It is one of the nice spots for breakfast in Austin. I adore their rustic-chic interior and the pleasant atmosphere. The service is friendly, and you can certainly find something delicious for breakfast. I highly recommend trying the ham & egg tartine – it's fantastic! The crispy bread, topped with herb aioli, and the combination of ham and Swiss cheese pair perfectly with your morning coffee.
I recently visited this coffee shop, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. The avocado toast was absolutely delicious, but the chai tea latte left me a bit disappointed due to its overpowering cardamom flavor. The cashier's attitude was less than friendly, which was a downside, but the rest of the staff were incredibly welcoming and made up for it.
Great ambience for brunch. I ordered crab benedict, which came with a bowl of fruit. Both were made with fresh ingredients and tasted excellent. The latte was also good.
They also have a lot of fresh baked goods and local products to purchase.
One thing I would like to see improved is a greeting upon entering. We had to look around wondering where to go. From the time we placed our order though, service was friendly.
Was my go to spot nearly every day when I lived around the corner from here. Place is awesome! Old school building. A bit tight, but worth it for the cool atmosphere. Outdoor seating is super tight. Can’t say enough good things about the food and drinks. Miss this place quite a bit. Not in the neighborhood anymore. Try the French toast and thank me later.
Stopped in for a breakfast biscuit sandwich and coffee. Fairly priced. Sandwich hit the spot. Kind service.
We tried this place twice while visiting Austin. It has a laidback, cozy ambiance and friendly staff. The food is great and there are a lot of options. The shrimp and grits are delicious as well as the pastries we tried. I would definitely recommend it for brunch or a coffee break but it does get busy sometimes.
No sign of Sandra but made up for it with some tasty brunch! Homely vibes and nice food, choice of two seating areas, both slightly lacking in atmosphere though.
Some of the best French toast ever. Tons of both breakfast and lunch options
Sunday, October 1, 2023. Incredible! Blueberry muffin was the best I ever had. Lemon cheese cake pastry was amazing. Latte was off the chart.
This was a great spot for a quick lunch! Get the half sand which and half salad combo! It’s enough food. (I asked girl if they had any combos and she said no, then I read the menu and saw they were!!!) anyways, it was a good option from more expensive restaurants around here. Something light and tasty. Combo was $13 and cup of soup $4. I had spent $75 the previous night at a restaurant in the canopy hotel and the food wasn’t worth it. So I didn’t wanted to make the same mistake for lunch.
Ok, I'll admit I came here because I heard it was Sandra Bullock's restaurant, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Carmel latte and it was excellent. Breakfast options looked great but we got in late and tried the sandwiches. Both the Roast Beef Bleu and the Reuben were really good. Friendly staff and warm atmosphere.
Good lattes. We took combos of soup and salad/ sandwiches. Both the onion soup and the tomato basil soup were good. Bakery items looked tasty as well, but we haven’t tried. Unfortunately they didn’t have the full menu when we were there. Couple of tables outside and many more inside. The bathrooms were super clean.
I am always looking for the best avocado on toast and this seriously is one of my top ones! The staff is friendly cause I honestly wanted to try something else the “Shallah French Toast” even the employe suggested and offered me that I could try a piece but I still decided on the avocado ad no regrets cause next time and I will be back and try the French Toast. The ambiance is perfect as there is even a flower shop inside. Definitely a stop to seat and have breakfast, lunch or just a cup of coffee.
My gf and I both ordered a turkey sweet sandwich and shared a bowl of tomato soup (because as you can tell it’s pretty big). The sandwich is on a slightly larger croissant bun. A sweet sauce and bacon, it’s one of my favorite sandwiches in Austin. The tomato soup is a great addition to this sandwich.
Favorite dessert there is probably my the Golden Egg.
We have been happy customers of Walton’s for years now. The food is great and we seldom leave without something from the bakery.
Yummy! We visited Walton's twice during our visit to Austin! Wonderful service and exceptional food! They close early, so plan accordingly, you don't want to miss this restaurant on West 6th St
Such a beautiful little old town feel spot. Tucked into busy W 6th street you feel like you went back in time. You can't go wrong with any menu item and the pastry case is top notch. They have some home made coffee syrups too. It's a great casual but elegant brunch spot. Walk in only, order at the counter, so it's easy to pop in without having to make reservations.
We stopped here because we got a discount thru our hotel. The staff was excellent. The Bistro is cute inside. I love the plant decor. We both ordered the breakfast tacos. I had one meat and one veggie. My buddy had two veggies. The eggs were light and fluffy and they had a decent amount of meat /veggies in the tacos. My friend had an iced coffee and it was a nice pick me up. We also both got a bakery item. I had the matcha and honey macaroon and she had the Danish. Both were delicious. The Danish was light and fluffy instead of being dense and I loved it. If your looking for something light this is a perfect stop.
