Got take-out, which took an age, but sat at the bar and enjoyed wide selection of root beers. Chicken burrito was excellent - the sweet potato added a lot of flavour. Some good curries that we didn't get to try. Nice staff and cool interior, might try to stop for longer next time.
Best shrimp tacos I have ever had!! The food is amazing and the service is outstanding! This has become one of our favorite family restaurants!! Great happy hour every day from 3-6 too!
I had never had Caribbean food until a friend showed me this place and wow the burritos are great! It is a little expensive BUT, the burritos and tacos are a fair price(9 bucks). There is also a super cool Asian style floor table you can sit at.
I kept smelling the food from across the motel I was staying at. I finally walked over and I'm glad I did. I had the mango glazed chicken. I'd recommend the chicken. Everyone I know was telling me to get the fish tacos but I went for the catfish instead. Catfish was bomb. The service is also excellent. My waiter was on target with dessert recommendations. I cant wait to come back.

Very friendly and knowledgeable bartender. Tasty brews including Auburn's own. Gourmet chips, Smokey salsa and perfectly grilled salmon with mango salsa. A great stop along I-80.
Different flavored food then you probably had before. Not your average dinner. it has more flavor and things you would never expect would taste good together are fantastic. The atmosphere is amazing as well as the workers. they're so friendly and helpful. Ask questions about what you might want to order ,they know everything about the food they'll be serving you and if they can't answer it they will bring over the owner, he's always on site and he's amazing. A real treat for your taste buds and a great place to meet friends. Has a full bar with local beers on tap. Makes for a great night out or they can handle a group of up to 30 in the back room. A really great experience if you've never been there. My favorite is the shrimp tacos and my husband's favorite is the catfish or the jambalaya. He also tried the chicken enchiladas the other night and said they are really terrific. A must-try when you are going through Auburn.
I will always love this restaurant, regardless of how much of their menu they can offer or whether or not you can enjoy their chill atmosphere. I was so sad to hear about them potentially closing for good, so when I found out they were open again, I did not hesitate to go support a great group and get some amazing food. There is nothing like it that I know of in the area and you literally can't go wrong no matter what you order! They are also completely on top of gluten allergies as the owner also deals with it so there is no worry when we eat here with our family! I will always support Joe Caribe and their delicious food!plus, they are selling jars of their delicious mango hot sauce right now! Hands down one of my favorite places to go in auburn. I hope that they continue to thrive through all of the chaos!
Went to lunch today with my husband and 2 friends for the first time. Since I have a food allergy I spoke to the chef and asked if he could prepare something without that ingredient and we decided on a salad with grilled shrimp. It was well seasoned with perfectly cooked shrimp. The other 3 in our party had fish tacos which they all enjoyed very much. Our waiter was attentive and delightful. I will recommend this place to all my friends and will be back soon.
We saw their billboard advertisement as we were coming back from Sugar Bowl. So glad we stopped. Food was fantastic! I had the Salmon tacos and my wife had curry shrimp burritos. Best we ever had. Even the black beans and rice that came with the meal was great. I live in the Sac area and we will travel the 30 minutes back there regularly to try the other items on the menu. Food was 5 stars!
Great, friendly service! Food was perfect temperature. Fresh tasting. Limeade is delicious! Spinach empanadas are yummy, but they need to be a little more "fried" or cooked. Great mixture of flavors for tacos! NOT greasy/oily which is good. Nice ambiance! Overall highly recommend.

This is one of our favorite restaurants and have been coming here for the last couple years. The food is amazing and you really won't go wrong with anything you order. Our favorites are the shrimp tacos and Curry Noodles with shrimp. So good! We used their party room for a birthday celebration, and everything went very smoothly and efficiently. Highly recommend this place.
What a great spot! Cool and inviting decor and very interesting menu. I just had a salad (no carb day 😒) but it was fresh and tasty, with an orange vinaigrette. The beer selection is extensive, and my party had the pork tacos, which looked amazing. Will definitely have to come back!
Awesome food, great service. Tons of gluten free options and the staff won't treat you like you're inconveniencing them. Partly this must be because so much of their menu is gluten free by default. The pickled carrots and the slaw are something special. I particularly like the shrimp or fish tacos, but have snagged bites of the mashed sweet potatoes (with coconut milk!) and the strip steak and they are delicious too!
Got the chicken burrito, chips and guacamole and it was very good. Friends got the skirt steak and it was fantastic, juicy, tender and extremely flavorful. It came with fries that were crazy tasty. Also tried the pork burrito, the flavor of the pork was so good and everything mixed perfectly. Definitely going back as soon as possible!

Great flavors and spice combinations. Love the tacos and the pork mojo sandwich, but pro-tip, get the pork burrito WITH shrimp.
Always get an extra side of slaw and an extra side of pickled carrots.
The short rib dinner is great too.

DELICIOUS FOOD. Yum yum yum! I loved the creamy coconut spinach. The slaw was awesome. Portions are generous. Trevor gave us excellent customer service! The ambiance is very casual so if you like fancy, be forewarned ;). Great meal!
The food is exceptional. The people are friendly and quick to get you anything you may need. I had the fire roasted artichoke then yellow curry noodles with prawns. The bread pudding was all fresh and all the food was out if this world. Don our waitress was wonderful. The price for the food was too low for the quality you get and prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity. I can't wait to be back. Everything is made from scratch. My boyfriend is a good cook and he was highly impressed too.
