Absolutely great place. I really like to try this new coffee concept and Joe'e Coffee Shop makes this in a successful way. The service and the atmosphere were also great. Fantastic experience.
Joe's is like walking into the Friends tv show coffee shop. The morning team Mookah & Puma provided excellent service and the coffee is on point from intelligensia. Visiting from Seattle, the coffee and pastries make me feel at home! The patrons are nice and want to talk to you. You can easily make a new friend here if you work from your computer.
Price: $ ($5 for a coffee and pastry)
Quality: 4.5/5
Service: 5/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Nice little hideaway spot. Very relaxing, has wifi, desserts and good coffee.
Great coffee and great people!. Great atmosphere, great service, great coffee. I had a dry cappuccino and it was a little on the heavy side, but my boyfriend's mocha frappe was delicious!
Very good. This was my husband and I's little coffee shop for a while (until we moved). The atmosphere is calm and artistic, with a lot of paintings for sale by R.Land. Exposed brick on one side of the shop makes for an old-timey comfortable feeling.
The staff was one of our favorite parts about it. Everyone was friendly and willing to joke with you while waiting.
Coffee is delicious as well! My favorite was a frappe drink I made hot in the winter: White chocolate raspberry mocha latte. Tyler had an iced coffee, which is only $1 refill if you keep your cup.
The back patio is serene in the summer time. There are benches surrounding a koi pond and some lovely trees to shade you. Great little nook to read while sipping coffee.
I wouldn't suggest going there hungry, though. The cases usually don't have much in them (unless you are looking for some dessert).
Love this spot. Cozy and neighborhood(y). Used to study here years ago...the vibe hasn't changed much (a great thing). Delicious lattes with milk alternative options. Ample seating inside and out back. I love the local spots and feel thankful they exist.
Visiting from Toronto and needed a cafe to work. This spot was perfect!
They had extension cords/power bars throughout the cafe, so regardless of where I sat, I would have a power source.
Great croissants & coffee in a relaxing atmosphere.
The staff are also incredibly warm and pleasant.
Love this little dive of a coffee shop. The coffee was great. The Creation of Adam is painted on the ceiling and the staff was cool. What more do you want?
What a rad coffeeshop. It was my first time in and I was taken with the great music taste, awesome atmosphere, back patio and the kind people working. I also love this shop's commitment to social justice. Finally, the latte was delicious. Great spot.
Nice spot to study or work remotely. Chill East Atlanta vibes which I enjoyed.
Very retro-style coffee house the only comments I have are.on the service and overall establishment I do not drink coffee. There are places to sit outside and drink. This is a great place to bring laptop there were plenty of seating, plugs and the wifi was pretty strong! I did order a.vegan carrot cake which was very delicious. Place is cool will come again and recommend.
Everything was a 5 star experience except for the large cappachino I ordered was tiny. Overall the experience and their products were amazing. Best blueberry muffin I think I have ever had. Let them warm it up for you, you’ll love it.
dawg… partner took me here to the first, these place is awesome. definitely worth the price. everything is chill and u can tell the workers and people are comfortable and like being there. definitely coming back. thank y’all :)
UPDATE: Indoor seating now open again!
Joe’s is a pillar of the Atlanta coffee shop scene, of EAV, and embodies the word “establishment.” It’s quirky flare reflects its neighborhood to the core. A business that could not be more deserving of your support.
I stopped in for a coffee & she made my drink perfectly! I like caramel macchiato with an extra shot. Some places give too much milk or not enough caramel - not here! Idk the name of the barista, but she was great & I will be back!
A fun and funky East Atlanta Village coffee shop with an amazing selection of baked goods from Emerald City Bagels right across Glenwood Avenue, along with the largest and flakiest croissants outside of France. The perfect place to relax with a mug of coffee or enjoy an eclectic crowd as you type away on your laptop.
Really delicious coffee and a fantastic array of breakfast eats, flavours, and non-dairy milks. The staff is really kind and full of cool people. It’s a great place to get work done, with plenty of seating, cool art and décor, nice lighting, and really good music. I highly recommend when in EAV!
I came in on a Monday around 5:30p and they were doing open mic stand up comedy. That was pretty cool. My coffee was delicious and the barista was friendly.
What I just witnessed.. this establishment will always get my support and money. Not only was my chai tea amazing, the atmosphere is peaceful, and I absolutely love how they treat the community residents- especially our low income residents. They treat them with dignity and kindness. I absolutely loved it and truly put a huge smile of my face. Humanity exists and this place definitely reflected that.
BY FAR(!) THE BEST COFFEE SHOP I KNOW OF IN ATL. I am a diva about service, food, and context.
Best coffee: Intelligentsia. Best service: the barista are NOT pretentious or lame, which is somewhat rare for a good cafe. Best floor-plan: plenty of room; couches, desks, chairs, tables - indoor and outdoor. Best fellow customers: the customer are regular people - not pretentious, which is rare; the floor-plan gives everyone space to breathe.
Excellent pastries. Excellent programming: they have events I gather. Good parking. Good neighborhood. Decent kombucha.
Great coffee, very friendly staff, I got some espresso beans to take back home with me, great little shop, try it out!
The only complaint I ever have is that sometimes there’s no seating inside, which can be frustrating if you planned on staying to enjoy your good or work on stuff!
I heard One of the coffe people do the OHH WAH AH AH AH thing from that disturbed song an it wasn't bad, also food was p filling. Thanks guys, also love the art in here 👍
This is how you do a coffee shop. My decaf mocha was spot on and the muffin hit the spot. There was a slight wait only because so many people were in line. Definitely worth it. I'd hang out here every day if I could : )
