Very busy restaurant and please make reservation beforehand. Limited choice on skewer but most of them are excellent to great. Brisket is decent but server is helpful and fabulous.

We had such a lovely time! The server had great recommendations for drinks and food, and everything came out perfect. The environment was chill and quiet on a Sunday evening, exactly how we like it :)

Came here for dinner during a quick day trip to Austin on a Friday. Made reservations a few days in advance. It was fairly empty when I arrived around 5p, but was quickly completely full by 6:30p. Service was great from our primary server to all the food runners. It's an Izakaya restaurant, so ordered about 15 dishes and a few cocktails. The drinks were fun and unique from the Grapefruit Sour that you juice the grapefruit yourself to the Matcha Pain Killer that's served in a Maneki-Neko glass. For the dishes, ordered many different items as they are made for sharing. They were small portions, but plenty enough to share. I couldn't even begin to say which was best or give a recommendation. I'd say be curious, open-minded, and adventurous in trying everything. Most were traditional Izakaya items, but there were also unique dishes and fusions. Highly recommend coming here if you're in Austin. Great food and service.

Love the concept. I challenged myself with the raw octopus which was interesting, weird but not really reccomended. Everything else however was outstanding, the bbq brisket, Japan style is great (I always thought that brisket and miso would be a great match), and even the cornbread was fantastic. The atmosphere is well crafted and it's definitely a nice place for an easy mid-week dinner with friends

Such a fun and unique way to experience BBQ and Japanese classics together. We got a hightop seat at the bar (recommend if dining as 2) and had a view into the kitchen all night. Staff was super friendly and gave us good recommendations. We started the meal with cornbread (good but not mind blowing) and followed it up with the smoked tuna - DELICIOUS. For our mains we got the hot pockets, Kara Age, and brisket binto style. All three were delicious, inventive, and just plain fun to eat. We also got the chicken skewers which were fine but not worth ordering IMO. We debated getting dessert and I am so glad we did. The banana pudding was AMAZING. It is salty, sweet, crunchy, creamy, and the miso caramel is nom nom nom 😋. Definitely a fun spot to check out!

A creative and delicious fusion of BBQ and Japanese food, really delicious! Only let down by the sickly sweet drinks options and slightly shabby outdoor seating area. Would go back for the food but the place could use a bit of TLC to keep the ambience up to par with the food. Really helpful and friendly staff and speedy service too.

Super busy and long wait to sit, even when we had a reservation. Food is great though and service when we finally got it was good. Super unique place u won't find anywhere else.

Delicious food, great service! Chris was our server and was great at breaking down the menu for us since we'd never been before! Highly recommend the Hamachi Collar and the Sashimi!

This place is a must visit! A beautiful atmosphere and amazing food. A local gallery owner recommended this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. We were lucky enough to get seated in the room with the kitchen in a very comfortable booth. Our waiter was really friendly and knowledgeable and highlighted quite a few dishes. The corn bread, brocollini, brisket and burnt ends were all top notch. The sting ray jerky was unique, with a sweet taste.

If you are looking for a totally unique experience and are adventurous with food, look no further! Everything was delicious, presentation was fun, service was friendly. Everything was wonderful! I was here 2 years ago and was excited to come back. We have high expectations on food and were very impressed and excited for every dish. I was still dreaming about the tofu pockets, had to get them. People are pretty ruthless on reviews here. It is tapas style and you pay for quality and thoughtful food. If you want cheap and quantity, go to Whataburger. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. Thank you to your team for your creativity and vision. Currently looking at Bento boxes online so we can recreate Japanese BBQ at home đŸ€”

This place was recommended to us by friends and we knew that it’s going to be a great experience but they absolutely exceeded our expectations. Every dish was perfect, service was top notch and atmosphere was fantastic. We loved everything about this restaurant. I have to say it’s probably one of the best if not the best restaurant I’ve ever visited. If you’re in Austin it’s must visit. Highly recommended

Coleyworld approved 💜 What a perfect fusion of Texas and Japanese food! Everything we ordered was so dang good! We also got the Mango Sala which was delish! Perfectly sweet and spicy. We left mentally and physically happier. I love the ambience too. Can’t wait to go back!

Great place. Service, food, decor/ambiance were all top notch. From the start the entire staff greets you as you walk in and give you some warm hand towels at the table. The menu was very unique and had both twists on classic foods as well as some more exotic options like jellyfish shots. Portions were on the smaller side so expect to spend a little more (like 40-50 a person maybe) but the quality definitely makes up for it.

Saw the Kara-age chicken on best thing I ever ate and omg it was amazing! As was their corn bread and their BBQ tsukemen! We will be back for sure.

Overall great food and drinks! Come for their happy hours on weekdays before 6:30pm, especially with a big group so you can try everything. Our group made it for happy hour and basically bought out the whole happy hour menu. Very worth it. I loved the unusual dishes with exotic food whereas my friends liked the more typical appetizers. Drinks were really good and fun! I'd want to come back and check out their other food options that aren't just appetizers or happy hour.

My experience here was amazing! I came with a large group so we had a fixed tasting menu. This menu was so robust with an incredible fluctuation of all types of food across their menu. We got the full experience. I HIGHLY recommend the pesto edamame (best I have ever had). The next must is the make your own hand rolls - we had brisket and this flavor burst was out of this world good. The atmosphere here is also 10/10. I have recommended many people to go here and they have all came back saying it was better then they expected!
