I had very high hopes for Loro, and let me tell you they did not disappoint. From the atmosphere, to the food, and the service, everything was 5 stars. We got the majority of the menu to split between 4 people, and each dish came out and not one dish let us down. Asian Barbecue fusion was done correctly at Loro. The corn fritters, the coconut scented rice, snap peas, the brisket, chicken and steak, I didn’t even get pictures of everything because we couldn’t wait to dig in. Will most definitely return!
This place is De-Lovely. A perfect mix of Asian Fusion and Barbecue. The cheeseburger is to die for and the drinks are unique and delicious. Excellent prices too. This is now our special occasion place without the high bill attached to it. :)
Beautiful space inside and out! Excellent meal with reasonable prices. We showed up on Sunday at open and got a spot on the patio. We tried almost everything on the menu, but my favorites were the bavette, pork belly & chicken. Also the frozen gin & tonic and mango slushee were delicious and refreshing! I'll definitely be back!

Don’t let the line around the building deter you - it moved quickly and we enjoyed a cool beverage under the trees while we waited. It was worth the short wait—all the entrees and sides we tried were delicious - each of us had wonderful meals and cocktails. The friendly staff was cheerful and so helpful! We’ll be regulars. We may have to drive down again this weekend from Dallas...I feel a craving coming on.
Excellent food and libations. We had the Grilled Snap Peas with kimchee emulsion (my favorite), the Chicken Karaage (very good), the Smoked Brisket (excellent), Smoked Prime Bavette (also yummy) and the Salmon (superior).
For beverages, we enjoyed a Gin/Tonic slushie (I loved it and I don't generally like gin or tonic), Lemongrass Daquiri (delish) a Vodka Lychee Arnold Palmer (refreshing but not memorable), Mango Sake Slushee (also good, but nothing earth shattering). They also had a good beer selection which was a little heavy on the IPAs. I enjoyed Philosophizer Saison (Adelbret) and "Rupture" fresh grind ale from Odell Brewing.
Our guy was Kelon, who was delightful, accommodating, funny and fast!
Thanks, Kelon - you're the best. Nice atmosphere - loved the ordering protocol. Kudos, y'all.

Excellent food and drink! For only being open a couple of weeks, service was great. Great atmosphere. Line was out the door when we left around 7:00 - but I say it’s worth it. Highly recommend!
Best restaurant in Austin right now. Loved the open table seating (the concept of having servers is a dying one), food comes out fast and delivers an amazing variety of flavors. I was with a group of 8 and we got everything on the menu which came out to ~$300ish. Nothing disappointed! The TV setups, interior and exterior decor were all perfectly done.
Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere while tasting fantastic dishes that you cannot prepare at home. Ate there with my teenager daughter (brisket sandwich), the corn side (totally addictive), and I had the curry chicken. A party of flavors and the right portions. Excellent beer options. Family friendly. Loved the backyard party ambiance! Kudos!
Brisket was on point! Advise to get there fairly early bc the line was wrapped around the building by the time we left. Atmosphere was very chill. Will definitely be back to try more menu items.
The salmon was amazing. I ordered 2! I loved the communal seating and the laid back atmosphere. Don’t let the line fool you. It moves quickly. The employees are very hospitable making the experience very memorable. I can’t wait to return.
Amazing food. Get the Malaysian Chicken. Super friendly staff. Line moves very quickly. The popcorn with burnt ends are a must do.
Order different things of the menu, everything was very flavorful specially the rice bowl with pork belly. Nice place, loved the outdoor area, kid friendly :) would def be here soon
Such a warm and welcoming place! We enjoyed all our meals and the service of the staff, most specially our server, Chris.
Will definitely bring more friends to enjoy meals here.

