If you’re shopping in the area and are hungry, come check out Boiler Nine! It’s a bit tucked away in the corner, but it’s right next to Trader Joe’s! I came for lunch and had a great time. For starters, I got the Avocado Hummus and it was unique. It tasted like a blend of guacamole and normal hummus. I’m not a huge fan of hummus, but this version was pretty good. For my meal, I got the Roasted Chicken Melt and it was great! I’m also not a huge fan of chimichurri sauce, but this particular combination complemented the other sandwich ingredients quite well. The portion was huge, I almost didn’t finish it! The service I received was great, the server was very knowledgable. The ambiance here is also nice, very relaxing and laid-back. All in all, I had a good experience and will be back again!

Stopped in for a predinner drink and snack in the basement lounge. The beer bread was smoky and tasty. The steak frites were well seasoned and warming on a rare cold day. The drinks were tasty, but not incredible. I'm glad we came during happy hour. Service was attentive. The industrial atmosphere was offset by the wood furniture and candles. I would like to return and try out the full menu as well as the observatory deck.

This place is so cool. The food was great and the $5 mimosas made it perfect. Highly recommend making a stop here. Seeing the way they have renovated the building is worth trip alone.

Excellent place for a dinner outing! They were accommodating to our request for a table change, and the service was a pleasant experience. Highly recommended getting the beer bread, it was a delicious appetizer with a unique taste. The restaurant also has a great selection of beers for those interested. Only downside would be that all the items on the menu are a bit pricy, so be prepared to dig into your wallet.

Very good food with a unique menu. Happy hour is good with deals on drinks and food. They have several good veg options and awesome beer bread. Cool bar and great drinks also. Would definitely recommend.

Great place, bartender's are super friendly. Haven't tried anything yet besides the beer bread, but it is phenomenal.

I came here for the after party of my sister-n-law's engagement. Her fiance proposed prior to all of us meeting them here. She had no idea until she to the boiler. Overall this place was hip, cool, and chill! I really enjoyed the healthy but tasty options they offered. They have a full bar and man I really enjoyed the appetizers and drinks. The drinks were were strong but good! I got the sirloin streak and honestly it's one of the best steaks I have had. Grant it doesn't come out like a steak house, but honestly it was delicious! As for the appetizers you have to try the pickled okra. You cannot go wrong with that appetizer. Very unique and delicious flavor. The facility itself was open, good lighting, and the bathrooms were very clean. Parking is a breeze if you park in the garage that is close by. They will give you a reimbursement ticket with your receipt with a digital barcode on it. Our waitress was kind enough to remind and ask us.

Food was really good albeit a bit overpriced given portions and ingredients. The Green Velvet cocktail was a highlight.

I really love this place. It has a few different "atmospheres" to choose from and they all offer great drinks and delicious food. The rooftop deck is really cool and the main restaurant has a great vibe to it. Definitely try the shrimp cocktail (it's not your ordinary shrimp cocktail!) and the Green Velvet cocktail. I'm looking forward to trying the brunch menu on the weekend.

I am generally cynical about, oh, pretty much every feature of Boiler Nine as a general rule, but I had a VERY good experience here on New Year's Eve! All the food was excellent, particularly the steak fries and oak chicken entree. The closest thing to weaknesses were the pot de creme (good, but VERY rich and the two of us didn't love it enough to finish it) and the cocktails (fine but small - though honestly, the hot tea was good enough I'm happy to stick with it in the future). The space is very attractive, the service was good, and the location is great for a walk on the river. A great splurge-y date night. We also checked out the bar downstairs - very comfortable and attractive, though the drinks were still on the small side.

I'm so glad I found out about this place through Seated, they have amazing options and Boiler Nine is one of them! The food was so tasty and had exploding flavor. The atmosphere was very nice and industrial because it is in a power plant. Has this amazing rooftop deck that serves as a bar and a great view of Austin. It is located in a very cool area and has one hour validated parking. For the dishes I would definitely recommend the eggplant flatbread and the goat cheese stuffed dates! A++

The food and service was excellent. The pricing for a complete meal might be higher than it first appears because the entrees come with no or very little extras (e.g. vegetables). Of course, for many upscale restaurants this is not unusual, but I do want to point that out. FYI - Realistically for an average meal quantity, it is probably in the $40 range plus beverage plus dessert. By no means a deal breaker, but it is better to understand that upfront.
