Complimentary valet was nice, because I hate to look for parking. My family and I, shared the triple mimosas: watermelon and ginger, strawberry lemonade, and fruit punch, the juices were served separately from the champagne, so you can mix it they way you like it. We also got coffee. My husband is a coffee snob... He liked their coffee. My father liked that they serve real whipped cream for the coffee. We ordered a cinnamon roll, scones, biscuits and gravy, sausage, quiche, and the ham schnitzel. The scones were served with seasonal jam, it was runny but tasty. The cinnamon roll and scones, were delicious, I could have eaten those all day long. I liked the biscuits, my father thought they were too hard, had to use a knife to cut through them. My husband and I liked the sausage, great flavor. The schnitzel was perfectly breaded and topped with sunny side up eggs. The overall atmosphere was comfortable and casual. The staff were friendly without being overly solicitous. After eating till we practically burst, we went walking, they have a nice outside area by the river. We are always looking for new places to brunch, but I think we'll be back again before searching for another place to try.

Loved the valet parking, bunch menu, ambiance, staff, etc. I'd say it's kid friendly too. My 4 kids that included 15 month old g/b twins loved the crab Benedict, orange juice, quiche, scones and biscuit and gravy. My kids are foodies and enjoyed every bite. Thanks you for accommodating our party of 9 on such short notice. Please add a decadent hot chocolate with your homemade whipped cream to the brunch menu.
Atmosphere, food and service was excellent. We took our daughter for her birthday she had a great time along with us also. Our server brought ice cream with a candle and we didn't even ask and our valet service was great. The young girl is on top of things !!!
Nice setting on the river, excellent food. Tried the chicken fried steak as an appetizer for 8...awesome. All around excellent food, drinks and service. We will be back.

I highly recommend eating at Jacoby’s. The atmosphere is awesome and the food is delicious. It’s got that Austin, Texas vibe. There are plenty of places like that in Austin though. What sets Jacoby’s apart is how they responded to my so. Troy tonight. My son is 7 years old, has Autism Spectrum Disorder, and is non-verbal. He was hungry and tired, and started melting down. My husband took him out so he wouldn’t be a disturbance and the manager came to the table to make sure Troy was ok. She asked if there was anything they could do to help and make him more comfortable, then brought him a large plate of fries and didn’t charge us for it. Compassion like that is so refreshing!
I would definitely go again!!!! Yummy yummy get in my belly!! Meatloaf was on point! The complimentary cornbread was double point! And that fresh pimento cheese... ooooooohhhhhhhhh yahhh!!!❤ love on the table!
Some of the best food in all of Austin. Very cool atmosphere as well.
I love sitting outside and just relaxing. The family style items are incredibly delicious and the entrees are both comforting and farm fresh. Love this place.
Sit at the bar, trust me. The burger (best one in town, just saying) ends up being only $10!! the Strawberry IceCream was delicious & the perfect serving size. Great cocktails and beer. This has definitely become "Our Place".
Great service and awesome Bloody Mary!! The duck confit migas was delicious and the French fries were seriously the best I've ever had!
Reserved a table for a birthday get together. Staff was awesome even received a birthday card, thought that was pretty cool. Drinks were good and not too weak. Food was very good. Loved the grits. We also had the chicken fried steak and waffles. You better make sure that you are hungry it was huge !!! And soooo good !!!!!
The place has inside and outside seating. The inside seating is a little dark but cozy.
First time in Austin and I wanted to get some good food. I found Jacobys and I'm a southern boy so I wanted some biscuits and gravy.
I got the biscuits and gravy and it's a starter on their menu but it's really filling. I got 2 large biscuits and the gravy was hot to server. Overall it was really good. Biscuits was kinda cold in some areas of the biscuit. I could tell it was made early in the day and they heated it up before serving. But the heavy was hot, see pictures and video.
I then ordered the fried steak and waffles and that was really good but it was too much after the biscuits. Its a meal for two maybe three lol.
See pictures and videos.
The only con was there was no wifi and my service was pretty bad inside so I had to walk out to do this review.
Some of the best Brussel sprouts I’ve had! The burger was delicious too. Great service and a great patio with heaters for when it’s cool
First time at Jacoby’s, ordered the Pimento cheese which was just ok, the flatbread that came with it tasted abit dry and hard. The stuffed yeast rolls were just ok as well, kinda reminded me of an Asian bbq bun. For my main I ordered rib eye ($48) medium rare and I have the say the steak was well cook and well seasoned, the mash potatoes were to die for. The mash had a hint of cinnamon or cardamom which I loved. I would just go back for the mash and I’ll be happy. I did also try the chicken friend steak which I felt wasn’t any different than chicken fried steak you can get somewhere else. Ofcourse we finished off with the strawberry cake which was good, wasn’t too sweet and the icing was good too. Drinks there were nice but they can be alittle pricy.
The staff was very friendly, our server Becca was great and helpful. We went on a Wednesday around dinner time and it was kinda dead, they placed us in the room and we were the o my party in there all night. We checked out the outside and the bar area and it seemed slow as well. They do have complementary Valet which is nice, just make sure you tip.
Overall it was a nice place to go to, staff is welcoming, food is good. Would I go back maybe on a special occasion but not your average place to go eat on a regular.
I went there for my birthday dinner last week and it was great. I love the Christmas decorations and the food was excellent.
ABSOLUTELY delicious. Holy cow I’m so impressed. The tater tots were a last minute decision but I’m honestly most impressed by those! They were soft and fluffy. Best potato I’ve ever eaten. I’m vegan and got the off menu vegan option, also amazing. My fiancé got the chicken fried steak with waffles which he said was also on point!! The drinks were also phenomenal. I’m extremely impressed with ever aspect of this place. Will be back for more!
Absolutely loved this place! Service was wonderful, food was unique and delicious, happy hour is perfect for a small bite. I only wish their mercantile area was bigger! I loved it. It’s definitely an experience going here. From the host to the server this was great!
Recommend the Pork Loin Rillette (beware it is spicy!) and strawberry cake. Food was elevated southern comfort. The atmosphere and service has more of a casual feel. Unfortunately, the outdoor seating was not as nice as I expected being seated right next to the plastic sheets. Maybe nicer when it's warm to have a clearer view of the river. Service was attentive but would have liked it to be slower paced for less dinner interruptions.
Great location with a wonderful atmosphere and well-cooked food. I heard Jacoby's offered brunch, so I had to give this place a try. We ordered biscuits and gravy as a starter, this turned out to be a big mistake. The portions here are very generous and the biscuits are no exception. These biscuits are huge and the gravy is very tasty (needs more gravy with the order).I was nearly full when our main courses were delivered. The beef and hash (nothing like corned beef&hash which I was told it was similar to)is a unique dish, everything is cooked well and tastes good. My problem with the dish was there is way too much BBQ flavor in the hollandaise so it overpowers the other flavors. Bottom line everything we ate here was good, not great. The food tastes very good but the thing missing here is execution. For example, the biscuits and gravy need more gravy with the order, otherwise, the giant biscuits come out dry while eating. The service here is exceptional, everyone is very kind and quite engaging. We sat at the bar and our servers kindly answered all of our questions and made great recommendations. Jacoby's is worth a stop and I'm positive you'll enjoy the meal and dining experience.
Such an amazing restaurant and atmosphere. Kyle our server, was super sweet and welcoming. The food was delicious but I will say the dairy free cheesecake was underwhelming. But being dairy free cheesecake that's to be expected. I did hear that the strawberry cake was quite a delicacy to be had. Will come again.
Country fine dining. Very limited indoor seating. Reservation is a must and can be found with reasonable anticipation (1 week). Very good cocktails, tables for big parties, many shareable appetizers and sides. I highly recommend the tater tots (super cheesy), chicken fried steak and the bbq meat loaf (it is different from traditional not too saucy). Valet parking only as there is limited parking available.

