You don't see "mom & pop" shops like these anymore. This bakery is tucked behind a nail salon and a paint store I think, but when you find it, it's worth it. The front desk was super nice and helped explain what kind of pies they have currently and what's on their road map. They're not limited to just sweet pies (apple, chocolate ganash, peach), but also have chicken pot-pie and other hearty pies. I've enjoyed every slice of every pie I've ever ordered form here. I heard they're opening a new location in Virginia Highlands too. Well deserved and best of luck to this "down home" bakery. Very enjoyable!
Pie is an absolute labor of love and should be priced accordingly. If you don't want to pay for quality and time then you should be purchasing pies from Costco or Whole Foods. I have never had a pie from Mims that I disliked. It's a beautiful shop and I tell everyone to go here.
All hail the mighty pie! Both savory and sweet delight abound here at Pie Shop. No less than 10 flavors daily baked here. Could be way more than that, but due to my usual late afternoon/evening arrival times, flavors have sold out long ago. Regardless of if its the chocolate ganache, which is like the best, creamiest dark truffle with the consistency of a pot de creme in a crust or the quiche, whatever you get here will be delicious. By offering a variety of sizes, full pies, mini pies, bite size pies and slices, they give you an opportunity to try a variety of flavors to determine your favorite. Seasonal offerings insure you never suffer palate boredom. Everyday is a good day for pie here!
I thoroughly enjoy Pie Shop in Buckhead. It's located right across the street from East Andrews and it's definitely the epitome of a whole in the wall but you don't want to miss the eats that come from this place. I love their strawberry rhubarb pie, it's amazing! They will even do custom orders for you. One day on Instagram they let all their followers know that strawberry rhubarb pie will be discontinued after this week so I put in an order for 4 galettes of Stawberry Rhubarb pie. I picked it up just when I said I would and they even threw an extra one in the box because 4 shifted around too much and 5 didn't shift. That was very thoughtful of them. They definitely know their pie. These galettes also froze very well, in fact I just ate my last one last night. Sad day that now I have to wait a whole year before I can eat one again, but I will definitely be back for more pies soon!
I love this shop! Stopped by to try a slice and was blown away. The owner is so friendly and the maple buttermilk pie is now my all time favorite. It is so evident the pies are made with care.
The single best dessert source in Atlanta also has some amazing savory and meat pies too. Everything on the menu is A-MAZ-ING. You can't go wrong after you've walked in the door.
Really good pies but a little pricey for $35 a pop. I would recommend getting some slices as they are filling and more reasonable in price.
The best pie shop in Atlanta. If you are looking for a "wow" experience, this is definitely the place. The sweet potato pie is one of the best I have ever had, You will not be disappointed. The staff is very nice and very helpful .
