If you're looking for a great spot to go rock climbing, Stone Summit Climbing Atlanta is the place for you. They have a small bouldering section because there is a dedicated bouldering gym nearby, but the staff is friendly and they offer tours for first timers. There are tons of top rope and auto belay options, as well as a small gym upstairs for weight lifting and cardio. Overall, it's a great place to get your climb on!
Reasonably large climbing gym in the greater Atlanta area. They are a chain with 4 locations in and around the city. This location has both rope climbing and bouldering so it’s a plus. The staff were super friendly and accommodating
There are a ton of beginner routes and plenty of autobelays for that area. I see a lot of kids having fun. In general the grades are on the softer side but that’s not to take away from the creative route setting. They have something for everyone.
They also have an annex parking which is slightly down the hill from the building and can fit plenty of cars and vans.
The place is good like all the other stone summits. But not so great for younger kids though. My 4 year old could not climb the dinosaur slide/climb they have which is supposed to be for little ones. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
I signed up for the belay lesson with my friend and it was a really pleasant experience. We got to stay and explore after the belay lesson finished. The instructor was really friendly, too. There are many routes with different dificulty levels, some self-climb routes also. And an area for free climb without rope. Excited to come back!
I had such a nice experience here! I’ve never been rock climbing before so I didn’t know what to expect. I’d definitely say go early because it gets crowded/busy quickly! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. I was given the first time orientation like everyone else and he gave so much detail. I would love to go back again!!
My favorite climbing gym in Atlanta! It has both rope and bouldering, and pilates and yoga classes on certain days.
Very fun place to go climb. There's a ton of bouldering, top rope, lead, and auto belay. Small traditional gym upstairs. I paid $28 for the day pass w/ shoes and harness.
This is my favorite climbing gym in Atlanta. Stone summit has super friendly staff that will not only get you what you need, but will also introduce you to the facilities and everything they offer. If you’re new they’ll personally walk with you and “show you the ropes” of the place and make sure you feel welcomed! There’s routes here for all levels of experience, from beginner to experienced. There’s routes for lead climbing, auto belay, regular belay, and even an entire separate section for children to practice and for bouldering! The area itself is actually very large and includes sections for you to sit and relax with friends or go jogging on treadmills to get a workout. You can easily hangout here with a good group for a whole day and not realize it :)
The bathrooms are very clean too and there are lockers for you to store belongings as well.
Great gym! I’ve been a member for about 3 months and cycle between the main and bouldering gyms, lots of ways to mix it up and always work on new problems. Friendly staff and clean facilities.
It's Stone Summit. The walls are pretty epic. There are lots of auto belays. The bouldering area is reserved for ages 16+. There are a few vending machines. There is a speed wall with two halves and a nice systems board. Upstairs there is a kid friendly spot for birthday parties. Five stars will return.
Top notch facility. One of the best climbing gyms I have ever been to.
Great staff, great route setting, frequent route setting, great location.
Great place! The children's area is limited with just a dino slide and the workout area upstairs is limited as well. Some of the workout equipment did not function properly, but it is a rock climbing gym, so go for climbing.
Really cool rock climbing gym. I’ve only been to three, but this one is definitely the best and definitely the biggest. Has 3-4 auto belay walls downstairs and 7-8 upstairs. I try to go every time I visit Atlanta. Can go by yourself and have a blast. Also has a small gym upstairs and a bouldering room on one side. See photos for the perfect male physique and my Spider-Man girlfriend climbing up walls.
