We had a wonderful time once we were seated. GREAT !!! Chef Mr. E!!! Yes a facelift would not hurt a bit on the interior .. Reservations are a must!!!very busy place. A cleanup crew immediately after each party has finished would be wonderful.
I see all these negative comments on here but I had the total opposite experience. I came to Benihana for my first time yesterday. Soon as I walked in the door the hostesses were really cool and had me laughing. Then they told me my seating options. A few moments after sitting my waitress came over. She was very attentive and I got my food fast. She even remembered the conversation I had at the hostess desk and write happy belated birthday on my receipt. It was an awesome first experience.
The service has definitely changed over the years. I honestly feel like they should expand this location but the food is still good. I like the Japanese chefs but their aren't many left at this location. Going to the location downtown is better!
The restaurant could use some updating. However, the food was amazing to-go. I got the chicken and shrimp meal for one with fried rice and the garlic butter is a must. The vegetables were tender and the salad was fresh. The customer service I received from take-out orders was phenomenal and everyone I seen come after were greeted and taken care of promptly.
It took approximately 30 minutes for us to be served when we arrived, but our exceptional chef, Chris, went above and beyond to entertain us and ensure we had a fantastic experience. Although the ambiance may be a bit unconventional, I highly recommend requesting Chris as your chef; he guarantees a fun and delicious meal.
Our waiter was new and it took her soooo long to do everything I walked in at 2:36 p.m. waited less than 5 minutes to be seated and it was about 4 when someone came to cook our food but the cook name was Friday he was absolutely amazing and the food was good too it was our first visit but I have always been told to try it but it was definitely not a good first impression but Friday made it worth the wait
Had reservations for 8:15pm. Didn’t get seated til 9:05 after the reservation. Once we were seated we waited another hr til the chef came to our table. The server was fairly consistent but it took 30mins to get water. But the chef Eric did a amazing job that kinda made up for the time we were waiting. Make sure y’all request him. You won’t be disappointed with him.
I would give 5 stars but the wait was still an hour and a half despite having reservations. Once we finally made it in, our experience was absolutely amazing!! The food was delicious and our chef was so awesome! Thank you JB for providing a great show!! Your passion for what you do really comes thru in your work! You made our night and we will be back!!
Our chef was buffalo and I️ must Say it was one of the best experience we’ve had in Atlanta. I’ve newly moved to Atlanta and exploring great restaurants. The chef is genuinely entertaining and very sweet to my children. The manager also came by to ensure we was having a great time. I️ will def suggest this as a family outing
I Came here on Christmas Eve with My cousin. The wait was terrible with or w/o reservations, but Chef Buffalo & Thomas fixed it once we finally did get service. Chef Buffalo did his thing on the food, seasoned to perfection & was a great entertainer. And Thomas was very attentive. Great ending to our night with their exceptional service. Happy Holidays
Mama K and Chef Jordan were amazing! They both brought entertainment and great food to the table. If you ever get a table here request those two specifically! ☺️
We had an excellent experience! Went with my family for lunch and we had an awesome time. The chef’s table side manner was great and the waitress was really attentive. The food was delicious but the prices are inflated, I blame corporate. Overall 10/10 experience
Benihana Restaurant Review
I recently visited Benihana‘s Buckhead restaurant and had an amazing dining experience thanks to our waitress, Momma K, and chef Malachi. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome and excellent service.
Momma K was our waitress for the evening and she was outstanding. She was friendly, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her knowledge of the menu and recommendations for dishes were spot on.
Our chef for the evening was Malachi and we were blown away by the delicious food he prepared for us. From his impressive knife skills to the perfect seasoning on each dish, it was clear that he takes great pride in his work. He even entertained us with some fun cooking tricks while preparing our meal.
Overall Dining Experience
The combination of excellent service from Momma K and amazing food from Chef Malachi made our dining experience at Benihana one to remember. The atmosphere was lively and the staff were all very friendly which added to the overall positive experience.
I love Benihana. The shrimp and steak are great with vegetable rice. I enjoyed my dinner. Delicious as always.
The food was amazing. But there was this loud cook that was screaming and singing terribly and you couldn't hear your own cook or even the people around you. He is a popular cook, I guess because of the energy, but he needs to have a private area people can reserve. He just really ruined the experience for everyone else not at his table. You could see the frustration on other tables' faces as he screamed or slammed his spatula on the grill or on his kart as he moved about. And his singing was more like off tune, drunken karaoke. Honestly, I'm getting more frustrated as I write. He, in fact, ruined a lot of the experience by just being overbearing with how loud he was. I understand the point is to bring energy while you cook, but if it gets to the point where you can't even hear your own cook and your experience is ruined, it's a problem. End of rant. Go when he is not there if you want to hear your own cook or even own friends at the table talk without ear piercing, terrible singing and screaming like a wild banshee. But, again, food was amazing. Servers were a little aloof and had to wave down to get drinks a few times.
Set on the bar side. Enjoyed some hibachi spicy chicken fried rice, sushi, and Passionfruit Lemonade. Food was good, don't forget the garlic butter for the rice!
My first time eating at Benihana, I had a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, there was a "wait," as it's policy to try and have your table full for the eating experience. After about twenty minutes, we were greeted with a chef who got us fed immediately, lol. Everyone from our server, the floor manager, and the hostesses were kind, professional, and overall delightful in our interactions. The food was good, a little too much sodium for me, but I would eat here again and request light on the seasonings, next time I'm in Atlanta.
It was loud but fun, our Chef was entertaining and the food delicious.
I've rated this restaurant before and this experience was much better. Our reservation was for 7:00 and we we were seated at about 7:25. The server took our order, and our salads were out and we waited probably about 10 minutes for the chef. The bathrooms were clean, my last rating I commented on how filthy and dirty the bathrooms were. It looks like they have a dedicated person to clean the bathrooms, definitely a different experience from the last time. The food was good and no complaints here.
