio. Wish they had music back there. The food is decent and the prices are good. The staff is friendly. The spinach dip was good, unique, never seen queso like that before.
Great atmosphere! We told the hostess we had never been here. He sat us on the patio outside to watch the sun set. Our waiter was informative on every dish we asked about as he was from Mexico City. He had great recommendations! I asked about purchasing my pint glass which he sold after speaking to the owner. I would highly recommend, great service.
My daughter and I stopped here on a whim. Best chance ever!! Lunch menu is great. The steak burrito on the lunch menu is the best thing I have tasted, great price as well. Steak was so tender. My daughters nachos covered the plate, she couldn't finish her meal there was so much food. We will absolutely go back. Restaurant was clean and staff was so friendly and fast. A must GO!! you will not regret it.