Didn't think it would be busy on a cold Tuesday night... wrong. Be prepared for a minimum of 30 minute wait. We were a party of 5 and waited almost 50 minutes. Parking is challenging as well.
Check the website. Order at the bar, no table service. The staff was great, Friendly, And quick. Food came out quickly, as it was ready. It was all hot and delicious as it was served quickly, but understand your tables food will NOT come out together.
ALL of the food was FANTASTIC. Great amount, worth the cost.
Had the best experience here on our first visit so much so we went again a day later. The food, the atmosphere and the service was excellent. Highly recommend their Chicken Karaage, The Malaysian Chicken Curry Bowl, Brisket Plate, the Kale and Pear Salad and their Key Lime Pie. This was our first visit to Austin and Loro was the first place we chose to grab a bite on our visit. We were glad to find a Loro in Houston as well. Same quality in terms of food as Austin but not the same cool vibe. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Austin. It’s very popular throughout most of the week but their plenty of space.
What a fun and delicious lunch in Austin. We didn’t realise how big the restaurant was but still the service was fast and friendly. We loved the Asian flavours and was surprised to see some Malaysian inspired flavours since we lived in Malaysia. Everything was very good…you can taste all the flavours but nothing was overpowering, which was great.
I've gone twice for happy hour and the experience on both occasions was exemplary. (I sat at the bar on both occasions.)
You can either sit outside on the patio area which is really nice when it's not 108° outside or inside where it's air conditioned.
The happy hour menu was very delicious & the wait staff was very attentive and polite.
You can still order from the main menu but if you want to get a bigger bang for your buck, happy hour is where it's at.
The hype of this place is absolutely real! The rice bowls are definitely delicious! Although I order the pork belly rice bowl I wish the pork belly was a bit crunchier to counter balance with all the softness and add texture, I still think it was really good. The atmosphere is really cool and the interior space is open concept with an option to outdoor space. Overall a great experience.
Loved the vibe and concept of Loro. The restaurant was beautifully designed, great outdoor seating. The concept was pretty different than any other place I've been. It has the feel of a really nice restaurant, but you order your food at the bar and then they bring the food to you. It was super crowded but we got our food quickly.
I got the brisket, coconut rice and the Texas sweet corn. The brisket was perfectly cooked and had a unique flavor with the Asian take that was awesome, the coconut rice was so so perfect with the brisket. The corn was a miss, not horrible but it was not close to the same level as anything else we had. Tasted like canned corn.
The potatoes and edamame were also excellent.

Visited Loro with a friend and were seated at the bar after about a 15 minute wait time. The food came out really fast and that was a pleasant surprise. All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly. Portion size vs price is on the higher side. The sandwiches are a la carte and the plates are relatively small though flavored and cooked well.
I was here with my office colleagues for dinner. Here they don't take reservations but luckily when we reached here our wait time was 30 minutes which was worth it as we were so hungry that we divided ourselves into two groups once we decided what we wanted for drinks and food. It's a self-serve place but the food is served on the table by the servers. One thing for sure is to come to this place and not have brisket then what else can you have. I will recommend it any time here. It's so delicious, soft and it just melts in your mouth. As I am writing this review, I can recall the taste in my mouth even now... Food should be like that! It's worth the wait, it's crowded no doubt but even if it's crowded with people you have privacy on your table as everyone is busy eating and enjoying. I truly believe if you're hungry and/or if the food is delicious, you just don't bother as your mind is in a mediation mode and you don't care what's happening in your surroundings. I'm Austin this is where I would like to go again and again. The service is great, it's fast and delicious.
Lot of peanuts in dishes but the kitchen is very careful; I had no issues with a nut allergy.
We arrived at Loro at 8PM on a Wednesday and were surprised to find it absolutely packed. Like, line-to-parking-lot packed. Despite this, we were able to get seated in 20 minutes at the bar (opted for "first available") which turned out to be great seating.
Food comes out crazy fast and the bartenders are very attentive here. Great service overall. Water is available at various refill stations but the bar always had us covered.
The best way to do Loro is family style, as many dishes are sharable. We had all of the following (and took a bit home for leftovers):
Slushie Flight - Because I couldn't decide what to get.
Bourbon hot chocolate - rich, minty, little caramel from the bourbon. Delicious seasonal offering replacing their Vietnamese Coffee Slushie (so I was told). 4.5/5
Rum colada - A little vanilla flavor, unlike your standard Pina colada - less pineapple, more sweet. 3/5
Mango sake slushie - First sake aftertaste I got out of a slushie! Might be the best sake slushie I've ever had. Light mango notes top it off. 5/5
Sides:
Sesame rice noodle - strong sesame flavor, slightly overpowered by cilantro, nice spice with the chili vinaigrette. Portions too small. 3.5/5
Texas sweet corn - Carried by the chili aioli. Not worth the price. 1.5/5
Crispy potatoes - Don't sleep on these. Great filling, sharable side with awesome dipping sauce. 4/5
Sharable:
Chicken karaage - came with ghost pepper aioli and we got habanero aioli as a bonus. Hands down the best dish we ordered for the night. Flaky, crispy exterior with sweet flavor and moist chicken inside. This is better than some Korean fried chicken I've had. 5/5
Smoked Salmon Dip - Chips came out hot! But the dip itself was a bit flavorless and the yuzu didn't compliment it too well. Honestly, I thought the chips had more flavor than the salmon dip. 1.5/5
Main:
Char Siew Pork Belly - I wanted to love this. The hoisin sauce was awesome. Unfortunately, the meat was dry, and that ruined it. 2/5
Curry marinated shrimp - Comes with a nam jim fish sauce that is quite intense - use lightly if you're not used to it. Overall, a very unique dish that I can't really rate. The curry has a touch of lime, a touch of spice, and feels almost like a fusion dish. I'd recommend it but wouldn't order it again. ?/5
Overall, a nice experience with great service. I'd come back for the sake slushie and the chicken karaage.
Food: 3.5/5
Service: 5/5