Had an excellent brunch! The scone and cornbread and deviled eggs were a great way to start, and the beef hash was delicious. The chicken friend steak and waffles was HUGE and very tasty, too. Service was great and the outdoor patio was comfortable despite the blazing heat.
Austin has become one of my favorite getaways. It’s close, hip, and plenty things to do and places to eat. Jacoby’s is one of those places to eat and has become one of my favorite places when I go to Austin. This time was no exception. The service is always great and their food variety is also very good with good GF options. Their food and drinks are always great and not your standard fair. The ice cube in my cocktail had vegetables frozen in it and it was crystal clear. Their bloody Marie’s are delicious and they are made fresh in house so you can make them as spicy as you want and the dressing is tasty as well as eye catching. They also sell mimosa’s by the pitcher and the variety of juices are served on the side so you can control how much is in each serving. They also have a good variety of juices.
Okay, now for the not so good. I wasn’t a fan of the GF cheesecake but the crust was delicious. The cheesecake itself had the texture and taste of jello. Presentation was nice but I wasn’t a fan. Also, my ribeye had the oddest texture and no taste. I couldn’t figure out how they cooked it. I didn’t know if it was grilled or pan seared. To be fair, I didn’t say anything to them or send it back so I don’t know if it was a fluke or that’s the way it is prepared.
Overall, it’s still my go to. If I’m in Austin I will be going to Jacoby’s. The food is too good to pass up. No one gets it perfect every time but they come as close as you can get and I’ve gotten a lot more amazing than bad.
Excellent service, top notch everything but beef. 2 Ribeye, 1 NY Strip & 1 Flatiron all were 2-3 stars. Tough. All but one were Medium Rare, other was Medium.
The Taylor Fladgate Tawny was priced nice, the Strawberry cake was outstanding. I personally eat nothing strawberry because it all tastes so artificial and too sweet to me. But this was amazingly low sugar and tasted like fresh strawberries. Two thumbs up from me! A new chocolate with cherries dessert was loved by all four of us.
We will be back, but will go with something non-beef next visit.
This review is strictly in regards to their brunch experience because, come to think of it, I've never been there for dinner. I'll have to remedy that soon. Jacoby's is SO GOOD. But at it's price point it's more of a let's enjoy this once-a-month kind of good. Also, it's BUSY. Like, real busy. Like, make a reservation kind of busy. But all that being said, the food and the atmosphere is incredible. Beautiful patio. Pro tip: if you want to maximize the value, treat this place almost like a tapas style restaurant because the portions here are GENEROUS. Easily enough to share. Highlights include the deviled eggs with bacon and pickled vegetables and the biscuits and gravy but the REAL sleeper item here is the strawberry cake. Holy moly it might be the best cake I've ever had. Also random highlight that I've never noticed anywhere else -- the silverware, plates and cups are all amazing. Like you're camping in a fancy cabin.
The food and drinks here were unique and amazing! Worth treating yourself for a special night out. Our server Vinny was also fantastic - he found the perfect balance of being attentive and anticipating our needs/giving recommendations, and giving us space to enjoy our meal and conversation. Will definitely be back!
