My favorite place to eat breakfast every time I come to Denver I always stop in waitresses are great food is so much you can hardly finish your plate great great place
Sam's No 3 is conducive to living your best life, especially if your best life involves patios, good drinks, and burritos the size of dachshunds. I recommend the Rockies burrito with a 20oz pour of Hopricot for a chaser.
Quick, easy, delicious breakfast! Lots of great deals on the fun, diverse menu. It still has all of the classics in generous portions. Will return!
LOVED!!! I'm not a huge fan of hot chili but the Denver Skillet with their green chili sauce was wonderful!!! We all loved our entrees - it was an excellent welcome to Colorado meal!! Highly recommend.
Man oh man! As far as diner-ish places go, SAMs is the place to go. Definitely get your money's worth of food (I usually need a go-box for leftovers). The staff is super friendly and always strike up conversations to make your day that much enjoyable.
Try any of the "Colorado" dishes, you won't be disappointed.
We enjoyed the downtown location so much that we sought out another in aurora. We were not disappointed. The fried cheese curds were bite size, crispy and yummy. I had the souvlaki chicken sandwich. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the red onion and tomatoes were fresh. The pita it was wrapped in was warm and the tzatziki dressing was tart and loaded with dill, which I LOVE. So far I think the little Sam's No. 3 chain can do no wrong
HUGE portions! The chorizo, egg, and potato tacos are tasty, and the sauce that comes with it is spicy, so watch that if you're sensitive to heat. The waffles have extra vanilla (I think) in them, which makes them DELICIOUS. The French fries are battered; great taste! It gets busy, so be prepared to wait! Everyone is leaving happy, so you know it's good! (Great place to go after barhopping, but in my opinion the mimosas had too much pulp.)
This is an established place in Denver and it is very good. The only reason that I don't rate it any higher is that the restaurant is sort of dirty, especially the carpeting. I understand that it is supposed to be a diner, but is more upscale than a dinner and should, therefore, perform better upkeep of the restaurant. Lastly, I hate to complain about pricing, but they are about 25% higher across the board than they should be. People keep paying it, but they really ought not to. The average entree is about $10-12. In my opinion, that's a lot for breakfast/diner food.
Good solid food at good prices.
I like diners. I'm a big greasy breakfast fan & love to go out for it about once a month. There are a few Sam's locations and we've gone to this one a few times since it's near my office where I often have to drop things off on the weekend.
My husband gets breakfast burritos. He tries a different one every time, but likes the Smacdown burrito the best. It has tater tots, so it must be awesome. I like the pancake sandwich with eggs and sausage. I've also had a couple good omelets, my favorite being the Popeye omelet with spinach bacon & cheddar.
The prices and portions as well as the taste is much better than some of the trendier breakfast places in town *coughsnoozecough* and we've always had good service.
This place has great Tex-Mex and American food. Our family love breakfast and can get it here all day. There are daily drink and food specials and they are always busy on the weekends. We call ahead to put our name on the wait list but the it is worth a little wait. The prices are a great, the services are friendly and they value military members with a discount.
We have eaten there twice now. Excellent both times! I have tried and loved the Havana Burrito and the Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich. My wife had the Veggie Melt and the Buffalo Burger, she loved them both. We will definitely be back! However we will not go on the weekends. It's way too busy.
What's not to like? Great diner fare in a cool atmosphere with excellent service. Try the pork green chili cheeseburger or basically anything with the green chili. Fantastic!
Mac 'n Cheese Dip. Mac & cheese, chorizo, onions, and pork green chili used as a dip for tortilla chips? I fell in love with this dish instantly.
THE best breakfast this side of town. Hearty meals that you'll need a nap from! Best biscuits n gravey I've ever had. It gets busy, so be patient. Well worth the wait!
Great heavy breakfast!. I've been here too many time to recall. Only for breakfast though. Each time I've been just as impressed as the first time I was here. The food is delicious and certainly plentiful. The food comes piled high on very large plates. Enjoy!
Sam's no.3 is truly a Colorado landmark. Been around for three generations and they just keep going. Ginormous portions of the best tasting food. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My family chooses it most meals we eat out because there is something for everyone on the menu. By the way, a chili cheese dog should be smothered in so much sauce that you need a knife and fork! Trust me you'll love this place. ( by the way it is worth the wait on a weekend mornig)
The food is excellent! Try the new menu items added this week.
Sam's #3 has never dissapointed us! We have been going there religously for more than 5 years. They have such an amazing variety of food. Breakfast all day and night, fantastic coney island style american, amazinf mdxican and some great greek! My moms and her sisters and brothers frequented the original Sams downtown when they were kids and my aunt raves about how the red chili is exactly the same now as it was then. I reccomend it 150%!!
