Awesome little place that I would recommend to anyone in the area. Friendly service and very helpful bar staff. Made a person by themselves feel very welcome. The food was great and the drinks kept coming.
A very cool place! Laid back and welcoming atmosphere. They have something for all. Not just Sushi . It is worth a trip if you don't live in the neighborhood. They also have roll your own sushi classes on some saturdays.
I love this bar, these people, so so much. It's my favorite place to throw a show!!!

My husband and I come here at least every other week. The sushi is wonderful, but we we really come for the atmosphere and the service. I love a place that remembers you and greets people like family when they come in! It's the "Cheers" of sushi. Just plain fantastic!

My husband and I had a GREAT 1st time experience. We will make the Bottle Rocket a "must stop" the next time we come to town.

Love to find where the locals are when I travel. Found them & delicious sushi!! This little place has a great energy and warm spirit. Already looking forward to going back next year on our annual ATL Big South volleyball weekend.
Bottle Rocket is a charming spot with a great vibe and even better sushi. I had a spicy tuna roll and whistle pop roll and both were fresh and had excellent taste. The bartenders also did a great job providing good service. There is parking on the street but if you can’t find any there is a parking lot on the other side of the business at No Más Cantina. Overall this is a must go to place if you’re in the downtown area!
Honest review:
We had the sushi, calamari, wantons, beef burger, big tuna burger. The star was definitely the tuna burger.
Our waitress was amazing, plus super cool.
It’s a great little local joint.
Restaurant could use a little maintenance, but I love hole in the wall restaurant!!!

Nice little Neighborhood bar.
The burger was good and the beer was always cold. Had great conversations within minutes.
Really cool neighborhood spot, think a much cooler cheers. Customers were ebjoying themselves, staff was really friendly and made us feel at home. Had calamari and crab Rangoon for appetizers, both were really good. The Aloha roll turned out to be my favorite, really fresh and flavorful. The painkiller cocktail was like a coconut spritzer, light and refreshing. The bill was the best part, ate great for under $100. Will make it a date night staple for sure.
Highly recommend for great laid-back atmosphere, fun drinks, and very tasty food. Nothing fancy, but definitely fresh ingredients for good staples. And reasonably priced! Will 100% be coming back. (Service was truly delightful as well.)
Very nice cozy place for an afterwork meetup or girl chat night. I came for the sushi and was very please by the taste and presentation of the Bottle Rocket Roll. This is great for a quickie linkup
Angie was a great waitress/bartender and really made our dinning experience wonderful. She helped my wife choose a delicious sake and the sushi specialty rolls were awesome! Really enjoyed the decor and painting of the black cat logo. As a child, teenager, and college student I got into much mischief with black cat fireworks and bottle rockets! Not to sound corny but Bottle Rocket Sushi gives your taste buds a bang without blowing up your wallet.

I bought the diy sushi deal on scoutmob for this place and had a great time. The owner and chef were delightful. The deal included a dark and stormy cocktail, crab ragoon appetizer, all the ingredients to make 3 sushi pieces and a sake bomb. Tip you can choose your own seating so sit in front of the chef if you can. This way you get a better view and if you're lucky she will give you her sushi rolls.
I would recommend this place to a friend. It is a small restaurant with great food and service. The poke bowls are delicious!

Today our meal was much better. I had the Big *ss Egg Roll which was vegetarian and it was extremely good. My friend had a beautiful dish I didn't catch his meal. But he said he enjoyed it very much. My take out experience on my last visit was awful. But eating in was back on point. I raised it up from a 1 star to an overall 4- Food 4 stars and Service 5- 5 stars atmosphere-because I don't know if the take out experience has improved. But the service was outstanding our waiter Bartender was incredible- He has been there for over a year at least and he is always pleasant and thoughtful. The Rocket is still flying, maybe the last time I was there it was an off day.

I wish I had taken a picture because what I took home was plain awful. I have been coming to this restaurant since 2013, just for their Sushi. But today what I had was overcooked mushy rice and what tasted like old fish. My order only came to $14 but I paid $20 and didn't ask for change, because I believe in tipping bartenders and waitresses, especially since the last two years have been a total wash for restaurants. I sincerely hate to give them a 1 rating but this place has changed dramatically. The Sushi has taken a nosedive and I'm sorry I can't drive all the way from Conyers for garbage.

Do you like dive bars? Do you like amazing sushi? If you answered yes to one or both of these questions Bottle rocket is your kind of place. Good beers on draft and in cans, awesome service, and a sushi menu that will confirm your faith in humanity. This place is the most lit.
Oh my goodness! Best sushi place I've ever come across, and I'm from Florida. Sushi near me will never taste the same. Mike was the best part of our Atlanta experience. He was the most laid back, charismatic, fun dude and we had the absolute pleasure of having him as a server. We will be back JUST for him. High quality, no wait, it was amazing.
Post soccer-match drinks and sushi. Staff is superb and beer selection and sushi top notch.
