DELICIOUS!!! Go with the prefix menu! Highly recommend the octopus, guld shrimp, spaghetti, lamb, and the quail. We sat outside by the fire. Great service, plateware is on point and I appreciated the black napkins. Its a neighborhood gem and its a must dine in the ATX.

Great experience and good food. I had a glass of wine and shared a cheese board. The waiters were attentive and came by to check on us regularly. They also refilled our water glasses every time even though we could have done it ourselves. They did have to reach over our heads to get wine bottles from the wall, but they were very polite about it

I attended this restaurant with 5 other friends on New Year's Eve. The restaurant is nice and the atmosphere is cozy. Perfect for having cocktails with friends or for date night. When our party arrived we were seated promptly towards the back of the restaurant. The tables are quite cramped and we became very friendly with our neighbors. We were unaware the menu would be prix fixe when we made the reservation so we were a bit disappointed when we saw how limited our food choices were. This was our fault and we should've probably checked the restaurant's website a few days before. The options however were quite yummy. I tried the sweet potato gnocchi which was a bit bland. The cheese plate was three pieces of cheese with some bread which we thought was a little over-priced for $15 but it was also quite delicious. The steak, however, was out of this world (or I am guessing because my boyfriend thought it was the best steak he's ever had!) The specialty cocktails were also delicious. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I think I will definitely have to try this restaurant out again when their full menu is available.

Very unique atmosphere, the walls are lined with wine bottles that you can peruse and purchase for your meal/visit. They have a good selection of wine by the glass as well, and it seems like everyone really enjoys working there. We sat at the bar and had a few of the appetizers with a few different glasses of wine. It's not cheap, but the service and experience are worth it. We will be back!

The mussels are excellent and the wine selection is amazing. I was here for my best friends' birthdays on April 15, 2011. It was a great celebration. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable about its wines. If you like chocolate, then do not forget to order the chocolate cake. The value is comparable to other wine bar restaurants.

I took my clients to Vino Vino and had a lovely time. Vino Vino has some of the best service in Austin, with an intimate, cozy atmosphere and creative dishes that do not disappoint. The wait staff was attentive and proactive. The management came by our table to make sure our experience was ideal and offered suggestions for future visits. The food was inventive and delectable. I highly recommend the Texas country bread as a starter. Dessert was unbelievable. The price was also reasonable for an upscale establishment and the quality of the food. Vino Vino will be a mainstay in my Hyde Park routine for years to come. Thank you for such a wonderful evening!

There is a delicious wine for anyone to choose from with their very large selection. The recommendations on wine have always been spot on and satisfying. But, don't just go for the wine. The food is really good, too! We've had very good experiences with the steak and seafood options there on multiple occasions.

We went into dinner on a recommendation and our expectations were blown out of the water. The wine was good but if you don't order food you are a fool. The pork belly might possibly be the best dish I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating. Everything that followed only solidified that Vino Vino should be in the top 5 of every food list in Austin. Chef Ben personally brought us a couple of our plates and was both gracious and gave excellent help in how to best enjoy each dish. He's new to the restaurant so if you've been here before, go back.Get the cheesecake. And the pasta. Nothing served here will disappoint.

Went for happy hour, they have a great selection of wines and are very attentive and helpful. Our server helped my wife find a wine she might like, and brought her a sample to make sure it worked for her. We'll definitely be going back!

Great date night spot for wine and cheese or wine and dinner. Smaller menu, but every item has exceeded expectations. The bottle list is fairly big, but very well curated. Overall, prices are much more reasonable than other downtown spots. Will definitely be back.

I like this place! I have been there twice already with a date in the last 4 weeks. It is not overly crowded, it is candle lit and romantic. You can actually hear your date talking if you sit close to one another! wink... GREAT happy hour, love that they have plates to share! Excellent wine chilled to a perfect temperature!

I have always liked this place. I recently attended a big happy hour which was out on the back patio. I never knew there was an outdoor patio. The space is a bit small, but it's a nice alternative to the classy but dark interior. They have a wide selection of wines. The special events are usually very good. Despite thirty of us arriving at the same time, the staff was very efficient. If you are inclined and they are not too busy, they will talk endlessly about wine and nearly any topic.

Vino Vino has one of my favorite happy hours in town, and they're old-fashioned is delicious. The muscles were great. The Brie cheese dish was great. I had a few other appetizers throughout different visits that were all excellent as well and as you would expect from the name, there is an extensive wine and sparkling list. Parking can be tough but this is Austin.

We stopped into Vino Vino for a glass of wine before my birthday dinner, without realizing we needed a reservation. They were more than accommodating and even allowed us to have a drink in the waiting area at the front if nothing opened up. A small table in the corner became free and we ordered a nice glass of sparkling Gewürztraminer. It was a relaxing and great way to start the night. The food looked delicious! We will definitely be back.

The first time I came here I thought it was pretty cool. They have a great selection of wines and they really know their stuff. My most recent time here, I was sold for life! We were in a big party and probably stayed there far too long and through their peak hours at that. That did not in the slightest deter them from giving us INCREDIBLE service and ridiculously good food. I was searching for a specific wine I had on our first visit and the manager/owner actually came and helped me. They didn't have the exact one, but he was able to help me find one that was just as delicious and very similar to what I was looking for. We enjoyed plenty of delicious food and may have ordered most of their menu, but what stole the night was actually a cheese plate. More surprising was what we loved wasn't the cheese but the pecan tuille that accompanied it. Not to hype it up too much, but we ordered several more plates of just the tuilles and even though it's normally a very odd request, our waiter was awesome enough to bring them out plated very neatly and without even the slightest hesitation. I am very impressed to see all the staff care so much about what they do. I wouldn't normally think of this place when I think big gatherings (10-15), but they were very gracious with accommodating us and it made for a very fun, enjoyable, and comfortable experience. A big thank you to our waiter and all the people who helped make our night a memorable night!
