Consistent wonderful food and staff. Stopped by for a quick meal on our way through town and it was still the best since we moved in 2008!!!👍🏻👍🏻
Good food at reasonable prices with great service and a killer view from the outside dining area if weather is permitting. Can't beat it if you like airplanes or are just looking for something a little different. Just remember they don't accept credit. It's cash or check. They do have an ATM inside that charges a small fee.
I was there with my family Feb 2018 for breakfast and we enjoyed the food and the service.
Great food, but the main thing is that Connie and her staff (many of her family and old friends among them) are just the nicest, friendliest people you will ever meet. They really care about their customers, and know hundreds of regulars by name. I lived in Auburn for 10 years, and Wings is one of the things I missed the most when I left. I never drive from the Bay Area to Donner without stopping for a hug and a favorite from the menu. By the way, this is a squeaky clean restaurant with fresh and delicious food. Check it out and it will become one of your favorites too!
I just love this place! Everything is great! Grilled turkey Ortega is my favorite!
Awesome food and service. Staff are super friendly!
Great food, service and good hospitality. You can't go wrong here.
I often order Brian’s three egg omelet that includes bacon, tomato, and avocado with a dab of sour cream of top. On my last visit I just went for the standard eggs over medium, bacon and country potatoes with an English muffin. The four slices of bacon are a bacon lover’s dream; thick, lean and crisp.
Best bloody Mary around! Food was amazing too- especially the onion rings! Fun atmosphere and great spot to relax and watch the airplanes on a weekend day for brunch. Great prices and large portions, and awesome service. Highly recommend checking this spot out!
Great food! Was very tasty and enjoyable plus how can you not like the atmosphere! And the portions were huge!
Would definitely fly into Auburn again to eat here. The only thing was that the food took a long time to come out so will allocate longer stopover next time.
The best restaurant in the first half of the year with delicious food and perfect scenery. This is a restaurant that I want to visit every day if it is close to the street. The smiles of the staff were also really great.
My step-dad was pilot and airplane guy, so I have been coming to this spot for the past 20 years. It is lovely to sit on the patio and watch the planes come and go. I always go for lunch, and the food is consistent and delicious. I love the half sandwich and half Connie Salad with a side of fries. Definitely a cherished spot!
We met a friend for Sunday brunch. Were seated very quickly outside as friend is avid aviator and wanted to watch the activity. He was not disappointed. We were sheltered from the wind and offered a heater which nearby diners had requested. Quite a wait for food, however, beverages were brought and refilled during wait. (Maybe some mini muffins would ease the wait, just saying). Food was good, hot and abundant. Loved home fried potatoes. Very relaxed atmosphere...we enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.
you can sit next to an active little airport! the planes and helicopters are quite close. my burrito was quite good and huge. I asked for the potatoes to be done crispy and they did. yum.
Met my friend wh I hadn't seen for 18 years for lunch. I had a fabulous chefs salad, small. It was huge, fresh and delicious. My friend got 1 egg, 1 pancake and bacon. Huge pancake! I for got to take pictures of the food!. I did take a picture of the kitty that she gave me!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. I've been going here for decades. It's at the Auburn Airport and has a cool aviation decor which I love. A lot of history is represented in this little place and a lot of good memories for me. The food is outstanding. The service is excellent. I will be back again soon.
Four adults and a one year old went for brunch and sat on the patio even though it was a little warm they had large fans going which helped. The food portions are generous and it was so yummy we didn't take much home because we ate it all. My one year old had half an avocado and one scrambled egg but also some of my fries and grandpas french toast. We all enjoyed watching the planes and helicopters take off and land. Service was friendly and helpful too! Perfect spot for locals and visitors alike.
Went here because my son wanted to see a plane take off and or land. We were also rewarded with delicious food and generous portions. I had the Cobb salad and it was loaded with bacon. Our server Katrina was super helpful and nice. Also a cheese burger, with a mountain of fresh crispy French fries. We also had a chicken pesto sandwich with a large portion of reach fruit on the side. The interiors has kitschy stuff with a old timely kitchen aesthetic. Would come back again. The outdoor area was too hot on the day we came but we did catch 3 Cessna take offs and a helicopter execute a sick approach and hover less than 20 feet off the deck.
Such a nice place with a great view of the airport and surrounding community. Service and food was good, friendly and fast.
I was very surprised to see so many people in line waiting for a seat. My first visit was on a Friday at lunchtime. I ordered a burger and asked for medium well. The burger was very good, but cooked well. Our server was very nice and did a great job.
We returned the following morning for breakfast right when they opened. I ordered pancakes with eggs and bacon. Two of the three pancakes were cooked well, but the third pancake was slightly burnt on the bottom. We had the same server as the day before, and she was great. Great little restaurant if you are in the area.
We love Wings, it’s probably the reason we make Auburn a 2 night stop when traveling in our RV. Huge portions (today was half order of the ‘Spud Tacular’ sans salsa) & delicious! We love watching the planes & staff is really friendly. We enjoy sitting outside - plenty of seating & our chiweenie can be with us.
Great local breakfast and lunche hangout. Waitresses are friendly and the service is awesome. The outside covered patio is next to the Airport so you can watch the small planes taxi, take off and land . Been coming here for 34 years!
Servers were all very nice. The place was very homely and felt personable. It felt like the kind of place that has a lot of regulars. Linguicia sausage was very delicious!!
I've been coming to Wings infrequently whenever I'm on the Auburn area for decades. The food is always consistently good and the servers are friendly and attentive. It's a throwback to how restaurants were before corporate giants took over.
We flew in for breakfast. They were already busy, a 10 minute wait and we sat in the patio. Then it took 45 minutes just to get food and with two small children that was miserable. But the staff was friendly and the food was good, especially their espresso menu coffee. Also we had trouble finding transient parking, it's the blue tie downs across from the restaurant. The ones right by the patio are for the flight school.
