Nice dinner spot nearby the convention center to people watch. The food was solid, nothing that blew us away; avocado fundido was good but nothing special, the buffalo pickles did come with some interesting sauces. Props to the bartender for some well made and unique drinks. I did find the bite sizes desserts the right portion size for someone who typically doesn't like too much dessert. Those looking for a substantial dessert might need to order a few.

I had just one dish... Salmon over rice with Asian flavors. It was light, cooked as I asked (rare), and interesting. Just enough fish sauce, just enough pork pieces. Nicely crisped skin. The chilled red wine on tap was perfect.

We stumbled on SBK Downtown on Christmas Eve. Lucky for us. No waiting. Fast, friendly service. Superb food & atmosphere. Started w/ some Buffalo Fried Pickles & a real sugar Sprite. The fried pickle spears were some of the best in all of Austin. Not much spice but great flavor. The meals came out just in time. Two Congress burgers w/ Black Truffle Pomme Frites, cooked perfectly and very full of flavor. An excellent choice anytime. An SBK Benedict w/ some of the best poached eggs, ever. And Steak Frites w/ scrumptious steak and lovely salad. Every item was exceptional in taste and full of flavor. Stop by for a drink, brunch or meal. This is a must for us to return to and will try SBK Domain!

We checked Second Bar+Kitchen for a late brunch on Saturday. Three of us decided to split the avocado fundido and a white pizza. We all ordered a cocktail each. The food was wonderful! The fundido was a take on salsa using avocado and chorizo and even though I am not a fan of avocados, it was delicious and full of flavour. The pizza was delicious. Even without any meats, the simplicity of the cheese and aragula on the white sauce accmopanied by the dressing made it delightful and light, perfect for the Texas heat. The cocktails were underwhelming. The gin+jam was very gin-heavy which is good for fans but overpowering for others. The Green River (I believe it was called) had an odd taste and I wasnt a fan. The hibiscus one was good but overly sweet. Overall, Second is a great place for brunch and their food is delicious, however I would refrain from ordering their cocktails.

I went there for my Birthday dinner and it was great the food was super fancy like I could barely understand half the things on the menu but like it was all delicious and didn’t completely broke gang me. The servers were really awesome and did a good job translating the menu. The atmosphere is really modern and clean great for pictures. The food was delicious everyone enjoyed it and they even had some pretty bomb vegan options so that was great.!i would definitely come here again but keep in mind it’s also a bar my friends and I had some trouble with someone who had obviously overindulged but the manager took care of it! Other than that absolutely amazing.

The black and bleu pizza might be the best specialty pizza I’ve ever had. The burger was perfect. The service was friendly and attentive. A little bit of a pricier spot but this place was 10/10. Very chic interior. We had dinner and then walked over to 3ten which was ideal.

Wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner. A lively environment with modern decor and comfortable booths. We ordered the baked Brie. Delicious. She ordered the bianco pizza with Italian sausage. Delicious. I had the congress burger, medium rare. Delicious. Then we ordered a plate of dessert bites, and they surprised us by writing "Happy Anniversary" in chocolate! (See picture.) Would come again.

While on my little weekend getaway, I searched for a quality restaurant offering really good seafood. We found this place in downtown Austin which was located adjacent to a hotel. They offered convenient valet parking which is always nice. I absolutely loved the ambiance and our waitress was such the cutie. She was professional and had the perfect attitude for the job and a generous tip 😊. I ordered the Seared Faro Island Salmon and my date ordered the Steak Fritas. On my word!!! The food was sooooooo good! My fish was perfectly cooked (medium well) and my sides is still causing me to salivate. My date really enjoyed his steak which was tender and tasty. His only complaint was that the salad he ordered did not come out with his meal. Our waitress was wonderful and made sure to let the kitchen staff know that the salad was “missing”. The guy that brought the salad out didn’t seem too happy about his apparent...mistake. Otherwise, everything was superb and if I’m ever in Austin again, I will definitely visit this place.

My wife and I had their food on our wedding night at the Archer and this was their in house food. We decided to go to their Austonian location for our two year anniversary. The food and service was outstanding. From their deep fried buffalo pickles, to the burger and pizzas, to the delicious desserts. What a great place for a date.

Everyone on the menu looked amazing. We went with the salmon and brie and they were both fabulous. The strawberry shortcake was good but not the best we have had.

Well crafted foods and mostly good service are what makes this place. The simple blistered shishito peppers are a good way to get digestive juices flowing and the well curated cheese plate serves one well as an appetizer or perhaps a cheese course after the meal. Menu items are carefully prepared and plated, and any problems are quickly fixed (not all the wait staff are responsive. At a recent visit we sat outside for 20 minutes before getting any response). A good place to go for sure.

Visited during Thanksgiving and there was not wait (usually there is). The advertised Turkey dish was not a disappointment. The atmosphere is cozy and is family friendly. This location is in the heart of downtown so after eating one is within walking distance of shops and entertainment.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The food was terrific, the atmosphere was fabulous, the service was attentive. They have an excellent menu with a great selection. I had the arugula and beet salad ( I added salmon) hubby had steak, friends had the trout, and cheese board. The cheeseboard was excellent with 4 different cheeses, olives, fig preserves and toasted bread. Everybody enjoyed their dinner. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather, and people watching. They have a small but mighty selection on their happy hour, which is 3pm- close everyday. I ordered the Cabernet, which turned out to be quite good for $5. Hubby had brown derby for $6 and Friends got Moscow mule for $5. Eric, our waiter was very helpful and attentive. We will be back.

Had to try out 1 of the top 10 burgers in Austin while we were there. Pretty darn good. The fried pickles were really good as well. If you're in the area stop by and check out second bar + kitchen.

Came here because our group was hungry and we got stuck waiting for a table at another restaurant that we had made reservations for :( Anyways, we came here and ordered a couple drinks to start and then ended up staying for the rest of dinner. We ordered a Manhattan and then a Gin and Jam. The Manhattan was standard, but the Gin and Jam was so interesting. It was actually just jam on top of some gin with crushed ice. Honestly, wasn't the most pleasant drink because the jam kept getting stuck in the crushed ice. Probably wouldn't order again. We ended up ordering 3 pizzas and a burger for dinner. The burger itself was standard and well cooked. It didn't have that depth of flavor that I waas hoping for, but the ingredients were fresh and it was well cooked. The pizzas on the other hand, we were a little disappointed for the price. They were about 12 inches in diameter with a 1.5 inch crust. The pizzas were well topped with stuff but the flavors were just not the most flavorful. Maybe it was missing that acidic or spice factor, but it unfortunately didn't hit the mark. The service though did hit the mark for us and she was amazing. No wait for a table, and would recommend as a new-american restaurant. Nothing that memorable but a solid option none the less.

I asked what the server recommended. He said Salmon. I wasn't sure (even loving Salmon) but I took his recommendation, and have to say the flavors are absolutely amazing and the Salmon is arguably the best I've had. I never. Ever. Thought I would have my best Salmon dish in Austin. 🙌🏼
