Came here for my company holiday party and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service! We all tried a bunch of the appetizers like:
Surin Basket- Loved this one, probably my favorite of the night
Chicken Larb- very good just really spicy!
Cheese rolls- not my favorite but if you like a lot of cheese or cream cheese you will love this
Basil Rolls- I usually love basil rolls but I didn't enjoy the pork inside them, it was a tad dry but the sauce for them was good
Satay- pretty tasty but a tad dry as well
Fried calamari- Was very good and was hot and fresh when we got it!
Now for my entree I played it safe and had the garlic lover's broccoli with chicken and enjoyed it immensely! I also had a spicy tuna roll and it was so good but was spicier than I expected lol would recommend if you love spicy food!
Overall, I would return and try more of the dishes as well as the sushi options as the menu was very large. The servers we had were very fast and super nice and they got us out of there in a timely manner.
Wife and I were in the area and used to eat here back in the day college when it was called Harry and Sons. Happy to say the sushi was still amazing. We had the sushi combo #2, Japanese Old Fashion, Peach Martini, and the vegetable delight with chicken. Everything was great.
I was on Saturday night in this restaurant. I like the food (very good) and the atmosphere but that night I don't know why the waiter was SO RUSH that he literally ripped the plate from us without almost finishing. I don't like that in particular, besides that the place was not so busy to be in such a hurry!
Lobster sushi roll was a hit! I wasn’t expecting so much meat on top but it was fresh and a compliment to sushi! We got the spicy tuna roll and volcano roll as well.
The margaritas were made from mix but were strong and tasted exactly how you’d expect.
I’m really glad to have found a new sushi restaurant with a nice balance of classic and creative rolls. The ingredients were fresh and I was impressed with each roll.
Service was great and we didn’t need a reservation despite it being 7:00pm on a Thursday.
I was introduced to Ocean Wave by a buddy and I have loved it ever since. The food is outstanding as is the atmosphere. I usually sit at the bar and have my food there. I haven’t had a dish I didn’t enjoy. Francis the bartender knows his stuff and is always super cool and seems to love his job. I recommend Ocean Wave 100! I will definitely be going back.
It was great! But I love pad thai, I eat it in every thai place I go all over the country and this one wasn't made with peanut sauce but with sweet and sour sauce, it was different. But overall ok. Sushi was really good.
Nice but relaxed atmosphere, great food! We had the negihama maki and fried rice - soooo delicious! Some of the best yellowtail I've had, very fresh and filled with flavor! Friendly and fast service, a great time and we will definitely be back!
Love that I can order here again! I love the spicy beef salad and red curry potstickers. For rolls, I love the tiger maki and double shrimp roll. The combo with the spicy tuna and double shrimp combo is great for sharing. The sashimi is excellent quality fish. I loved the salmon. The wonton soup is also very good!!
The Love Boat is the thing to get here. I shared it with one other person and we were pretty stuffed so much so that we didn’t order anything else. The miso soup was not good. It was missing something but I can’t put my finger on what it was. The drinks were average. You have to pay to park but the cost isn’t anything outrage. The server wasn’t too friendly but she wasn’t rude either. She would quickly appear with your food and then disappear before you could ask her for anything else.
What a great experience. I joined friends for an evening out and they mentioned that this was their favorite sushi place. Well it's mine too! The sushi was incredible! The atmosphere and service were top notch. I can't wait to visit again.
First time at this neighborhood restaurant and we plan to return. Its a little deceptive from the outside but there is plenty of seating. Our cocktails were generous and the "dim sum" appetizer was delicious. We ordered from the sushi ( Ocena Maki) and Thai ( Massaman Curry)menus and both were really good. The service was excellent and personal, maybe a little language barrier. This is great addition to the neighborhood.
This might be my new favorite spot in Atlanta. Frances, the main bartender is quite the character! He handled a packed bar and tables no problem and had plenty of time to joke around. We told him we always have a hard time getting restaurants to actually take us seriously when we say "make it so spicy it hurts!" It never did. Well Frances had us covered. He pulled out a freezer bag full of dried chili peppers and he said, you sure you want it that hot? Of course it was super hot on our Thai basil tofu but it was such a good burn! Very hot but didn't make you reach for water after every bite, just super flavorful. We got a spicy tuna roll as well that was terrific, and we got some salmon sashimi. Perfect texture and amazingly fresh with just a little bit of that "ocean" taste. I got eel nigri as well. Frances got to know us, and said you should come by next week, I'm sorry ordering uni! (Sea urchin) we came in next week, got the same order (which was just as amazing the second time) and he put out 2 small plates with the sea urchin sashimi in a garlic brown sauce. The taste was incredible! Not too fishy, exploding with a flavor I can't even really describe, kinda like a smoked salmon taste. The texture was interesting, it was kind of like flan, I had to disregard that part because the taste was so good! We now come here probably once a week or more now. Also it's very reasonably priced! Very highly recommended.
We got their sushi boat with the spicy tuna roll, California roll, yellow fin roll, several pieces of sashimi, and volcano roll . . . Wow. The quality and the amount of sushi we got were incredible. The sushi tasted very fresh and came with a variety of sauces my boyfriend and I were excited to try. The restaurant was very clean, the staff were very polite and gave fast service. Great sushi, great prices, great quality.
Fun date night spot around Virginia Highlands. Good drinks, the Pad Thai was delicious! & sushi was fresh. The Yummi yummi roll had a little too much rice. Street parking only.
Got invited by a couple of friends! Great atmosphere, everything we all ordered was very delicious. Showed up later than others, service was still very nice and accommodating.
