We stayed at one of the inns up the street, we had dinner here and sat out on the patio. The view of the lake was beautiful. Food and service excellent. It was a little cool out so the hostess turned on the heaters we didn't even ask. We also had breakfast here twice and the same great service. The grounds are well kept and there is an area by the water with chairs to sit and enjoy the sun set

An exceptional experience. If you are not staying in Aurora, this restaurant is worth every mile driven to reach it. An outstanding multicourse prix fixe menu (available with wine pairings) and an outstanding wine program featuring a long list of wines by the glass. The culinary skills were matched in by a very attentive front of house team. A warm welcome, menu orientation, flawless delivery of drinks and courses, all at an unrushed cadence. As OpenTable diners we appreciated the ability to book in advance and communicate with the hosts. 1833 Kitchen and Bar has landed on our "consider this" list when booking a stay in the Finger Lakes. Well done. Footnote, I wish I had taken more photos of the food and restaurant environment, yet the absence of those indicates where our attention was placed.

My husband and I went there for our 1 year anniversary. All of the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend the rocket soup for the first course. I don’t remember our waiters name, but he was very knowledgeable about the wine pairing. We sat outside and it was beautiful! The waiter even got some great pictures of us with the Sunset.

Stayed at the Inn and enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at this location. Beef tenderloin for dinner was superb paired with a local cab franc, and the oatmeal for breakfast was perfect on a cool morning.

When we arrived for our reservation there was a sign at the desk saying the server would be right back to seat us. We waited almost 20 minutes for someone - the lined backed up and people behind us were even asking the inn desk if anyone was working at the hostess stand to which they replied "they should be with you at any minute" and we continued waiting. Once we were seated things went smooth. Food was good but not deserving of 5 stars in my opinion. Chicken although flavorful, it was dry. The French toast had an odd flavor that I couldn't place my finger on and definitely wasn't listed on the menu, maybe a batter seasoning? Fries were the best thing in my opinion that I tried. My guests enjoyed their dishes. Love that they serve local wines here. Tried the semi-dry Riesling and it was PERFECT. Beautiful view of the lake. May or may not be back.

Had a great brunch, service was excellent and food was great. Baked french toast was amazing, more like a bread pudding but excellent. Potatoes were phenomenal! The rest of our meal was ok, good but not quite worth the price tag. Coffee, latte, eggs, and steak were just mid. Our steak was a little overcooked. The atmosphere was very "hotel breakfast area." They had two very large groups that were quite loud, overall I got the feeling that there were too many tables in too little space. We will definitely be back to try again when it is less busy.

Wow, what an experience. This was one of the best experience ever - the food, the service and the ambiance. Incredible. Everyone was professional to the highest level. It has rejuvenated my outlook that high quality service and cuisine is possible in Upstate New York! The New Years Eve Prixe Menu was perfect. The highlights for me were the Mushroom Dashi with the poached black bass and the Waygu Striploin perfectly cooked medium rare! By the way, it was embarrassing to hear a lady behind us ordering that medium well - yuck. We also had the Osso Buco Venison. It was slightly dry but tasty. And the desserts-yummy! Especially the Chocolate Raspberry Bombé! Wow! The staff was so well trained. I commend the management doing a phenomenal job instilling the great service standard! Kudos! I loved 1833 and will go again and recommend to all that want to have a top notch experience! Thank you Aurora Inn!

We dined here twice, once for dinner and the other for brunch. (During the fall menu) Dinner - everything was delicious, loved the four course meal and the Brew of Requirement Mocktail is delicious! Brunch - we had the crab cake and pumpkin French toast. Both were very good! I would say skip Brunch but Dinner is a must!

A great Thanksgiving experience. First, ambience- a traditional Virginian-like dinning room that is well preserved, warm, classy and very well maintained. The greeters, waitresses, runners were very corteous, speedy, and ready to help without being in your face at all times. Second, for food, the Thanskgiving dinner is a set menu with 3 different options for appetizers, entrée and dessert. The srhimp appetizer was delicious, a great blend of olive oil, garlic and a hint of spice. My main dish was the steak, very well prepared at medium rare by default, a layer of manicured mashed potatotes, salted mushrooms and a sauce with a hint of red pepper. This dish was absolutely fantastic. My dessert was the pecan pie, done as it should, reminiscent of home baked pies. They have a vast selection of wines. We paired with a local Cab, which was too light for a Cab and for the rich meat. Reco to go European or West Coast reds. All in all, highly recommend this place for a special occasion. They also offer verious table sizes and arrangements, so your celebration can be something special, like ours was!

We had dinner on a Thursday evening and the only thing different from a normal dinner was that the staff was wearing face coverings, but other than that, it started as a "normal" dining experience.... and then we had our server show up with amazing warm bread and a caramel butter that was incredible - I could have made a meal out of that - glad I didn't because our meal was the Grilled Bistro Steak, which my friend just loved, the potatoes were crispy and perfect. I had the special with was a bone in chicken with a creamy sauce and carrots in a sweet glaze that were tender and perfect and a cornbread stuffing that rivals Thanksgiving! For dessert, we ordered the apple ganette (basically a tart, but oh so much more than a simple tart!) with a vanilla ice cream and a raspberry glaze... We were happy and stuffed! The service was amazing, the restaurant was socially spaced out, we sat by the fire (and the bar) with a beautiful view of the lake out the back patio which was lit up with firefly lights. Beautiful meal in a beautiful setting with amazing service. And then we came back on Saturday morning for brunch. We sat in the same space, by the fire place, now the bright sunlight glistening off the Lake's water. We split the Applewood Smoked Bacon Omelet, with a creamy swiss cheese and tender mushrooms, plus a melt-in-you-mouth hash brown side and an English muffin. Then we also ordered the French toast and I thought I knew what French toast was, but this thing was not what I imagined - it was oh so much more than that. It was more like a cake in its thickness and it was covered in a maple cream cheese, with a cranberry compote; they included a side of maple syrup but it was not needed - this was a thing of beauty and it melted in your mouth! We didn't need to eat again until dinner! The service, again, superb. Will definite visit again and most definitely dine here again!

We had a great seating outside at sunset and it did not disappoint. The staff was shorthanded and still provided great servive. The food and drinks were up to everyone's expectations. Alex was on point with service throughout the meal. This is our second dinning experience here and I highly recommend this place.

Had a wonderful birthday celebration for my fiancée and two friends here. Every member of the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, with several remembering it was a birthday and giving their best wishes (along with a candle in the dessert). The interior is beautiful and cozy, and the food was incredible - we loved everything from the bread and the brie appetizer special to the mains and dessert. I would highly recommend for a nice evening out!

Great food, great servers, but I wish we were seated by another party. Lots of rude patrons, just unnecessarily cruel, I felt for the staff. It would have been nice to see their employer do something to support them. There was definitely no need to treat them poorly.

Absolutely perfect in every way. The food is creative and delicious, the lakefront setting is divine and the wine list is exceptional.
