It's always fun catching a movie at Alamo. I watched Oppenheimer and enjoyed it quite a bit. The theater was clean, the service was great and the bathrooms were clean/everything worked. My popcorn was tasty too. I look forward to the next flick that I get to watch here. It's good idea to show up a lil earlier than the movie so that You get a chance to order some munchies.
Went to the Alamo this weekend to see the new hunger games, movie! Movie was great, but the service was even better. Our server Madison was so attentive and seriously, took serving one step further! I’ve worked in multiple restaurants and she is The perfect example of the kind of employee who deserves to be praised. From recommending delaying our dinner order so we could eat it at the perfect time in the three hour movie, to asking if I wanted a lime for my Diet Coke she really knew how to take care of us and make the experience so much more fulfilling! Thank you Madison and team!
I've been to this Alamo a good dozen+ times since it's opened. I've never had issues with the staff, the food, or the service. Fun events, a clean area. I even had a last minute raincheck and it was processed smoothly without issue.
Just dropping a five star to say Thanks for being part of many great afternoons and evenings well spent watching great cinema 📽️
Being British, Thanksgiving is beyond our compression so our annual tradition is to go to the cinema. This Alamo location is not too far out of the city centre, is clean and the servers were courteous. As the Alamo is an eat-in cinema we were fortunate not to be sitting next to someone crunching nachos or popcorn which can ruin the movie experience. The seats are extremely comfortable.
Our first time experience here was awesome! Saw the new Dungeons & Dragons movie, and they had lots of fun informational videos playing before the movie. The recliners are super comfy, and the service was terrific. I had the Glazed & Confused burger with fries and a chocolate shake, and it was all yummy. The theater feels very modern, and the video and audio were also top notch. I wish we had this theater chain in our area.
Went to a late night showing of the Barbie movie. Definitely not enough parking spaces so make sure to show up a little early to find a decent spot. Even though i had to park in another businesses parking space i didn't get towed and i felt safe and secure walking from and to my car in the late hours of the night. Beer on tap was good, popcorn was tasty but seemed to have too much butter that congealed at the bottom of the bowl. Movie was amazing.
It’s a beautiful place with a really nice atmosphere! The servers are also really friendly and will get you whatever you need. Just make sure you get there early so they can serve you properly and tell you how to order! (In case they don’t and had to learn the hard way like me you write on the order card and put it in the slot next to the pen holder or wave it at a server) Also just a heads up the bottomless popcorn really is bottomless it’s this huge large size tin bowl filled with popcorn, no size adjustments.
Over the last 6 months, I've been dealing with a major knee injury and subsequent surgery & recovery. In some periods of this (3 different braces, 2 types of crutches and 6 weeks in a wheelchair), Alamo Slaughter was the only place I could really go and be comfortable. The fact that you can book a spot that will allow you to deal with crutches & a brace or has multiple options for wheelchairs is a huge plus that I didn't recognize until this happened in summer. I'm super grateful for not just the kindness of the staff, but the structural accessibility built into the configuration of the theaters. During this period I got to show my kids Oceans 11, Hocus Pocus, Barbie, Hunger Games & more and it was an escape for me too.
Carnivore pizza was excellent! Make it angry, and it is even better. Seats need to be replaced or recushioned as it is aging fast. Other than that, we drive 20 min to go to this location and we love it!
Awesome theater with good food. I prefer the seating arrangement at this Drafthouse because the tables are split by couple rather than a giant bar style table, so it's easier to get in and out of the seat after the row's filled up. This theater is fairly large and clean. If you've never been to an Alamo Drafthouse, it's great. You get to reserve your specific seat, and there is service at the table, so you can order food and drinks. They have special menus that rotate based on big movies at the time, and they have a pretty extensive draft menu featuring plenty of local brews. The food is a little pricey, but it's also optional, so you can just enjoy the reserved seating if you want. Definitely makes for a great movie experience.
I keep coming back to this theatre. It's such a relaxing experience. I always buy my seats online, and show up generally when the movie starts. I like that they check your ticket while ordering food. Just sit back, eat, drink, and enjoy the movie. It's always clean and friendly.
Love this so much better than the big brand cinemas! Reclining chairs and tables with food and drink service - that comes to you! It is a smaller venue but it's a unique experience. They have lots of themed movie events and movies specifically for sensory sensitive kids and adults (lower volume, low lights, feel free to move around!). They also have "no kid" movies if you want a movie with no distractions - so you pretty much can have it your way. Tickets are reasonable and food and drinks were pretty good.
I love the queso. This is the original place in Austin to catch a movie and meal. The food is good, the ambiance comfortable, the servers attentive (to your raised card) and the movies are sometimes awesome and always well presented.
