Probably the best tacos I have ever had! I ordered the Baja Shrimp taco and a Brushfire taco, both were tasty, but the Baja Shrimp is where it is at! Everything about the shrimp taco just works: hand-battered fried shrimp, cooked cabbage slaw topped with pickled jalapenos, onions, queso fresco, cilantro, and a wedge of lime; served with chipotle sauce and choice of tortilla. Amazing chipotle sauce. Be warned the diablo sauce that comes with some of the tacos, like the brushfire, is very spicy! (but has a good taste still, not too overpowering). The queso is very good! They have local brewed sodas available from the fountains. FYI this place also has a "secret menu" just search online and they can whip those tacos up too! This is a place where you go to the register and order and they bring the food to the table. We went during a busy lunch time, but they managed to get us through the line quickly and we didn't wait long for the food either! Prices are very reasonable tacos range from $3 and change to $5 a piece. Two tacos is definitely enough to fill up the average person. Highly recommend this place, I just wish there was one closer to home. So far they are just in Colorado, Texas, and Oklahoma.

The first thing you notice about this place is the excellent friendly service. The choices on the menu offer something for everyone, and they will alter it according to dietary needs. The tacos are twice the size of normal ones, so keep that in mind while ordering. Even when they are crowded, the services quick, and they bring your order to your table. The thing I would add to this place is a salsa bar. They have good salsa but you have to know what you want and ask for it. I still gave it five stars for the best service and tacos in town.

It's my husband's favourite restaurant. Whenever he visits Austin for work, he goes here for lunch or dinner. The food options are too many. Love their guacamole. Also their sauces/dips are really good. One would think their won't be many veggie options, but that's not true. I had veggie tacos, with fajitas, fried avocado, and they were delicious. A must try if you are in town. I will definitely go back

I love the tacos, especially the shrimp tacos. Our family eat there on a regular basis. By the way, they have a store in the circle C area near the HEB. Keep up the good work!

Good place to find unconventional tacos topped with tasty concoctions that sometimes are wild but are certainly always tasty. The queso is top notch and I love the patio on the side when it's not super hot outside.. cool place to go for lunch or dinner and if you're visiting Austin and want a unique bite that is delicious and different and is in constant rotation on any true Austinite's list of frequently visited lunch spots I would have to put torchy's high on the list of most of my friends go to tack spots.. Try it and tell me I'm wrong,!

A little pricey but really delicious. Got the beef fajita & chicken fajita. Beef steaks is tender with sweet and juicy grilled onion and red pepper on top. I like marinated meat which is flavorful and not just got flavor from the outside. Love the sauce that go with it. One suggestion: want to have the option of no cheese

Torchy's Tacos embodies the bridge between Austin BBQ and fresh Mexican food. I tried the Republican and the crossroads as well as their famous Queso and chips. My recommendation is to grab an order of the queso and chips while you wait for your tacos to be prepared. The freshness of the ingredients, paired with great meat just can't be beat!

One of the better Torchy's locations. Big space with outdoor tables. Menu is always good, and always busy. Great for pickup orders. Never had an incorrect order.

We were visiting Austin from Seattle and came to this place for dinner based on the recommendation from my colleague. They had several options including a couple for vegetarians. I ordered fried avocado being a vegetarian and ny husband went for Baja Shrimp and Trailer Park Tacos. They were really good and we would definitely come back when in the area. The service was good.

First time visiting here and was super hesitant to try these different tacos. It's not the typical taco that I'm familiar with. But my goodness I was surprised!! Absolutely delicious and my entire party annihilated their food. It was quite busy at the restaurant during lunch hour, and the staff still took the time to explain it for a first timer here. Thanks for the delicious food and great experience!
